Starting on my list of Things to Do...

Here are 2 birthday cards I finished up yesterday. The first one is for a friend but I can't say who cuz she reads my blog...tee hee!!!! It is in the mail today! ;-) This sketch was from Verve's AnniVERVEsary challenges, this is sketch #1. I used Chocolate Chip and Soft Sky (DP, CS and ribbon). I made the scallop with my corner rounder and poked holes with my paper piercer. The stamps are from Papertrey Ink - Beautiful Butterflies I think it is called. The rhinestones were sent to me by my good friend Donelda, just cuz!! She's great!!!
This second one is for my friend Maya, we are going for lunch tomorrow and a pedicure. It is an odd shaped card (7 1/2 x 4) for no apparent reason, I just wanted to use up the red piece of paper that was sitting on my table, and that is what size it was!! LOL The DP is Honey Pie from Cosmo Cricket and the stamp set is Hero Arts Cupcake set (Simon Says Stamp). I used glittery fabric paint for the icing (like liquid applique but found at Michael's..it is cheaper, doesn't puff out, but still has the same effect) and a rhinestone for the flower. The ribbon is some red scraps that I had in my Pull Ez holder....love that thing!!!!

oooh - yummy colors on your butterfly card and super cute cupcake card! A friend of mine made her own ribbon holder with a crop-a-dile and a clear make-up bag. She got 4 drawers of ribbon into 1 bag!!! I love ribbon so should do it too. TFS the link!

Glad you could make good use of the rhinstones! And it looks so good on that butterfly! One of the PTI sets I don't own...yet! Love that Pull Ez contraption!! Cool!! Question for you - when you use your Magnolia stamps, do you just use double sided tape and put it on an acrylic block??

Thanks for the input!!
