Doodle Dragon challenge

This card is for the Doodle Dragon Studios challenge - I finally made it on time, and remembered to post!! Whhheeee hoooo!!! The challenge over there is WINTER, so I used the weekly freebie and made this card. The colours are unconventional, but I kinda like them together. I added 3D paint to the snow, but it is hard to see the outline of it. This poor bird looks cold!!! I coloured him with Copics and used my new Lacy Nestabilities! I tried to keep it simple, as it is travelling quite a distance, and need to keep it as flat as possible!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!!!

Kenny K challenge...

This week, the Kenny K challenge is LOVE! I just purchased this digi called HUG, and for some reason it just shouted out to me....Black & White movie theme.

So, I set out on a task that was SO out of my box, but I've seen it done and loved the effect so thought, what the heck?!?! I coloured the image using my Copics (C0-C10) and I quite like the way it turned out!! Yeahhh me!!! I found some scraps of black and grey papers and made a funky layout, then set out to find the perfect sentiment.

I searched for HOURS looking for the perfect sentiment/movie quote..but nothing jumped out at me! So, I settled for this quote, but if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears (and this one is on with removable tape so it's ALL good!!)!!!! I added the Tim Holtz filmstrip ribbon too, to add the final touch of "vintage movie".

So? What do you think?? Any suggestions for a different sentiment?? I don't watch a lot of old black & white movies, so I'm really stumped!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a GREAT weekend!!!

Two challenges in one....

Now that I got my computer back, and some new photo editing software (paint.net and Picasa 3), I can finally post some challenge cards! This card uses an image from Di's Digi Downloads. I am so in love with her cute little animals!!! LOVE THEM!!! I used Rose Red CS and some DP from the MS mat pack I bought (Valentines one). The sentiment is from a Popcorn Bear set and the pearls are from Kaiser Craft, all available at Simon Says Stamp.

I am entering this card into TWO challenges - yeahhh me!!!!! LOL The first is DO IT WITH DIGIS - their challenge is New Beginnings (hence the "Mr. & Mrs"). The second is PAPER SUNDAES - their challenge is to use circles (sentiment, pearls) - I hope that is enough circles to qualify!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!! I have my computer back - all safe and sound! Ahhhhh! Life is good!!! LOL
Have a great weekend!!!

Designed2Delight...love ewe!

Wow, I didn't think I'd make this one!!! With both our computers down, a borrowed laptop, no photo editing software, out with the Norwalk Virus for 3 days, and camera issues.....I'm amazed I got it done!!! Unfortunately, the photo of this card suffered. I need to find some good FREE photo editing software online...anyone know of a good one????

Anyway, this card is for Designed2Delights weekly challenge! This weeks freebie is called Love Ewe and is totally adorable!! I coloured the grass & sky with chalks and the rest with copics. The paper is from a Martha Stewart pack I just got a couple weeks ago. This card is 9x4.

Thanks for stopping by! Hopefully things start looking up - kind of a rough start to the new year with computer issues, but should have them resolved SOON!!!

Karen's Doodles Challenge - monochromatic

Whoa, I don't know what happened to my photo booth this week..but all my pics were yellowy....I didn't change any setting son the camera or anything! Must be the weather! Sorry about that!!

Anyway, over at Karen's Doodles challenge blog, I have set the challenge this week to make a MONOCHROMATIC creation. So, use different shades of one colour. I decided to use pink, since Valentine's Day is right around the corner. I used BEAVER VALENTINE for my card this week! The papers are from a DCWV set I've had for a couple years!

Head over to the challenge blog and check out the rest of the DTs monochromatic creations! I hope you will join us this week!!!
