3 Tiered Diaper cake

Good morning everyone!!!! I wanted to share a DIAPER CAKE that I made for my cousin's baby shower this weekend.  I was kinda winging it, with a vague idea how to do it in my head, and this is what I came up with!!!  This is about 70 diapers, size 2 Huggies.  I rolled each individual diaper & secured it with an elastic, then tied a ribbon around each layer to hide the elastics and to act as holders for the little gifties!  I wanted to get all consumable things that new Mom's need, but added a toy, a sippy cup for when he is older and a teething ring (I think you can always use those right??)  But what do I know?? I don't have kids! LOL

So, what do you think? I think its really cool - a unique, practical gift! Tim thinks it's "gay" (his word, not mine!!!)  I hope the new Mommy likes it!!!!
Have a great weekend!

Simon Says...who has a SWEET TOOTH???

Photobucket

This week, our challenge for you is  SWEET TOOTH!!!!

(so anything to do with cookies, cakes, cupcakes, candy, chocolate, etc.!!!!)

BRING OUT the inner SWEET TOOTH in your creations!!!!!

ALSO, this week, the DT are showcasing
FABER-CASTELL products from the store!  LOTS of amazing products to play with, so go take a peek!!!!

Here is my card for this week:

I have used the  Hero Arts Cupcake stamp set for my main image and sentiment but the GREATEST part about this card is the background paper.  For that I used  Faber Castell Gelatos - blue & green.  I had never used these before, and had NO idea how to use them or what to do with them! They look like little lipstick tubes...so cute!  SO I found some You Tube videos and watched them, read some blogs and set off to work at something for this challenge!  A challenge it WAS!!!

Basically what I did was take the green & blue gelato sticks and rubbed them onto white cardstock. I spritzed some water on it, then used my finger to smear it around to mix the colours together.  I did this a few more times until I got the effect I liked. Once it dried, I spritzed it with Glimmer Mist (Pixie Dust) to give it a shimmer.  I WISH you could see it in real life, it is really pretty!!!!

IT was REALLY fun and really cool! I was sad that I only had 2 colours, but it was fun to play!  I immediately proceeded to Simon Says Stamp Superstore & ordered a BUNCH more Gelatos to play with!!!!!  Can't wait till they get here!!!!

Now...... head to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog to check out all the gorgeous creations from our FANTABULOUS Design Team!!!!

As usual Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $50 voucher to her FANTASTIC Simon Says Stamp Superstore!! For fabulous tutorials, inspiration and candy you should keep an eye on the Simon Says Stamp Blog too!!

AND

Faber-Castel will also be giving a lucky entrant a lovely Mixed Media Sampler set and a 4 pack of Gelato's !! :-)

Keep an eye on the All New Just In Pages there are sure to be lots of fab new goodies arriving right now !!

Cupcake Inspirations challenge entry.....

Hi everyone! This week the Cupcake Inspiration challenge blog has another yummy photo, so I thought I'd join in this week!

These are some CAS Christmas cards I made using these glittery plastic snowflakes.  I got them after Christmas for 33 cents for 4 of them (regular $6.99) - what a steal!  I wasn't sure what to do with them at the time but knew I HAD to have them! LOL

So, I took the "snowflake" shape as inspiration from this photo and went with a CAS card.  I made a whole set!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!! Have a great week!
