Beam Me Up Scotty!!!

I made this card awhile ago for my brother who is a BIG trekky!!! I didn't have any space stamps so I printed pictures off the internet onto white cardstock and coloured them with my SU pastels. Inside, the card reads "qoSlIj DatIvjaj" which is Happy Birthday in Klingon. I don't watch Star Trek so I have no idea if Klingon's are bad or good guys....but I thought it was cute!!! I wiped white chalk over the card to create the Milky Way, then sprinkled chunky glitter for more stars. I used a star punch to punch out the stars in silver shimmery cardstock. I think he liked it!!! Well, I HOPE he liked it!!! LOL

It's been a bit crazy around here.....it is report card time so I have been marking my head off trying to get caught up, so I can do up my students' report cards!! I might be MIA for a couple days but don't worry, once they are done, I will post a bunch of new cards and things I've made!!! I still have to post pictures of my new stamping room...every time I think about it, I look around and it is a DISASTER!!!!! Once I tidy it up, I'll take a few pics and post them!! I LOVE it down here!!!! :) Cheers!!!!

A bit about me and my family

I am married to a wonderful man named Tim. It will be 3 years in April! Time flies!!! We have a dog named Brick and a cat named Tux. We just lost our cat Spunky last week, so she will be hard for me to talk about for awhile. Tux is 10 and he is diabetic. We found out he had Feline Diabetes in June and have been giving him 2 insulin shots a day since! He seems to be doing well and has put on weight and isn't pulling out his hair as much! And he's leaving the dog food alone!! Brick is a crazy mutt - we rescued him from the pound about 4 years ago, so we aren't sure how old he is but he acts like a toddler!! Who needs kids when you have a 70 lb. four legged one??? He is part Rhodesian Ridgeback, German Shepherd and maybe Lab but he is beautiful!! And nuts!!!! More stories on him to come!!!

My very first post!

Alright, here it is! I broke down and joined the blogger world!! I imagine it won't be as FAB as some of the blogs that I check out, but I will do my best to try! It will probably be a lot of random ramblings about life, my pets, my family, crafting, and my work! If you have any suggestions of things you want to see, let me know!!!
