Incy Wincy Designs Challenge - LOVE

This weeks challenge at Incy Wincy Designs is LOVE!! There are a TON of LOVE/Valentines challenges so you better be sure to head there and link up for a chance to win some great prizes!!!! This week I used an image from Di's Digi Downloads .

I used a round card base that I got from Michael's in the $1.50 bin - I liked the colour; it's not really red but not really pink either! It matches the DP from K & Company perfectly. I coloured Cookie with my Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol. The sentiment is from a TAC set and the rhinestones are from my overflowing stash of bling!! LOL

Karen's Doodles - Photo Inspiration

This week at Karen's Doodles, the challenge is a photo challenge. Here is the photo we want you to get inspiration from:

I used DP from a DCWV pack called Nana's Kids. It matched perfectly with stripes and polka dots in all the right colours!! Wheee!!!! The image is Ollie & Olga, available at Karen's store HERE. I used an old sketch from a Karen's Doodles challenge that I really like, and the ribbon is just from my stash too.

The Corrosive Challenge Blog.....ORANGE, YELLOW, RED!!!

This week at The Corrosive Challenge blog starts a new month, with a new sponsor, new prizes and new challenges!! This week, our challenge for you is ORANGE, YELLOW, and RED!!!! Great FIRE colours!!! I miss camping!! sniff sniff!! This week I have used Birthday Josh by Sparkle's Creations (our sponsor this month who generously sent the entire team a rubber stamp! Thanks Sparkle!). I used some great paper from a BO BUNNY scrapbook kit I got from Simon Says Stamp. I coloured the image with my Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol. The sentiment is from an old SU set.

The Stamp Fairy challenge...

I joined in this weeks challenge at The Stamp Fairy again, it is to make your own FLOWERS. I thought this little bear was PERFECT for some flowers!!! Oh how I wish I could go out and garden!! Brrrrr!!! Too chilly!!!

I used some paper from K & Company called Life's Journeys. This is Donna Sunbonnets - isn't she sweet?? If you think these images are too cute, head over to Gerda's store to pick yourself up some cuties!!! The flowers are layers of the same DP using my SU flower punch, and some pink rhinestones in the centers. The ribbon is Regal Rose (SU). I also added some crystal lacquer to the water for dimension.

So, head over to the store &/or challenge blog and get yourself some CUTE images, and then play along this week!!!! I WON LAST WEEK - Top 3....wheeeeeee!!!! So if I can win, you certainly can!!!!

Prayer requests...

Please pray for my sister and her family (and many other people in the area) who are in Cairns, Aus - Cyclone Yasi is the biggest cyclone to ever hit Australia. I am terrified for them. I know they are prepared and are thinking positive, but I know prayers will help. Thank you!

UPDATE: My sister Kim heard from my sister Cindy who is in Cairns - they are all fine, the house is fine. That was all she got, as her cell phone was breaking up. I am SO RELIEVED!!!! Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts!!! Hopefully their power will be up soon too!!!

NEW UPDATE: I got emails from my sister and my nieces & nephew! They are all A-OK!!! Scary situation, but they made it through!!! What a RELIEF!!!!!

Sorry this post is late! I have been glued to my TV & Computer trying to find out info on my sister and her family! Still no word but looks like most of Cairns has power off still...so I will be patient! I know in my heart they are fine, but it would just be nice to hear!!!

Simon Says.....LOVE

This week at Simon Says, we have a LOVELY challenge for you! If you head to the CHALLENGE BLOG, you will find out that the challenge this week is LOVE..... and the Design Team's fabulous creations are there too!!! Here is my card:

I used LOVING EDWIN from the 2009 Love Collection. The papers are from a Martha Stewart mat pack. I am SO in love with this paper pack!!! YUMMY!!!! I coloured Edwin with Copics and added Crystal STICKLES to his balloon.

FOR THE BIRDS SNOWMAN is the new freebie this week from Faith at Designed2Delight...if you played along last week!!!! If not, you can buy him HERE, then play along and get next weeks freebie!!!!

I was on a roll with the DP Sunny Garden from SU, so this card is a different colour combo for snowmen, but I kinda like it! There are pinks and oranges and yellows and greens in the DP so I tried to tie all those colours in with the rest of the card. I addd 3D snow to his hat and mitts...and to the ground. The sentiment is from a TAC set I've had for several years!
