Karen's Doodles Challenge.....

This week at Karen's Doodles UK Challenge blog, the challenge is a recipe: 3 embellies, 2 papers and 1 image. My 3 embellies are Polar White flower soft, a button and the ribbon. The papers are from my newest stack of Basic Grey - Green at Heart! This image is from Karen's Doodles and is called "I didn't do it" - funny eh? The sentiment is computer generated.

I am sending this card to my niece & her fiancee because they just got a puppy. Carla, if you are reading this before you get the card....SURPRISE!!! LOL I know what she is going through because Minty is only 6 months old and she wasn't trained at all before we got her! One good thing about Minty is that she sleeps through the night!!!!

I am entering this into the challenge this week - I wasn't sure if I'd make it cuz I was on holidays last week, but I had some time today to play in my craft room!!! I am hoping to get the USA challenge done too but not so sure!!! I am sad that I missed the Blog hops though!! Next time!!!!

Wish me luck!!!!

Our trip to the West Coast

Tim & I took a little vacation to the West coast! We drove to BC & went and spent some time with his Dad on Vancouver Island. They live on 11 acres in the rain forest outside of Victoria, BC. BEAUTIFUL!!!! After that, we headed to Vancouver and spent some time there too! Here are a few pictures of our trip....nothing crafty today!!!!!

Baby Bear die cuts

I made this card using the Baby Bear die cuts from Die Cut Dreams. I was a little hesitant to buy some of these because I wasn't sure I would use them. But after I coloured up this one, with my chalks (just basically added chalk to the creases to give dimension) and used my white pen for highlights, I am glad I did! Isn't he ADORABLE??? I got enough die cut pieces for 5 boy bears and 5 girl bears and the quality of card stock is awesome - nice thick card stock! I also bought some dog and cat ones and some other bears! I couldn't resist, they are TOO cute!!!! So keep an eye out on my blog for more creations using those!!!!! The sentiment is from Papertrey Inks Bitty Baby Blessings set and the Congratulations ribbon I've had in my ribbon bin for a long time!!!

Tim & I just got home from a little vacation & had a great time! We came home a day early cuz we missed the dogs too much!!! LOL We left a rainy West Coast and came home to a raging BLIZZARD!!! LOVELY!!!! Power has been on and off all day!! UGH!!!!!

I will try to get caught up on my blog visiting......if the power holds out!!! Bear with me (no pun intended!! LOL)

Thanks for hanging out with me!!!

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge - Fancy Folds

The challenge this week at Incy Wincy Designs is FANCY FOLDS! There are sooo many COOL cards out there that aren't your typical A2 cards....I mean, I could name 20 right off the top of my head.......gate fold, tent fold, easel card, buckle, spring card, z fold, shadow box, ....ok, I'll stop!! So, this week, we'd like to see a fancy fold on your card or project!!

This weeks Artist Spotlight is on COWGIRL UP stamps from Stitchy Bear Stamps. REALLY pretty stamps there, so go check it out!!!! The Design team was fortunate to be able to work with MAGGIE, I just fell in love with her when I first saw her!!!!

My card is a Z fold card - very simple actually.....cut your cardstock (81/2 x 11) lengthwise (at 4 1/4) and fold that in half (still an A2 size card). Then, take the front and fold it back over itself to make the Z (ZED in Canada!!! LOL) Embellish as desired!!!! THe options are ENDLESS!!!

You can see a top view here:

And here is another view...of it sitting open.

I hope you will join us this week at Incy Wincy Designs!!!! Have a great week!!!!

Have a great week!!!

The Corrosive Challenge Blog - sketch

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!! I hope you have a great day with family, friends and good food!!!

Here is the sketch we would like you to use at The Corrosive Challenge blog this week. And here is my card:

I used an image from Karen's Doodles called "Puppy Love", and coloured him with Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol.
The DP is from my scraps of "too pretty to throw away" (LOL). The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp sentiment set that I LOVE!!!!! The little vintage flowers I got at Michael's awhile ago in the clearance section, would you believe? I snatched up all 4 packs!!! LOL NOW I am starting to use them!!! LOL

I hope you can join us this week!!!!
