Janet's Corrosive Challenge #15

Hi everyone! I was asked by Janet to be a Guest Designer for her challenge blog THE CORROSIVE CHALLENGE BLOG for June, July and August. I am honoured!! Janet & I go way back, and we seem to meet online in the oddest places! Janet is my upline for Stampin Up! and we have been in and hosted many swaps together on SCS. Challenge #1 for this week is to make a Father's Day/Guy card, so here is my entry for this challenge. I used a Squigglefly image called A Snack and A Nap. This guy reminds me of my dad laying on the couch. My Dad is 78 years old and still has a very full head of hair, although it is salt & peppery. His belly isn't quite that big but getting close!!! LOL (shhh, don't tell him I said that!!) Usually he has a plate of cheese or a bowl of ice cream in his lap!!! I am going to give this to my Dad for Father's Day.

Head on over to Janet's blog and check out her weekly challenges! They are so fun AND there are prizes!!!!

These 2 cards are using the Greeting Farm wedding set. They are sooo cute!!!! The top one is purple and silver as that is the wedding colours. I embossed the sentiment and added purple and silver ribbon and a little silver heart charm. I added a touch of sparkle with my AT You Spica pens.

The second one is red and silver cuz I didn't know the wedding colours for that one!!!! These are both coloured with copics. The sentiment is inside this card.

Simon Says....Tim Holtz

Our challenge this week at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog we are challenging you to use your Tim Holtz goodies to create a project! Tim Holtz is a good friend of Simon Says Stamp so as a tribute to The Great One himself, we are honouring him with a challenge. My card uses a variety of Tim Holtz products: I coloured Tilda with Distress Inks (walnut stain & tattered rose). The flourish is a Grungeboard shape, which I inked with Salmon alcohol ink, then distressed with Walnut Stain Distress ink. I used pink Distress Stickles on her flowers and a Philosophy Tag.

Thanks for looking!! Don't forget to head on over to the challenge blog and enter to win a $25 Gift Certificate to Simon Says Stamp (where you can buy MORE Tim Holtz goodies!!!!)

ETA: Over at the challenge blog, they have upped the ante......IF we get over 100 participants, Heidi is going to give away a SIGNED PIECE OF TIM HOLTZ's artwork......omg....to me that is worth more than a Picaso!!!! LMAO So seriously, you HAVE TO join the challenge this week - even if you use some distress ink or distress stickles...it counts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND, I heard through the grapevine that TIM himself is watching the Challenge Blog so get over there and get your card loaded to show off your FABULOUS talents to the GREAT ONE himself!!!! (Hi Tim!!!)

Digital Tuesday Challenge..WEDDINGS!!

This card is for the challenge at Digital Tuesday Challenges. The theme was weddings, and very fitting seeing as I have 3 to go to this year!!! EEK!!!! Here is the card I made using Wedding Bears from Dustin Pike. I coloured them with my Koh-i-noor pencils and gamsol. The wedding party colours are hunter green so I added a touch of green. I coloured the little flowers with my copic marker (G09)

Dare you to Digi challenge blog

Hey everyone!! Sorry I've been MIA - longggggggggg story!!!! All I can say, is I wish we still used horse and buggies to get around!!! LOL

I had a bit of time to create (& de-stress) last night so I participated in the challenge at Dare you to Digi The challenge was a sketch and it was really fun!! I tied it into Father's Day, seeing as I needed 3!!! I used Dustin Pikes image called BBQ Dragon. This one is for Tim's Step Father - he LOVES to BBQ and is happiest when all his kids are over and he can BBQ up a big roast or a schwack of ribs!!! YUMMMM!!!
The BBQ tools are also digi stamps from Dustin Pike. The sentiment is from a Stamp Of The Month from Clear dollar stamps (last year!)

Roses on Paper challenge card

Another challenge card I got to finish on the weekend is for Roses on Paper challenge blog! I haven't had the time lately to participate in challenges and I realized this weekend that I really miss that! I must find time to do challenges at least once a week!!! THAT is my goal!!!! The challenge this week is called ONE FOR THE BOYS! It had to be all boy - no flowers, no ribbon, no frills, no cute sayings (I hope my saying doesn't seem too cute!!!LOL) Anyways, here it is:

I used Skater Ian from The Greeting farm and DP from CTMH. I coloured Ian with Copics and used black brads for the skateboard wheels.
Thanks for popping by!!! Have a great night!!!
