slow & steady wins the race...MAYBE!!!

A few more Christmas cards done - another zillion and a half left to go!!! LOL I stamped a whole whack of Tilda's and a bunch of backgrounds, so I could sit in front of the TV with Tim and colour. Here are a few of the ones I've actually put together! All are coloured with copic markers - still practicing!!! These cards are 6 1/2 x 5 - I found them in my stash of Christmas stuff, they were in a package from Michael's with matching envelopes. They are a nice size for scene cards & I thought I should use them up first!! The DP is stuff from my scrap stash, and I used a LOT of stickles....what says Christmas better than stickles?!?!?! tee hee
The Christmas door background is from The Stampin' Place. They have some really great background stamps that work really well with my billion Magnolias!!!
This stone gate is from Alota Rubberstamps. I added liquid pearls to the gate and the ground to make it look like snow.
Hopefully I can get a few more cards done this week, and have another post for you soon!! In the meantime, enjoy the weather (whatever it may be wherever you are) and have a GREAT week!!!!

A Chilly Walk!!

On Tuesday, Tim, Brick & I went for a walk along the canal that runs through the south part of Calgary. It had been pretty much drained out for the winter, but it is still a really nice walk. Brick LOVES it!!!! Here is a pic of me and Brick that Tim took with his phone.

I got my HUGE order of High Hopes stamps yesterday so I was busy sorting them and smelling them, and didn't get any cards made!!! LOL Don't you just LOVE the smell of fresh rubbah???? Ok, I know I'm weird!!!! LOL Hoping to create tonight - if this cold doesn't send me to bed early!!! GRRRRR!!!!!! The joys of being a teacher - you get every germ that walks through the doors!!!!

WOW, where does time go???

Ok, I know it's been awhile since I posted anything crafty, but I HAVE been busy!! I had a craft sale last weekend so prior to that I was so busy getting stuff made and ready for that, I forgot to take pictures! I will try to do that this weekend!! NOW, I'm trying to get my card kits ready for my Stamp-a-Stack on Nov. 16. I promise I will be back to regular blogging as soon as that is done, and report cards! Gotta love this time of year!!!!

I'm also dealing with some diet/food issues. As some of you know, I have a lot of food allergies to begin with, but now my Dr. said I need to stay away from flour and dairy! Sigh! I have to figure out what I can eat, and still try to lose weight! I am down 20 lbs. since August, and want to keep going. I hope I can manage this on my own. The first 20 lbs. came off with the help of Jenny Craig, which I can no longer do because of the flour and dairy issue! ARGHHHHH!!!!! Anyways, if anyone has any wheat free recipes they care to share, I'd love some!!!! My sister has to eat gluten free so she's been a big help too!

Well, I better run!!! Will post soon!!! Oh, and KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED FOR MORE BLOG CANDY IN 24 DAYS!!! IT'S MY BLOGAVERSARY!!!!

I'm BAAAACKKKK!!!

Hi everyone!!! We made it home late last night, safe and sound, with all 4 bags in tact!! Wheeee!!!! We had a great time, lots of fun and things to see - 4 days is NOT enough!!! Here are a few pics for your viewing enjoyment!!! OH HEY - I bought a Xyron machine...not sure how I lived without it!!! WAYYY cheaper in the USA!!! That was all the crafty shopping I did - we spent more time looking for shoes for Tim (he bought 4 pairs; I bought 5!!) LOLHere is me at the airport waiting for our ride!!

This is Tim & I at his sister's wedding - the reason we went to VEGAS!!!

The waterslide that goes THROUGH the shark tank at The Golden Nugget. It was sooo cool!!!

Me losing all my money - damn blinky lights and bleeping - soooo addicting!!! Actually, we didn't spend too much time or money gambling - too much to see, too much shopping to be done!!!

The HUGE light show on Fremont Ave. This one was about the alien arrival - it was SOOOO freakin' cool!!!! This screen was above the street - probably about 6 or 7 blocks long. SO neat!!
Here we are on Fremont Ave. hanging out with all the kooky people down there!! I guess that's what you get when you can legally drink on the streets 24-7!!!

The desert - this was on our way out to Primm to hit the outlet mall! Such cool landscape, sooo different from Canada. It was barren desert, then these "hills" the locals call mountains - I had to laugh! FAR cry from the Rocky Mountains!! BUT it was sooo gorgeous!!
Tim in HEAVEN!!!! This store was HUGE!!!! Tim is a BIG fisherman, so needless to say, when he saw this store, we HAD to stop! It was really neat inside - fish tanks, duck pond, waterfalls, shooting range, and TONS of stuff to buy!

This is me in front of the OCC (Orange County Choppers) bike that they made for The Bass Pro Shop. It's hard to see all the details but this bike was amazing. If anyone has ever watched the show you will know what I mean! AMAZING craftsmanship!!!

Here I am in front of MESA GRILL - one of Bobby Flay's restaurants in Vegas! We went for Brunch on Sunday - it was SO good!!!!

Here is the whole fam at Mesa Grill! (minus the bride and groom of course!)

Me and David "hangin out" at Caesar's Palace! (pun intended!)

Guess who was playing at the Flamingo????

Paris at night!
FAO Schwartz toy store...OMG!!! That is all I can say!!! OMG!!!!

No "one-legged" men!

Tim and I at Hoover Dam.

Hoover Dam again!
