A couple challenge cards

I made these two cards for Kimmmie's sketch challenge this week in hopes of winning a new Magnolia stamp. I used Sweet n Sassy stamp set called Penguin hugs - absolutely adorable!!! The other one is a House Mouse stamp. The Penguin hugs card is made using the new Papertrey Ink paper - Spring Moss & Aqua Mist & their new pattern paper. The sparkley prima and the dew drop in the middle are from PaperWorks Co. The paper on the other card is So Saffron, and Cutie Pie DP - both from SU. The rhinestones are from Michael's.

Tilda in wellies

I made this card for my friend who has moved to the UK for 4 or 5 months with her husband for his job. I used a ready made card base from a box from Michaels - I know, it's cheating but it was so cute!! I coloured her using prismas & gamsol (odorless mineral spirits) That is a technique I'm always working on - trying to improve my colouring!!! I added a bunch of flowers from K&Company that I got from Michael's. The other paper I used is So Saffron and Cameo Coral. The white I used is Wausau Bright White cardstock from Wal-Mart. I still prefer my Cougar white that my friend picked up for us - it is THE brightest and whitest I have seen yet!

ETA - "Wellies" are the British term for RUBBER BOOTS!!!!

Accordion Card

I made this card using the tutorial from SCS here. It was fun & really cute!! We are going to make this on Friday night at my workshop! I hope the ladies will stop talking long enough so I can give directions!!! LOL It has so much potential - it could be used as a card, or an album, or a journal - the options are endless!! Of course I had to use my Tilda's again! This is an image sent to me, but I MUST have this stamp too one day!!!! LOL She is so cute and springy - I love her!!! The Tilda on the inside is one I own, so I was able to crop her with my scallop heart punch.
