The Corrosive Challenge Blog - HOME SWEET HOME

Hello everyone!! Happy Sunday!!!! Sorry I am so late for today's post....it has been a crazy week, moving my parents into their new Seniors home, decluttering, packing and cleaning their house of 37 years and getting it ready to sell. It was a lot of work, physically and mentally for all of us! Thank God there are 6 kids to help!!!!

It is VERY ironic that this weeks challenge at The Corrosive Challenge blog is

HOME SWEET HOME

because of my parents move. It was my childhood home and I have a lot of happy memories there. I lived there for about 12 years, so it is sad that it is going up for sale but at the same time I KNOW this is BEST for my parents, especially my Mom!!!! So, I have to suck up the emotions and be strong for them - it is harder for them I think!

Anyway, the challenge is a fun one with lots of room for interpretation and creativeness!! Can't wait to see what you come up with!!

Head to the challenge blog to check out the DT samples!!! We have a new sponsor this month, BUGABOO STAMPS, and new prizes, so head over there to check it out!!!!

I have used a stamp from Magnolia - but I cut the 3 houses out individually & overlapped them. I coloured it with Copics and added crystal lacquer to the windows. The CS is Sage Shadow and the DP is Nook & Pantry from Basic Grey. I added some flowers and a button from my stash. The sentiment was made on my computer!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will join us this week at The Corrosive Challenge blog!!!

Chris, great card. I like the soft colors and this BG is one of my favorite. I am glad that the move is done- it sounds like a lot of work. I´m sure your parents will like the card !
