Some more cards - I've been busy

Well, when you are laid up at home for 5 days sick, and when it hurt to lay down, you had to sit up - and colour! I coloured a LOT of images last week, now I just have to find the time to make them into something! I love to colour though, so it helped pass the time. Here are a few of the cards I made with some of the images I coloured:

I received this Hanglar & Stanglar image from Annie - she sent me a bunch - I love these little guys! I WISH they were available to other countries besides Sweden & Norway!! BAHHH!!!! The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp set called Sending Sunshine - it is a really versatile sentiment set & I love the fonts! Go check it out!!!

Another Hanglar & Stanglar image I've had for awhile (can't remember who sent it to me!) The sentiment is from the same Simon Says Stamp set from above. The little heart button is from Michael's - so cute!!! This card is headed to NY to a VERY good friend of mine!!

And a Magnolia - this is Tilda in the Sea. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp set called With Deepest Sympathy - it has some nice sentiments for anytime too!

HOLY SNAPPIN'!!!!!

I was contacted by Team Squigglefly to be their FEATURED ARTIST for the month of MARCH!!! Can you say EXCITED?????????? ME? Seriously......the one who lost her mojo for nearly TWO WEEKS!!!!! LOL WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE


Anyway, I just discovered squigglefly.com not too long ago, via Holly (go check out her blog) and just love their images - they are so cute and whimsical & SO easy to colour!!! You download them, then adjust their size to whatever you want it to be! EASY as that!!! Seriously - I'm not very computer saavy but THAT I can do!!!! So anyway, PLEASE head over there and check out the little blurb and some of my cards I made using their digital images! I am HONOURED (yes, I spelled that with a U - that is how us Canucks spell it!) - truly honoured!!!! Thanks TEAM SQUIGGLEFLY!!! :0) You made my month!!!!

A couple birthday cards....

I made this card for Tim for his birthday on Sunday. I used a HANGLAR stamp that Annie sent me (thanks!) and a fish charm from Bella. The fishy stamps in the background are from Clear Dollar Stamps.

This card is for my sister, who loves waterskiing. I was given this image on SCS Wish RAK, but I added the bikini top to make it a "girl" moose! LOL The sentiment was made on the computer. I got the DP from All that Scraps & have NO idea what company made it....Flair something or other??? sorry!!!

This card uses the Clear Dollar Stamps critter & sentiment. The background is this paint I bought off of Ebay YEARS ago - called Luna Lights - it's really pearly and shiny. You squirt it onto glossy cardstock, then mush another sheet of CS to it, and you get these designs - kinda like in school when we did that, and turned them into butterflies!!!! LOL I added Fun Flock to the skunk and a couple felt flowers from SU. I was going to enter this into the Clear Dollar Stamps DT call, but decided I didn't really like it. No biggie - I need a lot of birthday cards!!!!

Whimsy Stamps DT call entry

Here I go again - another try out for a DT. This is for a company I JUST discovered - Whimsy Stamps, I'm not sure how it slipped by me, cuz it is RIGHT up my alley!!! They have a line of Whimsy Animals - can it get any better? Anyways, they need one more spot to fill their Whimsy Animals team - and who better than ME?? LOL (I can hope right?) We were to use multiple layers of cardstock and DP, and an embellishment of some sort, plus have an animal as the focal image. I don't have any Whimsy Stamps YET.....so I chose Turtle Cakes by Victoria Case. If you want to try out, they are taking entries until March 1, so hurry on over there! AND go check out their stamps, they are CUTTTEEEEEE!!!!!

YIPPPEEEE!!! I missed you, MOJO!!!!

I made this one in between coughing attacks - I have a chest infection & am home from work! I feel better and cough less when I sit up, so I thought I 'd make this card for a friends birthday coming up! I'm feeling a bit better, and more interested in cards now - good thing since I have about 8 birthday cards to make! EEK!!

I made another card with a digital image from CC Designs Angel collection - they are so cute too!!! I used Wild Wasabi and some DP from my scraps bin. Here is a picture of the inside too:

Whiff of Joy Design Team Call

Ok, here I go again....an entry for another DT call. This one is for a 2 month stint on Whiff of Joy's DT. If you are interested you should hurry on over there - it ends March 5!

I used an image someone sent me of Melinda - I don't own this stamp but it is on my wish list! I have a few WOJ stamps & I just got the Spring Kit in the mail last week. I haven't even inked them up yet cuz I don't have any EZ Mount (it's on its way!)

I used Perfect Plum & Rose Red CS, and Basic Grey "euphoria" DP. This card is 5x5.

It's BACK!!!

(for the most part) I sat down yesterday to make a card for my SBS4 home page challenge and I think, because I had a focus I was able to create something half decent. The rules were it had to have teal or turquoise and chocolate chip or dark brown, and some bling. Because our SBS4 group has been going strong for well over a year, I wanted the sentiment to reflect all of us and our friendship that we have built over the year!
So, considering my mojo is only half way back, this is what I came up with for my entry. I used the Simon Says Stamp set called Cat & Dog are Best of Friends; SU chocolate chip CS and Tempting Turquoise DP.

I made another card for my SIL's birthday. I used PATCH, a digital image from Victoria Case that is absolutely adorable! I made it a 5 1/2" square card because I printed him out a little big, and the card has to big enough for 21 people to sign!! We have a big family! I used SU chocolate chip, Au chocolate DP, and some gold CS that I had in my stash. The little tag was part of some blog candy that I won awhile ago!
