Designed2Delight challenge....and a freebie

This weeks freebie from Designed2Delight Digital stamps is a GREAT image...isn't it CUTE???

It is called Puppy Love. I coloured the dogs with Copics then cut the image out & distressed the edges. I'm not crazy about the layout but the dogs are the focal point so that is all that matters!!! Welder Bear

My nephew just finished his schooling for his 4th year Journeyman welder (he is only 20!) so I wanted to make him a card to congratulate him. I had to do some quick thinking as I don't own any "welding" stamps & don't know anyone who does, so I went to trusty ol' GOOGLE!!! I searched for colouring pictures of welders and would you believe it? I found a few! I was so happy!!! I was thrilled to find 5 or 6 pages of these bears, all in different uniforms for different jobs or careers. So if you are looking for anything out of the ordinary, Google images is a life saver!!! You may have to sift through a few pages but you will probably find what you are looking for!!!! Anyway, here is the card I came up with:

The silver plate piece is actual a cuttlebug folder on silver paper, which is totally cool for guy cards! I used some screw brads in the corners and some crystal lacquer on his helmet. The flame is orange stickles over top red Copic marker and I added the Stardust Sakura gel pen to the tool thingy (not sure what it is called, I'm sure he will kill me when he hears I called it a thingy!!!)

Simon Says.......PUNCH IT OUT!!!!

This weeks challenge at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog is to use PUNCHES on your creation. I wasn't feeling very creative when I made this first card, and only used my scallop circle & circle punches. Sorry!!! This card uses the Simon Says Stamp exclusive set called Deer with Forest Family. I wanted to create a little scene so I ripped some green paper for the hills, popped out the mushroom and added the skunk and porcupine.

So, I felt bad for not putting 100% effort into that card above, so I made another one....this one I am much happier with!!! I used a puzzle punch and some flower punches! I punched a bunch of puzzle pieces out of scrap paper and glued them to the background sheet. I then stamped the love note image (Magnolia) & popped out Tilda. The sentiment is printed on the computer then punched out with the puzzle punch. I hope you like this one better!!!

Colour Me Wonderful!

That is your challenge this week at Incy Wincy Designs!!! USE YOUR FAVOURITE COLOURING MEDIUM - whether it be copics, promarkers, tombow, prisma crayons, watercolour or computer generated!! My favourite medium is my KOH-I-NOOR woodless pencil crayons and Baby oil gel! The baby oil gel works just like Gamsol or OMS & smells WAYYY nicer!!!!!

This week's challenge is sponsored by Stitchy Stamps - the prize is 3 digi images of your choice!! And let me tell you, I had a HARD time choosing 1 to use, so I had to place an order!!! LOL This image is called Vintage Vamp - I just love her!!! And I love how this card turned out - completely NOT how I originally intended it to be, but I love it!!!! The black card base is a leftover from my wedding invitations FIVE years ago...LOL...I bought WAY too many!!! The red paper with the silver dots on it was a gift from my friend LOLS (HI!!) - it is from PaperMania which is totally amazing handmade paper! The silver metal dots I got at JoAnns when I was in Montana last Easter!!

The Corrosive Challenge blog - Use DIGI stamps

This weeks challenge at The Corrosive Challenges blog is to use a DIGI stamp! Since this month we are being sponsored by Stretch N Bubbles, the DT were given a few digi images to use for this challenge. I chose Herman the monster...isn't he GREAT??? There isn't anything too fancy about this card, the sketch was taken from my "binder" of sketch ideas that I print off when I like one and the papers are from Basic Grey. I coloured him with Copics and added some buttons. Inside it says "I hope you have a monstrously great birthday" - a sentiment from a TAC set.
