Simon Says.....Photo inspiration challenge

This weeks challenge is a photo inspiration of a gorgeous Autumn scene! I do love Autumn - the smells, the crisp air, the holidays (I love Thanksgiving!), the gorgeous colours, and the sounds (I love crunching leaves)! What I DON'T like about Autumn is that Winter is right behind it!! UGH!!! And, well, you know.....I HATE Winter!!! LOL Anyway, the
challenge this week is based on the photo - so head to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog to check it out & to see all the beautiful creations from the Design Team! Here is my card:

I used 3 different Magnolia stamps - the Winter tree, the tree stump and Native American Tilda. The Winter tree, sky and grass are done with chalks (my new Pebbles Inc. chalks) The paper is Really Rust (SU) and the DP is stuff I've had forever in my scrapbooking stuff. Tilda & the tree stump are coloured with Copics.

As always, you can win this if you join us this week!!!! How awesome!!!

And, remember to come back on Friday after you've entered the Simon challenge to enter to win my Friday Freebie - the prizes are endless!! Check out the other DT blogs too, they all have blog candy too!!! YUMMMMM!!!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will join us!

Kenny K challenge

This weeks challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge, they have a great sketch for us to use. I had some "me" time on Sunday, so thought I would join in, since I've missed the last 2 weeks of challenges!! I used ROCK CHICK from the Glam Gang. I used purple and black - a colour combo I haven't used in a long time - if ever! I kinda like it!!! I kinda veered from the sketch a little bit so I hope it still qualifies!!! One day I might win this challenge!! LOL Ahhh, even if I don't win, it is still fun to participate!!!!
Thanks for popping by! Have a great day!!

Karen's Doodles challenge this week is to use SEVEN of something!! I used 7 leaves to go with my Autumn themed card. I used Scarecrow Girl and Cornstalk & Crow images. You can get them HERE. I used my Forest Branches CB folder for the bottom (although it is hard to see!) and some orange and green ribbon that I had in my scrap ribbon box. Inside it says "Autumn Wishes"

Designed to Delight challenge

This week at Designed2Delight, Faith gave us an incredible image with sentiments to use as our freebie this week!! WOW!!! So generous! I loved working with this image called Peace & Comfort, it was awesome to colour, and flowers always make great sympathy cards!
The CS I used is Tempting Turquoise (SU) and the DP is stuff I had in my scraps bin - so not sure where it came from!!! The yellow sheer ribbon is from Stamping Bella and the pearls are from the Dollar Giant store!
I am also entering it into the Double Delight Challenge, which is to use sponging or distressing, which I have done, on the inside and outside!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!! Have a great week!! I can't believe it is Sunday already! YIKES!!!

The Corrosive Challenge Blog - Masking

The Corrosive Challenge Blog is challenging you to use the Masking technique for this weeks challenge!!! I decided to do a masked "frame" on a one layer card. I haven't done one of these in a really long time, and thought I'd try my hand at it again!

First I put a post it note in the center like here:

Then I put post its all around the center one, and then removed the center post it.

I stamped the image in the center, like so:

Then I forgot to take pictures of the other steps (LOL) Sorry!!! But then I removed the outside post its, and put the one back in the center over the flower. Then I took 2 different pink pigment inks (Pink Passion and Pretty in Pink) and sponged the outside frame.

When I removed the middle post it, I was left with this. I added some chalks to the flower petals, center & stem and that was it!!! Easy Peasy!!! I added some pink ribbon and a sentiment at the bottom and there you have it!!! A ONE LAYER masked card! The flower is from Hero Arts - called Engraved Daisy and I got it at Simon Says Stamp!!!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will join us this week for this fun challenge!!!
