OMG!! Will it EVER end?????????

We've been blasted with yet ANOTHER Spring snowstorm!! Last Thurs. brought us about 3 feet of snow, and again....yesterday it didn't stop snowing for almost 24 hours and it is STILL snowing!!!! We've had about 6 inches so far and they predict by Tues. we should have another 4 or 5 inches!!! WTF?????????? I am SO sick of snow!!! At least last weeks storm was warm weather, but today - it is about MINUS 21 Celsius with wind chill. I just took the dog out and the wind was so cold and it was shooting hard little pellets of snow at me...it was brutal! Needless to say, we didnt' stay out too long!!! Brick was happier than a pig in shit, but it was MISERABLE!!! Here are a couple pics I snapped quickly before I became a permanent frozen fixture on our street!!! LOL Gives me a great excuse to craft!!!! I have to clean up from my workshop last night - 2 brave souls showed up!!! But we did manage to make a mess and have fun!!!! :-)

Swedish Tilda

This is Swedish Tilda - I love her piggies!!! The actual Tilda piece was an ATC for an ATC contest - blue and yellow, so I turned it into a card. The base is Night of Navy and the DP is from a huge stack I got from Costco eons ago. I layered the flowers from my Spring Flower punch (SU) in the corner and used a bright yellow prima sprite in the bottom corner. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink set "Text Boxed". The card measurements are 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. I coloured Tilda with pencil crayons and gamsol (OMS) and added stickles to her wings.

Blog Candy!!

Ok, not mine, but Lim's!! Go check out her blog "The Voices in my head" to check out the great candy she is giving away! She just reached 2000 hits & I remember how excited I was when I reached 2000!!! Her blog is great, she is very talented!!! So, go check it out & GOOD LUCK!!!!
And congrats Lim!!! :D

These 3 cards were made for family birthdays recently & I forgot I had taken pictures of them!!
The first one is made with MFT's Punny Farm. The paper is from Flair Designs called Horse Words. The card base is chocolate chip and the next layer is Ruby Red (both SU). I sponged all the edges of everything with Chocolate Chip ink, watercoloured the horse and added a brown silk ribbon and a buckle from Hodgepodge Hardware (SU). I made this for my SIL's 50th birthday!
The princess card was made for my 3 year old niece who of course, is into "princesses". I was lucky I had some images from an image swap that I could use cuz I don't have any princess stamps except a few small ones from Target that my good friend Tracy sent me!!! The DP is from Michael's - not sure of the company name but it has glittery flowers all over it - very pretty!!! I glittered up the crown, wand and her dress and added purple rhinestone brads to the sentiment ovals.
The last card I made for a friends birthday. I used Papertrey Ink's set called Text Boxed. I used Night of Navy and So Saffron paper. The inside of the flower is stamped and watercoloured into the leaves. I stamped the sentiment with white colorbox ink. The white ribbon is from Michaels too.

Chocolate and Tilda....can it get any better??? LOL

I was on a mission of some sort - I don't even remember what my initial intention was with this card, but this wasn't it!!! I started out with True Thyme, added Cranberry Crisp and Buckaroo Blue which are old SU In Color colours, but have such a cool vintage look when they are together. I just happened to have some Primas in the same colours (well, pretty dang close!!); and coincidently, I already had this Tilda coloured using a similar colour scheme....so by complete and utter fluke, this is what I came up with! Her chocolate heart is embossed with Gel-a-Tins Chocolate Bliss scented embossing powder -YUMMMMM!!!! The sentiment & the chocolate chips are from a Sweet n' Sassy set called Chocoholic (very yummy set!!). I used my Cuttlebug and Swiss dots folder on the Cranberry piece top and bottom.

Image holder cards

I got this idea from Lilian & Sue, 2 amazing ladies from Tilda & Friends yahoo group. I believe Lilian said she got the idea from Katharina's blog - so she should get credit for this project too!!! They both sent me some images in a similar card like this. So, I decided to make my own!! The dimensions are 10 x 7 3/4; score at 5" in the middle and 2 1/2 from the bottom. I cut the middle of the flap and both sides at an angle then adhered them to the edge of the card. These make great pockets to hold images that you send to people!!! I used my SU slit punch to make the holes for the ribbon. The plaid paper is from a big stack I got years ago from Costco. I used Dala Tilda & coloured her using pencil crayons and gamsol (OMS). I drew the "wall" she is sitting on.
Use the ribbon to tie it closed and VOILA!!! It was EASY!!!
