Paper Sundaes Challenge

This weeks challenge at Paper Sundaes is to use RED, YELLOW and GREEN on your project. I decided to use a Bugaboo image (Stella) I just got, that I love... I say it all the time!!!! LOL I made a notebook to enter into the challenge, thought it might be cute for my MIL! She likes her "drinks"!!!

Karen's Doodles Challenge USA - Anything but a card

This week at Karen's Doodles USA Challenge blog, they are doing a joint challenge with the UK blog....ANYTHING but a card! I wasn't sure if I could submit the same project for both, so I decided to bite the bullet and try these candles!!!! It was SO easy & they look so cool when they are done!!! I just need to get some cello wrap to wrap them up with ribbons and I should be able to sell these at my weekly Market that I go to!!!

<-- I added stickles to the balloon (mostly to cover up a candle boo boo) but it still looks pretty!!!

I had some help from Holly on how to do them "digi style" and she was a HUGE help!!! THANKS HOLLY!!!!! And Bob helped me with how to do it "rubber stamp style" - that one will be posted soon!!! THANKS BOB!!!!

Here is what I did (for DIGITAL IMAGES):

1. taped a piece of white tissue paper to a piece of copy paper

2. put it in my printer and print the images I wanted in the center of the page (so the ends don't curl and rip)

3. print images & pray the tissue goes through the printer (it did!!!)

4. colour images with Copics

5. carefully peel tissue away from copy paper

6. Trim around image (the closer you get, the better)

7. place image on candle where you want it (smooth out any wrinkles)

8. lay a piece of wax paper around candle (over image) and wrap around to back of candle so you don't burn your fingers!

9. Gently heat image with heat gun (you can see it start to melt into the candle) but don't heat too much or it will bubble and drip

10. Use wax paper to smooth wax down if needed .... but that should do it!!!

11. Embellish candle as you wish - ribbon, stickles, glitter, flowers, rhinestones, etc.

12. All done!!! EASY PEASY!!!!

For Rubber stamping, you do the same method above except you stamp RIGHT on the tissue paper (instead of printing on it!) - and that is it!

I can't believe I was so frightened to do this before!!! I LOVE IT!!! Now I have to go buy more candles!!! LOL (I just bought cheap white pillar candles from the Dollar Store!!!)

Here is the third one I did using a Squigglefly image that I LOVE!!! This is a Shy Bear..isn't he cute?? There is a whole schwack of them at Squigglefly...go check em out!!!!

Karen's Doodles Challenge UK - Anything but a card

This week at Karen's Doodles Challenge UK, the theme is Anything but a card! I had this neat box kicking around from my classroom - it was full of birthday postcards and stickers but it was a really sturdy box so I didn't want to throw it out! I decided to cover it and make a little treasure box for my niece!

Here is my project! I took a brown shopping bag that had writing on it, and covered it. I used ZOO ANIMALS set by Simon Says Stamp. I think it turned out pretty good, although in the picture you can't tell its a gift bag..but it is! Trust me!! LOL

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge....

I used some glittery paper, glittered up her dress, wand, the flowers, and her wings, added some jewels to her crown and sparkled up her shoes!!!! What Fairy Princess doesn't like SPARKLE?!?!??! LOL

Ribbit, Ribbit......

This card is for the Designed2Delight Challenge this week! If you haven't already checked it out, you really should! You get free digis just for playing along!!! And they are CUTE CUTE CUTE!! Check out this frog? Isn't he adorable?? FREE!!! But you have to start the first of the month to get the free images and keep playing to keep getting the free images!!! If not, you can still play but you would just have to buy the image!

This is an odd shaped card, as I used some scrap Kraft paper I had on my desk! The DP is from a pack called Nana's Kids by DCWV. I coloured the frog with Copics and then added some googlie eyes! The sentiment is from a fairy tale set I got a LONG time ago, I think it is Doodle Factory (but don't quote me on that!!!)

Birthday Tilda

This card was made with a die cut of a birthday card, some candle brads and some scrunchy ribbon. I go them all from a Paper Wishes card kit package. I added Tilda to the card as well as a sentiment to finish it off!

Seriously, nothing fancy today!!! .....lol
