How exciting!!!

My sister, who is a teacher, just got accepted to do a Teacher Exchange in Australia for next year. So, her hubby, her 3 kids and her are packing up and going to Queensland for a year in Dec. The teacher she is replacing there, comes here and lives in her home and teaches her class. I am thrilled for them all, but I will miss them terribly!! I HOPE to be able to go visit in July of next year, as it is really the only time I can take 2-3 weeks off. I HOPE I can save enough $$ to make it, it is a GREAT opportunity - once in a lifetime!!!! I know it is winter in Australia, but it is still WARMER than our winter here!!! Anyone from Queensland that can tell me what the weather is REALLY like in July and August??? Maybe tell me 4 or 5 things you HAVE to see when in Australia?!?!?!

Anyway, I made this card for them, and I will give it to them before they go with their home made journals I will be making (have the journals, just have to cover them and personalize them). I will post them when they are done too!!!

I used Safari Tilda (you can get her at Simon Says Stamp) and some papers that I got in a card kit swap. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Simon Says....Photo Inspiration

Photobucket

This week at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog our challenge for you is to use this photo to inspire your creation! I don't know about you, but that cocktail looks mighty YUMMMMMMYYY!!!!!! I took my inspiration from the colour, the umbrella and the "drink" theme and found the PERFECT stamp to use!!!!

I used a House Mouse stamp that I have had for a long time, which I bought at Simon Says Stamp! I think I bought ALL of my House Mouse stamps there...they have SUCH a great selection!! I coloured this with Copics and added Crystal Lacquer to the glasses - it looks more real in person!!!! I coloured the grass behind the mice with chalks. The DP was from my stash, very cute seashell paper - but unfortunately, this was the last piece...sniff sniff!!!! LOL Does anyone else find a little piece of their heart hurts when you use the LAST piece of a really great pack or piece of paper?? LOL

I hope you will join us this week! If you do, you can win THIS:

AND, if you come back on Friday, you can enter to win MORE goodies with my Fabulous Friday Freebie!!! Can't wait to see your creations!!!!

Here is my news:

I have rejoined the Squigglefly Design Team!! Some of you may remember I was on the original DT when Squigglefly first opened up....it was such an honour to be part of it then and to see how much they have grown over the year or so. I am SO proud of them all!!!! Here is a card I made using BCA Dog (Breast Cancer Awareness) from Squigglefly. The challenge this week is ANYTHING GOES, so come join us!!!

You can join us at these places, pick one, or pick them all!!! Lots of fun and freebies all the time, come check it out!!!!

Squigglefly group on PCP

Squigglefly group on SNR

Squigglefly Yahoo Group

AND, you can shop for your digi images here:

Squigglefly store

And something else REALLY cool about Squigglefly is the rewards program. It is a simple thing you sign up for and it tracks how much you spend at Squigglefly. For every $15.00 you spend you can pick a free image - there are no restrictions on the free image you choose either - you can even pick sets! You can let your points build up until you're ready to use them. Also, if you join the rewards program in the middle of the month and you've already bought images during the month - just write Squigglefly and let them know and they will credit what you spent in the same month toward your rewards! Another little thing you might not know - if your computer crashes and you haven't backed up your images - contact Squigglefly and they will look up your purchases and send your download links to you again!

Soooooo, stay tuned for more images from Squigglefly - from MOI!!!!! Their challenges run on Mondays, so be sure to stop by!!!!
