Creations by Penny - Spring collection

Penny has come out with a bunch of new digis, and they are PERFECT for Spring and Summer!!! Head HERE to check them all out!!!!

This image is perfect for a "guy" card! I used grey Liquid Applique for the smoke - it was an afterthought and I'm so glad it worked out, because the card was done, coloured, and put together when I thought "Oh, lets see if it works!!" LOL THANK GOODNESS it looks OK!!!!

This is a 2-5-7-10 box (got instructions at SCS) which is really easy - a few scores, a few cuts and voila, a really cute little treat box!!! The fruit brads I got a couple summers ago and have been "hoarding" for the perfect project...and I think this is it!!!!

I thought these flowers would make a great Sympathy card - and I'm always being asked to make them, so thought if I make and store some, they will be handy if need be (unfortunate, but it happens!!!) The swirls are a EK Success punch and the gems I got from Simon Says Stamp. The ribbon is from my stash, probably from Michael's! All images are coloured with Copics!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will head over to see what Penny has for you, you won't be disappointed!!!! AND VERY reasonably priced...so you can't go wrong in buying several!!!!! HAVE fun!!!!

Karen's Doodles Photo inspiration challenge #2

I am entering this card into the UK Challenge blog this week. The same photo is used for inspiration for all 4 blogs this week, so I decided to enter it there too!!! I used the same DP as my other card - Nana's Kids (DCWV) and the same ribbon, just a different image. I LOVE colouring Karen's images, they are so cute and so fun to colour!!!

So, here is the photo again, that we are to use for inspiration:

And here is my card:

The image is called Movie Date. You can either buy the boy, the girl, OR both together....which is really really cute!!! I of course had to have all 3, there is no way I could have 1 without the other!!! LOL She is coloured with Copics. The ticket stub is from a Tim Holtz set called "At the Movies" which I got at Simon Says Stamp!

Wish me luck again on this one!!!LOL I think they might get sick of seeing me!!!!
Have a great rest of the week!!!

Lols' Blog Candy

My good friend Lols is offering up this stamp for grabs on her blog Lorraine's Loft. If you don't already visit her blog, you really should! She is amazingly talented and super inspirational!!!! Soooooooo, if you like this stamp & want a chance to win it, head to her blog to check out the rules (they are pretty simple!!! If I can follow them, anyone can!!! LOL ) Good luck!!!!

Simon Says......Distressing (& Tim Holtz)

This weeks theme at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog is DISTRESSING!!!! The Design Team is showcasing Tim Holtz as well, because, well, he is the KING of DISTRESSING!!!! Truly a VERY talented man!!!

For this card I have used the Tim Holtz mini mask (Compass) on Creamy Caramel paper (SU). I have spritzed it with Sapphire blue Glimmer Mist. I distressed the edges of the papers with Walnut Distress ink. The "wheels" or "cogs" were in my chipboard stash so I sprayed them with Sapphire blue Glimmer mist as well to match! The twine just pulls it all together, I think & doesn't make it "girly"! LOL I got the mini mask and the glimmer mist at Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Go check it out..they have ALL THINGS TIM!!!! LOL

Inside it just says "Happy Birthday"...so a very masculine card for a guy birthday!

I really hope you will join us this week for our challenge!!! I KNOW how you ALL love to DISTRESS things!!!!! Can't wait to see what you create!!!!! AND don't forget, you can win a $25 shopping spree from Simon Says Stamp Superstore!!!! So, what are you waiting for?? Get DISTRESSING!!!!
(and have fun!)

Karen's Doodles Photo inspiration challenge

This week at Karen's Doodle Challenge blogs, they are all having a Photo inspiration challenge! I am entering this one to the United States Challenge blog. Here is the photo we were to use:

<-- I took my inspiration from the colours and the stripes. I also saw the darker pink strip on the carpet and decided to use ribbon that colour to set it off a bit.

Here is my card:

The card base is dark green (there is dark green in the bed) and the DP is from a big pack called Nana's Kids from DCWV, and it was the perfect colour and pattern for this photo.I coloured this image, called First Kiss, with Copics, added some little roses and some ribbon to finish it off! CUTE image eh?? I love this one!!!! It is one of the ones I won from the first challenge I entered...let's hope it brings me luck for this one too!!!

Thanks for stopping by! This is my 2nd post for the day so please scroll down to see my other post! THANKS!!!

Pet Sympathy cards

I was asked to make 5 pet sympathy cards for a lady who runs a pet loss group for Husky's. I was in the process of making them, when my sisters dog passed away, so I had to stop. I could NOT make them without crying! It was too hard! I FINALLY got them finished and uploaded to my Etsy store, so I can post them here now! Here are the 5 cards I made for them:

Thanks for looking!!!
