Vintage? Shabby Chic? Grunge??

Not sure what to call these....but I made them in "Tim Holtz" style.......I hope you like them! They were really fun and MESSY!!! I used all of my friends things (except the manila tag & the ribbon/lace!) - the stamps and die cuts are all TH, I coloured the ribbon and lace with my TH Distress markers and inked and inked and layered and inked some more! LOL   When I was done, I spritzed them with this pearly stuff she had too!

Christmas Vintage Tags

A couple weeks ago I went to a scrapbooking retreat in the mountains.  I still wasn't feeling well, so my mojo was also MIA! My friend got me started on a tag using some of her Tim Holtz stamps (blueprints) and her Distress inks.  AND  I went CRAZY! They were so fun...messy, but FUN!!!! 

I used manila tags that I bought AGES ago thinking I could keep up with the Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas, but I couldn't! Vintage is SO out of my comfort zone, it freaks me out...literally freaks me out!!!! LOL   I stamped the image on the tag, then used distress inks (2 or 3 colours) to smudge around the image.  Then I stamped on the background image (either snowflakes or leaves), distressed the edges with my TH distresser tool, and then inked them.  I coloured the images and the ribbon with my TH distress inks.  THEN I spritzed them with some pearly spray that my friend had (I told you - I used EVERYTHING of hers except the tags! LOL)  These look sooooo much nicer in person, they are shimmery!  VERY cool!!!!
