Roses on Paper/Belles & Whistles Challenge/Mojo Monday contest

There are 2 posts today so please scroll down to see the other!
Thanks!

I just discovered The Roses on Paper & Belles & Whistles Combined Challenge blog last week, and decided to participate in their 22nd challenge (where have I been???) It was to use a sketch from another challenge blog (I used Mojo Monday week 107) and to use orange, brown and green. I didn't want to make another Halloween card, so I decided to use a "shade" of orange, green and the brown is in Tilda's hair (I know I'm stretching it there!!!)

I am also using this card as an entry to the Mojo Monday contest and for the Guest DT spot at ROP/BnW blog!!! If you want more info about the Guest DT position, head to the blog for more info. HERE is the link!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!! Take care & have a great weekend!!! I am fighting a head cold so will spend lots of time indoors sipping tea & relaxing by the TV. Which in turn, gives me lots of time to colour images!!! Yeahhhhh!!!!

Squigglefly Challenge - pink & blue

This week at the Squigglefly Blog, the challenge is to make a card using pink and blue! The prize this time around is 2 new images yet to be released (can't wait!!!) - the release date is Oct. 17 so if you are a fan of Squigglefly, make sure you head over there next Sat. to see the new releases!!!! Here is my card for the challenge. I used another Shy Bear image - I just cannot resist these guys, they are SO cute and SO fun to colour!!!!

I am pretty proud of myself - I am attempting and finishing about 2 challenges a week - LOL - I know for some of you Challenge Junkies that is minor, but for me, that's pretty good!!! With all of my other DT stuff to do, real life stuff and trying to catch up on blogs - it seems a daunting task some days!!!! But I truly LOVE doing challenges so I hope to participate more and more!!! Maybe next week I can aim for 3!!!!

Thanks for stopping by on a Saturday....I appreciate the time & your comments!!! Enjoy the weekend!!

Fabulous Friday Freebie #11

The winner of JUNGLE EDWIN from last week is.......... GILA
Congratulations Gila!!!! Your perseverance paid off!!! You have been such a faithful participant in my challenges and the Simon Says Stamp challenges!!!! Thank you for your participation!!! Please email me your address so I can get your prize out to you!!!!! ENJOY your new stamp!!!!!

And now, for this weeks FREEBIE.......... a bottle of JUNEBERRY WINE GLIMMER MIST!!!!

I am ADDICTED to Glimmer Mist!!!! I used it on this chipboard dress that I got at a small scrapbooking store 2 summers ago (it sat in my tub of "alterables" till now) so I finally decided to do something with it. I misted the whole thing, inside and out - it turned out a bit blotchy but I kind like the effect it had. I sprayed the accessory parts with SNOW ANGEL GLIMMER MIST. The little hanger I got at the same store - isn't it cute??

The same day I did this, I took a bunch of Grungeboard shapes (also available at Simon Says Stamp) and chipboard ribbon slides and shapes and GLIMMERED them up!!!! It is so fun, and you can create so many neat effects by mixing and matching the colours!!!!

So, if you want to win that bottle of Juneberry Wine Glimmer Mist, just make sure you are a follower of the Simon Says (SSS) Challenge blog, join us in this week's challenge (which is HALLOWEEN ) and leave me a comment here with a link to your card for the SSS challenge. That's it, that's all!!!!

Squigglefly Colour Challenge on SNR

I was finally able to join a Squigglefly colour challenge over on SNR Card Universe - yahoooo!!!! I'm so proud of myself! The challenge was two-fold : to use shades of yellow and to have something POPPED out of your card.
I made TWO....wheeeee!!!! The first card truly followed the challenge, but I think I might have cheated a bit on the second one!
I used a new Shy Bears image that is available from Squigglefly - they are soooo cute, I am SO in love with them!!!! I should have bought them ALL!!!! I popped out the bear, his hat, some leaves and the apples, and there is DEFINATELY yellow on this card!! LOL I used Crushed Curry paper and ribbon from SU - and a prima flower that matched it perfectly!!! The star paper is from a Heidi Grace Halloween set but it worked!!!!

Here is proof that it REALLY is popped out. I coloured and cut out 2 bears and used SU dimensionals to pop them up! The hat is popped up one level higher with a thicker dimensional I got at the Dollarama!

Here is the second card I made - I didn't pop anything out on dimensionals, but I made some things "dimensional"...LOL..does that count??? The mashed potatoes are Liquid Applique, so they are puffy and sticking up....I added crystal effects to the apples, peas and gravy, as well as the salt & pepper shakers.....that should count too eh?? LOL I really think this card needs a sentiment in the bottom right corner before I send it off - what do you think?
Anyway, thanks for "popping" in to say hi!!!! Have a great week!!!

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge

This week's challenge is "FOR YOU" - this is an EASY one so I would LOVE to see more people over there joining in!!!! Now that I am on the Design Team, you will be seeing these challenges every Monday - so I hope you will head over there and support our tiny little challenge blog so it can GROW into something big and wonderful!!!!!
Here is my card:
I used Chelsea, a digi image available at the Incy Wincy Designs shop. I shrunk her down so she would fit in the kitchen scene from Alota Rubber Stamps. This is my third try at this card - I was NOT happy with the first 2, so I pulled them apart and ended up with this one! I am happy with it for the most part, although I feel it could be better! I coloured it all with Copics, added Crystal Effects on the clock, jar, pump, bowl and handles to give it some dimension. The picture is really blurry - sorry about that, not sure what happened this time!!!! OY!!!!

I would love it if you could join us over at INCY WINCY DESIGNS CHALLENGE BLOG for this week's challenge!!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!!

Time for some "BRICK" action

For those of you who don't know, Brick is my dog! He is a bit of a wild man, as you will see in these pictures! He was a rescue we got about 6 years ago and he has kept us on our toes since then. He has some "issues" that has caused many a grey hairs, but thankfully he is DANG CUTE cuz that has saved his hide more than a few times!!! LOL Who needs kids when your dog is as needy, if not more?!!??! LOL

I wanted to take a little crafting break and share with you some pictures of our swimming trip last weekend. Brick LOVES to swim, as you can see by the intensity in his face waiting for me to throw the stick. It was COLD this day but he didn't care one bit!!!

Here are a few "LAUNCH" pictures - the lake was deep so there was no "wading" in for him, it was JUMP full bore to get that stick (we had a ball first but he put a hole in it and it sank!) He must have jumped at least 6 feet out!!!

This one cracks me up....he looks like Superman!

Belly flop!!

I'm flying!!!

Our big swimmer!!

Here is a short video we took too. (hopefuly it works!!!)
