Bookmark for my niece

I am trying to use up my paper & ribbon scraps and extra images that I have kicking around already coloured and bookmarks are the perfect way to do that! I made this bookmark for my niece who is only 4 but she still likes to read. She can use it in her "princess" books which she loves!!

The image is one of the Swiss pixies from CC Designs at All that Scraps. I coloured her with Copics. Not sure the paper - it was in my scraps bin!! I do know the ribbon is pink gingham ribbon from SU (retired, I believe).

HONEY DO notepad

I made this notepad for the fridge - I'm always leaving notes and lists for Tim so I thought this would make it "nicer" LOL!! The image is from Dustin Pike and I coloured it with Copics. The little wrench charm is from Dollar Giant - heavy little sucker!!! I reinforced the back with THREE rare earth magnets (strongest little magnets EVER!) to hold up the pad on the fridge. There is nothing worse than a notepad that slides down the fridge!! LOL Kinda defeats the purpose!!! I got the notepads at Dollar Giant too, there were 3 to a pack for $1...gotta love that!!!

Simon Says.....anything BUT a card!

The challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog is to make ANYTHING BUT A CARD!!! I have been on an altered item/3D kick lately, making all sorts of things so this is perfect!!!!

Well, this challenge couldn't have come at a more perfect time!! Friends of ours just had a baby and I needed something for little Caleb. I decided to use the Simon Says Stamp exclusive set called "Zoo Animal Vacation" with my acetate box. I coloured all the animals with Copics and layered them on cardstock so they stood out a bit better. Inside the box are 8 baby face cloths. I am SURE every new mother can use those (right????) What do I know?? I've only had furry children & they DON'T need face cloths!!! LOL We are also giving them a gift certificate to Toys R Us so they can pick something out that they need for Caleb!

Tilda chasing butterflies

What a perfect name for that Magnolia Collection - Chasing Butterflies!! Here is a card I made a couple weeks ago for an activity I participate in on the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group. I used some funky paper from Doodlebug (similar to the paper I used on the ornament box yesterday, but different colours) that I got in a clearance bin. I cut out the butterflies and popped them out and stickled them all up. I coloured Tilda with my Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol.

Ornament box

I found this great tutorial on an ornament box so I thought I'd give it a try. I didn't make the ornament for inside, I just added some gum balls as it is a gift for a friends daughter! You can find the tutorial HERE

I used some funky paper from Doodlebug that I got in a clearance bin, Summer Sun & Tangerine Tango CS to make the box. I paper pieced Tilda's dress to match the DP and coloured the rest with Copics. I followed the tutorial & voila.......cute little gift box that showcases whatever is inside!!!!
