Simon Says....Photo Inspiration

This week at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog our challenge for you is to use this photo to inspire your creation! I don't know about you, but that cocktail looks mighty YUMMMMMMYYY!!!!!! I took my inspiration from the colour, the umbrella and the "drink" theme and found the PERFECT stamp to use!!!!


I used a House Mouse stamp that I have had for a long time, which I bought at Simon Says Stamp! I think I bought ALL of my House Mouse stamps there...they have SUCH a great selection!! I coloured this with Copics and added Crystal Lacquer to the glasses - it looks more real in person!!!! I coloured the grass behind the mice with chalks. The DP was from my stash, very cute seashell paper - but unfortunately, this was the last piece...sniff sniff!!!! LOL Does anyone else find a little piece of their heart hurts when you use the LAST piece of a really great pack or piece of paper?? LOL

Designed2Delight Challenge

Another GREAT image from Faith over at Designed2Delight digi stamps! Her progressive challenge is on the move again for July!!! It really is fun, and if you haven't gotten into it yet...WHY NOT????? LOL Seriously, go check it out!!!!! FREE DIGIS!!!!! Only "catch" is, you have to make a card with that image and post it, in order to get the new digi the next week!! Sounds pretty easy to me!!!! Squigglefly PCP Grand Opening Celebration

This week Squigglefly is having a Grand Opening Celebration for the new PCP group!!!! There will be prizes and challenges and all sorts of fun!!! Squigglefly Challenges & some news!!!

I have rejoined the Squigglefly Design Team!! Some of you may remember I was on the original DT when Squigglefly first opened up....it was such an honour to be part of it then and to see how much they have grown over the year or so. The Corrosive Challenge Blog - Christmas

This weeks challenge at The Corrosive Challenge blog is Christmas. I chose a digi image from Karen's Doodles called Noel. I coloured it with Copics. The background is embossed with my Snowflake folder for my Cuttlebug, then sponged with Riding hood Red ink. The ribbon is from my local LSS,and the snowflake charm is from Simon Says Stamp. Soccer Boy

This image is from Karen's Doodles, called Summertime Boy - Soccer. He reminds me of some of my students, all bruised up from playing soccer at recess!!! LOL I used some paper from my stash, and distressed all of the edges. I coloured him with Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol.

I'm not sure if you are aware, but Karen has a DOODLE DIVA GALLERY blog (that I run) that has slide shows with sample cards and projects you can make with all of her images. I have it organized into the same categories as her store, so it is EASY to find inspiration!!! To get your cards into the slide shows, you just have to email me here: doodledivagallery@hotmail.ca and I will put your pics in the appropriate slide show!! COOL EH?? There is also a FEATURED DIVA contest running every Friday. Hey everyone!! I just looked at my Follower list, and I have 292 followers!!! WOW!!!! Who would have THUNK it?!?!LOL Sooooooooooooooo, WHEN I reach 300 followers, I will offer up some BLOG CANDY!!!!!
