Another ABC challenge entry....I'm on a roll!!!!

Ok, I admit I MIGHT be stretching the challenge theme over at ABC Christmas Challenge this week, but hey, can't hurt to try right?!?!! Their challenge is the letter B - so you have to use a BEAR (check), and either Bunting (had to look that up to see what it was!), Banners, Brads, Buttons, Bows, and Blooms. WELLLLL, my ribbon is tied in a bow - NOT a pretty bow mind you but it is a BOW! BUT for added measure, I included another B - baubles! The Christmas Baubles in Barry's paw - that should count too, don't ya think?? (I can see Samantha now....shaking her head at me!!! LMAO)

Anyway, here is my tent card I made using Barry from The Stamp Fairy.
The CS is Kiwi Kiss (SU) and the DP is from Cosmo Cricket - can't remember the pad its from though, it is pretty old! The ribbon is Riding Hood Red (SU)

Simon Says.....ANYTHING GOES!

This week, our challenge for you is ANYTHING GOES!
The DT are showcasing ECHO PARK products, so make sure you check out the amazing selection! The papers are incredible to work with - a nice thickness, wide variety of colours and designs....I must say, Echo Park is MY fave DP at the moment!!!

Here is my project:

I have used Penny Black - Garden Friends stamps set. The CS is Core'Dinations and the DP is Echo Park - Happy Days. I used Copics to colour the image. The butterfly is a 3 layer butterfly using the EK Success Butterfly layering punch (LOVE THIS!!!) - in real life there are 3 layers of the butterfly, it looks so pretty popping out of the card!!!

ABC Christmas challenge....

Hello everyone!! Happy Sunday!!!! I decided to use these really cute reindeer die cuts that I bought from ETSY to make some Christmas cards for next year. These cards are scraplings so are a bit smaller than regular cards, but still cute, all the same. I am entering these cards into the ABC Christmas Challenge Blog - Anything Goes

The CS and ribbon are Riding Hood Red and the DP is from Jillibean Soup - Christmas Eve Chowder. I was able to use up bits from other projects, so that makes me happy when I don't waste such cute paper!!! IF anyone knows which Cricut cartridge these cute reindeer are from, PLEASE let me know..... THANKS!

Better run and take the dogs for a walk! We are heading to my in-laws for a Prime Rib Dinner...yummmm! Can't wait!!!!

I only used SPOTS in my project - wasn't sure adding stripes would make it "better"..know what I mean?? So I just left it with SPOTS!!! LOL

I have used Memory Box ELEGANT SCROLL WORK DIE and Copics to colour the image. The flower punches are from EK Success that I've had forever & still LOVE!!!! The dark purple CS is Core'Dinations and the DP is from Kaiser - Lilac Avenue. The image I have used is Violet with Key from CC Designs.

Milestone Birthdays - entering into the Top Tip challenge & a few others

WOW, this year has been full of milestone birthdays!!! First, I turned 40 - don't feel 40 so that's a good thing!!! LOL

My sister turned 50, my brother in law turned 50, my mother in law turned 60 and my Dad is turning 80! Crazy eh?? Here are a couple of the cards I made - one isn't finished yet & the other I forgot to take a picture of before I gave it to my sister!

I have used the same GUS image from Bugaboo Stamps with different sentiments. The top one is for my brother in law who just got back from a year in Australia so thought this image suited him perfectly! LOL The bottom one is for my Dad and I used the same image because it reminded me when we were kids at our cabin in the summers. Dad never wore a speedo (thank God!) but its a funny image anyway!!!

I am entering this into TOP TIP CHALLENGE this week (my TIP is: If you want to add dimension to elements in your project, use CRYSTAL LACQUER. I used it on the beach ball and the pail. It looks and feels "real"!!!)

ABC Christmas Challenge.....

Hello everyone! I am going to try my hand at entering another challenge! I know there are SO many out there and I'm terrible for remembering to enter my cards that I make into them, so that is one of my Resolutions this year...to try to enter more challenges! My other resolution is to try to comment on everyone who comments on my blog!!! Phew!!!! Let's hope I can do it!!!!

This week at ABC Christmas Challenge, they are on the letter Z & the challenge is ZINGY colours! I hope these are zingy enough!!! The image is from High Hopes (THINK she is called Holly Fairy, but not 100% sure!) - have had her for a long time, and this year I finally inked up some of my old rubber! I'd gotten so lost in digis for awhile there, that my rubber was collecting dust!! LOL I think she is beautiful!!! The CS is Riding Hood Red and the DP is from a paper pack from Basic Grey called Nordic Holiday. The Holly leaves I bought from an Etsy store & just added bright red dew drops for the berries. The twill tape is from Martha Stewart that I've had forever! Not even sure she sells it anymore!

Simon Says....ANYTHING GOES!!!

This week, our challenge for you is ANYTHING GOES!!!!

Here is my project.It is a pocket calendar that I revamped for a colleague for our Secret Santa activity at school. She loves to bake, so I chose a cupcake themed calendar & made the image match the insides.

Here is the front of the calendar:

and the inside (purchased from Michaels for $1.50)
I decorated the cover then slipped it back into the plastic sleeve to protect it)

I have used CUPPIE, a rubber stamp from CC Designs. I used my oval Nestabilities and Copics to colour the image. The DP is from SU - not sure the pack as it was my very last piece, but it is sort of a tangerine colour - very pretty! The glittery letters are from the Dollar Store!

I just love this image called Cozy Winter Raccoon...isn't he sweet?? I used my Nesties to make the layers and have coloured the image with Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol. There is 3D Glittering Crystal paint on his hat and snow under him....hard to see but it makes such pretty snow!!!

Simon Says....BINGO/Tic Tac Toe

This week, our challenge for you is a TIC TAC TOE/Bingo board! All you do, is choose 3 items in a row (across, down or diagonal) and use those 3 things in your project! Here is the board for this week:

Here is my project. I used RIBBON, PUNCHES, and MULTI-FOLD. I have made a new tent fold card that I just LOVE! It is free standing and SO easy! I got the tutorial from HERE.

Here is the front of the card:

Side view so you can see the "tent" & how it stands (you can see the flap, that fits under the image - if you open that you can see inside the card! AND it fits into a regular A2 envelope!):

AND a close up of the heart punch faux button I made. I made this with my SU heart punch - punched 6 of them, ran them through my MESH embossing folder and glued them together. I punched the holes with my crop-o-dile and ran the ribbon through. Easy Peasy!!! I just love the "country style" look it has! FUN!!!

I have used Together Under the Moon by House Mouse as my image, and coloured it with Gamsol & my Koh-i-noor pencils. The sentiment is from a Simon Says exclusives set. The CS is Buckaroo Blue (SU) and the DP is from a DCWV adhesive mat stack that I've had FOREVER!!!

Dustin Pike challenge

The challenge this week at Dustin Pike is Anything But a Card so I decided to join in this week with my birthday party package that I made for a commission sale. I made the banner, cupcake sticks, goodie bag tags, food labels and the invitations.

Funny story about this project (bear with me!) I got an email from a lady who loved my dragon card (see bottom picture) and wanted to know if I would make a dragon themed birthday party package for her 4 year old son. I jumped right on it, for sure, because HOW FUN!!! It was something I'd never done before and totally wanted to try it! SO, I said yes, figured out a price for it all, and we went ahead with it. Only problem was, I was leaving for my vacation in Australia in 2 weeks. She didn't need the stuff until October so I wasn't worried, I could do it when I got home. Then, I found out she lived in Australia & I was bummed because there would be NO way I could get it all done & in the mail before I left so she'd have it in time (& not pay an arm & a leg for shipping!) After chatting with her, I discovered she lived in Melbourne & that was our first stop on our trip. All she needed right away was the invitations so I decided to make those first and take them with me & meet up with her. SO crazy how it happened like that, but it worked out PERFECTLY! We met up on our 3rd night in Melbourne, she got the invitations & I got extra Aussie $$ to spend! Wheeeee!!! THANKFULLY I packed the invitations in my carry on as Qantas lost our luggage for 3 days! Phew!!! I shipped the rest of the items to her in August & her son had a GREAT party!!!!

The invitations had vellum in the doorway, and opened up like a drawbridge with the party information inside. The card that was the inspiration for this party package is this one:

Here are a few pictures that were sent to me of the party, which ALL had a great time! I especially love how she took the invitation & had it blown up into a poster & then she painted it (I hope that wasn't a copyright thing!! GULP!!)

This week I have used Lenny Happy New Year for my card. The CS is Green Galore (SU) and the DP is from a pack from Michaels and my stash. I have coloured Lenny with Copics and added crystal lacquer to the clock and the wine glass for effect! The ribbon is from my stash too.

This image is really cute & reminds me a lot of when I was growing up! Our dogs ALWAYS had their own stockings and they had a "treat wreath" so every day before Christmas they would get 1 cookie. On Christmas Eve there would be a BIG TREAT for them. It always hung on my parent's fireplace & every dog we ever had would always sit & stare at the wreath until they got their cookie! LOL Too funny!!! I have coloured the image with Copics.

This week, our challenge for you is a PHOTO INSPIRATION CHALLENGE! Joy found this great collage of Christmas items for you to use for inspiration! There is SO much to look at, its a great photo! I hope you find some inspiration from it!!!

Here is my project:

I had a heck of a time taking a photo of this tag - because it is glossy white card stock and the weather has been so terrible - this is the best I could do, I am SO SORRY!!!! I used the poinsettia from the Popcorn Bear set called WITH LOVE and heat embossed it with Winter Wonderland EP. I used my OVAL NESTIES and the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder for the background. I have sponged the edges with Very Vanilla ink & the ribbon is Very Vanilla too. HONEST - in real life, this is SO pretty! I just wish there was a way to take a better picture of it!!!

The UNITY stamp set I have used is called CHRISTMAS EVE CHOWDER and it is SO cute!!!! It matches the Jillibean Soup paper that I have, so I had to have it all!!! LOL I have used some white cardstock & some scrap white to make the snow hills. The ribbon is from my stash. Simple card, but its kinda cute eh? I also used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder for the background.

This week I have used Tommy - Here comes Santa for my card. The Ho Ho Ho are little glitter die cuts I found in my Christmas stash & thought they worked perfectly with the image and the challenge of glitter!!! YAHHHHHH!!!!! The CS is Basic Black (SU) and the DP is from the new Recollections Christmas pack I just got from Michaels! I coloured him with Copics and added 3D Glittering Crystal glue to his hat & coat (there is glitter there too!!!!) I actually love this card - it is simple but really rather cute!!! Karen's Doodles Challenge - Anything but a card

Here is my project for this week - a door hanger for my Craft Cave!!! I used my Giga punch for the hole.

(good thing I had clothes on when I took this picture!!! LOL)

I have used APPLE OF MY EYE and coloured it with Copics. The CS is Kraft and the DP is from a new Recollections Christmas pack I got from Michael's last week.

Crafty project to share!

My niece and I decided to make these jewelry holders that she saw on Etsy. So we met at Michaels, got the supplies we needed then came back to my house to make them. Within 1.5 hours, we had shopped and finished our creations!

Here is mine - before necklaces:

And FULL of necklaces (I think I need to make another one, this is pretty full!!!)

I bought a picture frame (this one is 16x20) and took out the glass. I mounted cork onto the cardboard that was inside the frame then covered that with fabric. I hot glued it down to the cardboard so it was nice and tight, then popped it in the frame. Mine was a little trickier than hers, as the back holders were supposed to fit inside the groove, rather than slide over the back of the frame, but we managed to get it together with a little creativity! I bought little push pins to hang the necklaces off of, and hung it up!

Easy peasy project!! And what a great gift idea!!! So if you have someone that is hard to buy for - this would make a great gift. It was fairly cheap too - I think it cost me about $42 for everything - the frame was the most expensive...but if you went to a thrift store you might find them cheaper - or use one you already have at home! AND I had the fabric already too, figured I'd use it since I never sew!!!

Stamp Fairy NEW RELEASE - Lenny Christmas Scenes and a project to go with it!!!

Gerda has been hard at work again!!!! And she has created another amazing new release!!!! These images are incredible, so detailed and SO cute!!! I love the one of Lenny outside of the church...awesome!!!!

This set is called Lenny Christmas Scenes - head on over to the shop to get yours TODAY!!!!!

I have used one of the images to make my card. I also used the freebie sentiment which works so awesome with all of these images!!! I chose Kraft & Red as my colour combo because I'd seen it on a few blogs and fell in love with it! I think it looks so pretty together, don't you??

AND, the music sheet that is the background paper is actually from a Catholic Church song book from 1947!! When we were cleaning out my Mom & Dads house last Spring, there were some books that Mom didn't want, and that the antique book dealer thought were worthless....well....I snatched up those "worthless" books and have some GREAT new truly VINTAGE "Designer Paper"!!!! Awesome eh?? I LOVE IT!!!!

This week, our challenge for you is a PHOTO for inspiration!!!

Isn't it gorgeous? Perfect for this weeks Remembrance Day celebrations to honour Canadian veterans and fallen soldiers. Nov. 11 is an important day in Canada and the poppy is a symbol of this day!

Here is my project using the red & black of the poppies for inspiration:

I have used Real Red CS (SU) and the DP is from my stash. The stamp I used is HOLIDAY EMMA from CC Designs. All is coloured in Copics & the ribbon, flower & black brad are all from my stash! I used the D'vine Swirl embossing folder & my Cuttlebug for the distressed piece.

Hello everyone!!!! I finally made a project for fun - and I'm going to enter it into some challenges!!! I have made a little card box or gift box with a magnetic clasp. I am going to put some Halloween gifties inside it (rather than give him candy!!!!)

The images I have used are from the Stamp Fairy (Barry Halloween 1 and Halloween Scenes). The sentiment was in my stash (I think someone stamped them for me a few years ago!) I have coloured it all in Copics and added stickles to the witches brew. The images are both popped out, as you can see in the third photo. The CS is Summer Sun (SU) and the DP is from Heidi Grace. The magnetic dot is from Basic Grey.

This week I have used 4 stamps from the STAMP FAIRY - Barry Halloween sets and I have coloured them all with Copics. I used the png files that you get when you purchase these images, and layered them all to look like a scene! The clouds and moon are from Barry Spooky Bats set. The CS is Basic Black (SU) and the DP is from a polka dot pack from Michael's - I needed it for a specific project and have tons left!!! The bats are popped out from the original bats on the moon with my Martha Stewart bat punch, and I added a few more for effect.

Simon Says..... FAIRY TALES!!!

Here is my card:

I was inspired by CINDERELLA, when she first meets her Fairy Godmother. Unfortunately, its hard to see the dirt on Tilda's face - you can see it on her hands but not her face! It's there, honest!!!! I envisioned Cinderella looking up & seeing her Fairy Godmother floating there.....so that is where I went with this card!!!

I have used Elegant Eggplant & Lavender Lace CS (SU) and the DP is from Magnolia Fairy tale collection paper. The stamps I have used to create this scene are Tilda's Stone MURE, Flying Tilda Mini, and Tilda in Sark. The sentiment is from a PTI set, called Believe. All is coloured in Copics & flourish punch and rhinestones are from my stash!!

New Release - Stamp Fairy - Barry Birthday!!

Just when I think Stamp Fairy images can't get ANY cuter, Gerda pumps out some more AMAZINGLY adorable images.....this weeks release is NO exception!!!! WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!

How SWEET is this new release?? I think it is by FAR the cutest!!!! I know I say that for all of them, but GOSH I LOVE BARRY!!! HE is so fuzzy and cute!!!!

This is BARRY BALLOONS. Isn't he cute? I LOVE the expression on his face! I can't decide which I like the best, but I DO KNOW, I HAVE to have them ALL!!!!! (and there is a freebie this week too!!!!)

Simon Says....... SPARKLE & BLING!!!!

This week, our challenge for you is SPARKLE & BLING!!!!

Here is my card:

I have used a Happy Hoppers stamp called Buzzy Friends. I coloured them with Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol to give them a "fuzzy" appearance! The card base is from Hero Arts and the paper is from Paper Mania (Thanks LOLS!!) . The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp exclusive set! The flowers and rhinestones are from my stash, but you can BET I got them at Simon Says Stamp!!!!

Simon Says..... Die cut challenge

This week, our challenge for you is to use a DIE CUT on your project.

The DT is showcasing MFT (My Favourite Things) stamps and Dies. I have used a MFT stamp, but not a die - I have the Cloud Trio die but it just didn't work with this card & I really wanted to use this stamp! So, the die I used is a small rectangle Nestabilities. SO, IF you have MFT stamps or Die-namics, you can use them for this challenge! You don't have to, but we'd love to see them!!!

Here is my card:

I have used a MFT stamp set called READING FLOPSEY. I coloured him with COPICS then added some ribbon, a book charm and a button. The CS is Real Red (SU) and the DP is an Adhesive mat stack from DCWV.

This week I have used BARRY BALLOONS, and I made another Double Pocket Fold card. II have coloured him with Copics and added stickles to the balloons to give it sparkle. The paper is from My Minds Eye - one sheet of 8.5 x 11 makes this great card!!! Easy Peasy!!!! The balloon stamp on the tags is from TAC. The fibres & sparkley brads are from my stash.
