Some random crafty things.....

The first of the crafty things I made are these little paper purses. I made 2 and they sold FAST at my first craft fair. I copied the template from a purse that my sister received from one of her students last year. I just looked at it, got the measurements & went from there! They were fun to make but time consuming!! I'm happy I sold them both though!!!!

6 - 3x3 cards and envelopes and 6 tags inside

Here is the inside with the pockets that hold the cards & tags:

Here are the cards and tags for the green purse:

And the inside pockets:

Here is a set of 4 gift cards (3x3) I made to sell:

Another card using those CUTE CUTE CUTE Polar Bears from Angel's Landing:
My first attempt at a vintage card (I posted a better version last week!)

A Gorjuss Girls scrapling:

And a card using an Inky Impressions stamp (LiLi)

This card is an engagement card for my niece and her fiance. They are getting married in July!! Sooo excited for them!!!!

A "horsey" notebook for my little niece's friend for Christmas:

And that is all for today!!! I thought I'd put a few things in one post, so you wouldn't be bored!!! LOL Have a GREAT day!!!!

A couple birthday cards

I realized that I needed more "GUY" themed birthday cards, so decided to play around with a couple images I had already coloured.

This first card is a digi image from Incy Wincy Designs & the sentiment is from a TAC set. I had the balloon and hat punches from AGES ago from a PUNCH swap on SCS! The dog & doghouse are coloured with Koh-i-noor pencils and Baby oil gel!

This second card is a Dustin Pike digi image and the sentiment is made up on the computer. Inside it says "so we sent over the fire department". The dragon is coloured with Copics. Crystal effects are on the hat, hose, his buttons and the hydrant.

Thanks for stopping by! I really hope you had a good week - it's ALMOST the weekend!! Wheeeeeeee!!!!

The card base is a preprinted one I got in a box at Michael's a few years ago, so I am trying to use them up. The other paper is scraps of snowflake paper! Changito Shovel stamp is available at Simon Says Stamp Superstore, so if you LOVE him, go grab him before he's gone!!! Our blizzard

Hi everyone! On Friday, we had a HUGE snowstorm! It was unbelievable! The snow and the wind and the drifts......I wish I had pics of the drifts but I hunkered down at home where it was warm! I DID however, have to take Brick out, because he is NUTS if he doesn't get any exercise. This is the pathway between our fence and our garage - the drift was over the 6 foot fence!!!

This picture makes me giggle. The wind was so strong, it was lifting up Brick's ears, his face was covered in snow from chasing the Frisbee into the snowdrifts, and he had this HUGE grin on his face!!! He only lasted about 10 min. then he wanted to go in too, but I'm glad I was able to snap this picture! My fingers were frozen but it was worth it!!!!

Brick chasing the Frisbee - see the big drift behind him? That is SMALL compared to some around the city!!!

He loves his Frisbee, no matter how cold!!!!

Mean Mommy, throwing the Frisbee in the bigggggggg drift!!! LOL

And that's all.....just had to share a few pics of our nasty storm we had!!!! Enjoy the rest of the week!

Incy Wincy Designs - Challenge #21 - Christmas: SNOWFLAKES

This weeks challenge is SNOWFLAKES over at Incy Wincy Designs!!! How fun!!! I love SNOWFLAKES, especially those that aren't on the roads making them treacherous and slippery!!!! This weeks challenge is sponsored by June at Dezinaworld - very cool images!!! She was gracious to let the DT use one of her images called Snow Fur. This was SO out of my box, and I was so freaked out, but I just used a few blogging friends as inspiration and this is what I came up with! I was COVERED in ink from distressing....and I mean DISTRESSING EVERYTHING!!! LOL But I am quite pleased with how it turned out.....and it was fun and challenging to do something out of my "comfort zone"!!!

The papers are from a little paper pack I got at Wal Mart AGES ago, and the clear snowflakes and the die cut flourish I've had in my stash for ever!! The big snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch. See... I AM using up things I have!!!!! Yaaaa ME!!!! LOL

So, head to the Incy Wincy challenge blog and check out what the other Design Team members have made and Join US in this weeks challenge...snowflakes are EASY this time of the year!!!! There is also a great prize donated by June at Dezinaworld, a collage sheet of vintage images and sentiments!! GO CHECK IT OUT!!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a GREAT week!!!!

Corrosive Challenge - sketch

Here is the sketch we want you to use at The Corrosive Challenge blog this week. I really enjoyed using this sketch, it was simple, yet left a lot to work with! It works well with larger images and pretty paper!! Yahooo!!!!

And here is my card I made using this sketch:

It is a large card (5 1/2 x 8 1/2) because it is for my entire family to sign...and there is a lot of us!!! Every year for the last 13 years, my family has sponsored a residential home for recovering alcoholics. This home has 32 men who live there full time as they try to get jobs, education, etc. while at the same time, getting clean. Many of these men do not have families and might not otherwise get Christmas. The first year, we bought them a tree and decorations for the house, but each year after that, they each get a (LARGE) stocking FULL of things: magazines, socks, underwear, toothpaste, deoderant, chocolate, oranges, etc. The looks on their faces when we pull up with the stockings is priceless! It makes their day & they can't wait for next year. It really brings out the true meaning of Christmas for me and my family - and makes us thankful for what we have, and that we have each other (even though we don't always get along! LOL)

Anyway, on to the card: The paper & ribbon are from my scrap box. I wanted to make it masculine so I used blues and greens. The polar bear is from Angel's Landing and the sticker sentiment is from a Christmas pad I got at Michael's a couple years ago. The snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch & I just added rhinestones to finish them off!!

And that is it!!! LOL Thanks for stopping by!!! Have a great week!!!! Hopefully our BLIZZARD stops by tomorrow - I have to drive across the city for a meeting!!! EEK!!!!
