Doodle Dragon challenge entry.....Hip to be SQUARE!

This weeks challenge at the Doodle Dragon challenge blog is HIP TO BE SQUARE!  So, here is my square card for this challenge!  The goop on her bow is actually glitter glue that hasn't dried .... oops!!! This card is a 4x4 made with scraps I had on my table!  I LOVE it when I can use up scraps to make a great card! I think this little turtle is TOO cute!!!!

The Paper Shelter Design Team call

So, after much deliberation, I decided to throw my hat in the ring for The Paper Shelter DT call..... I guess I'll never know unless I try!!!  They wanted the focus to be on our colouring so I printed off about 6 TPS images and started colouring.  I, of course, wasn't happy with any of them, so I started all over again!  OY!  I guess we ARE our worst critics eh?

I decided to use this image called Magic Bubble Bath  - I THINK it shows my shading and colouring abilities well (at least I hope it does!)  I have coloured it with Copics and added 3D Glittering Crystal paint to the bubbles to give it that sparkly bubble feel - it looks so much better in person!!!! I wanted to keep a fairly simple layout too, so the girls at The Paper Shelter could see my colouring!  It is also a reflection of my style I guess.....simple and clean, a few embellies but not overloaded!!!

I'm also attaching a coloured image that I was quite happy with, but didn't get a chance to make into a card (the deadline is creeping up quickly!!!) - so thought I'd share it too for fun!  The "snow" is 3D paint.

I have used Dandylion Pixie for my clean and simple card! I used Kraft & Soft Sky CS, matching Soft Sky ribbon, and THREE pearls.  I added stickles to the dandelion and to her wings for some bling!!!I am sending this to my friend who lives one province over who I haven't seen in forever!!!!

I used a Tiddly Inks image I've had for a long time, called BELLE.  Isn't she pretty??
 I have coloured her with Copics and added some small purple flowers which I've had for over 5 years....yikes! I added some rhinestones to the centers to match the sparkle of the DP!

Doodle Dragon Studios entry...

I am entering this card into the Dustin Pike challenge - which is primary colours.  I chose BLUE as my primary colour, so I hope this qualifies!!!  The DP is from an outdoor/camping paper pad I got from Michael's - it might be DCWV or Recollections, but I can't remember!  I have coloured with copics, added stickles to the fire to make it flickery .... and liquid applique to the marshmallows to make them puffy.

Challenge entry........

Hi everyone! I had some time to play and decided to enter this into a couple challenges:

1.  Celebrate the Occasion - Happy Birthday (this card is for my friends daughter who just turned ...you guessed it, 16!!!)

2. Jackson's Digital Expressions - Anything Goes with a colour twist (I used the reds in the photo as my inspiration)

3.  Oldie but a Goodie Challenge - Flower Power (the "old" item is the image, I've had for SEVERAL years & never used her... and my Cricut!)

4. Party Time Tuesdays - Let's get punchy (the flower punch & the cricut die cuts if those count!!!)

5. Addicted to Stamps Challenge - card for someone special (my friend's daughter)

Sooooooooooooo......that's all the challenges for this one!!!!

The CS is real red and the DP is Kraft by Basic Grey.  I cut out her name & age with my cricut (I really MUST use it more often!).  The flowers are EK Success punches that I adore & the red pearls are from Kaiser Craft.

I have used EFFIE TRINKET - I read all of the Hunger Games trilogy in about 2 weeks, and LOVED the movie.  The people in the Capitol had bright cloloured hair and clothing so I immediately thought of Effie when this challenge came up!   I added stickles to her flower and computer generated the sentiment.  The flowers are from my stash - I hand coloured the pink and yellow flowers to match the photo colours!!!

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge - PATRIOTISM
