Magical Birthday challenge entry

I have used Molly from the Stamp Fairy and coloured her with Copics.  I added stickles to her wings.  The CS is Blush Blossom (SU) and the DP is from my stash! I added some purple flowers I've had forever and some rhinestones! The sentiment is also from the Stamp Fairy!

Challenge entry.....

I have had to make several baby cards in the last couple weeks, so thought I would enter this one into a couple challenges.

Ooh La La Creations' challenge is BABY, BABY!

I am also entering this into Crafty Creations challenge, which is BABY also.  

Stampavie and More challenge is Something with Wings. 

I have used BARRY ANGEL from The Stamp Fairy & coloured him with Copics.  I added 3D Glittering Crystal paint to the cloud and Stickles to his wings.  The CS is Brilliant Blue (SU) and the DP is from DCWV - Nana's Kids.  The sentiment is from an old SU set that fits my scallop circle punch. 

It's Thursday, and that means I have only 6 days of teaching left until Summer vacation! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!   I SO need this break!!!!!

Doodle Dragon challenge entry

Hey everyone!!! I had a little time tonight to play in the Doodle Dragon Challenge this week! It is ALL TIED UP!!!  I wanted a simple Birthday card for a guy so I chose Dudley in his canoe!  The paper is from SPLASH - Echo Park.  I coloured Dudley with chalks and Copics- I wish you could see the shimmer in the water and the sky!  I finished it off with a piece of twine - more manly than ribbon I think!!!!

Sad day for me...

Hi everyone!  For the past 3 years, EVERY Wednesday I have had a Simon Says.... post!  Today is the first Wednesday that I am no longer on the DT and I am sadder than I ever thought I would be.  Simon has become a family to me and I will miss the DT terribly!!! 

I started buying from Simon Says Stamp when they were just a small ebay store - about 8 or 9 years ago I think!  It IS my one and only shop!!!  Heidi & I became fast friends and I felt part of the family.  I am fortunate to have been able to be part of the team for 3 years, and I know change is a good thing, but never easy!  It has been a lot of fun, I have learned a LOT and have challenged myself with things I may have never tried! So for that, I say THANKS!

I wish all the new girlies well...enjoy your time on the team, it is the best team in blogland!

I have used Watermelon Penguin from Digi Darla.  Cute eh?? I have a crazy penguin obsession going on lately...actually, its been for MANY years (As a little kid, I used to call my oldest brother "Ricky Ricky Penguin") but since the Calgary Zoo brought in the penguin exhibit, its been a bit of an obsession! LOL  I saw LITTLE BLUE PENGUINS in the wild when I was in Australia last summer & that started up my childhood obsession again! I also do a penguin unit with my students so I get a good dose of penguins each year!!! I have been to the Zoo twice and took about 300 pictures of them.....hahha.... I know, I'm crazy!!!!

I have used MARINA, isn't she gorgeous???  I coloured her with Copics and At You Spica pens.  I added green stickles to her fin too!!! I always imagine mermaids to be beautiful and sparkley!!!  The little yellow flowers are from an Etsy shop - I've had them forever so thought I better put them to good use!

Simon Says...............Joy's Summer Inspiration board

This week, our challenge for you is   
a SUMMER Inspiration board

Isn't it great?? LOTS of inspiration to choose from here!!!!  

 I have chosen the flower in the bottom right corner as my inspiration! When I saw this, I immediately thought of my Hero Arts Engraved Daisy  stamp. So I set off to find it, and COULDN'T!! I totally freaked out, but eventually found it in a spot where it shouldn't have been!  OY!!!!  It is a cling stamp from Hero Arts with Red rubber....they are amazing - and ink very nicely!!!!  

This week the DT are showcasing the INCREDIBLE selection of Hero Arts products that Simon Says Stamp sells....so be SURE To check them all out!!!!

 Anyway,Here is my card for this week:

The CS is So Saffron (SU) and the DP is Lily Bee - Double Dutch. I just got my 34 piece gelatos kit a couple weeks ago so I had a play (actually I played a lot until I finally found a technique that looked great with this flower!)   I coloured on the stamp with the gelatos, then spritzed with water, then stamped.  I think it is the most simple of techniques but I think it turned out really pretty!!!  I used yellow, red and a metallic orange, but unfortunately you can't really see the shimmer in the picture from the orange!!! GRRRRR!!!!!  I attached some shimmery orange ribbon and yellowish orange rhinestones to bling it up a bit!!! The sentiment is from an exclusive Simon Says Stamp sentiment set.

Love to Create challenge ........use something RECYCLED!!!!

Good morning everyone!!! Happy Monday!!!!! This week the LOVE TO CREATE Challenge is to use something that has been RECYCLED!!! I have used some pink shiny foil from a ripped gift bag (managed to save a good size chunk!!!!)

This week our sponsor is Sassy Studios and I have used an old image called Sock Hop Sweetie.  The reason I have used an older image, is because I got a pinched nerve in my neck on Wed. and couldn't colour.  Thankfully I had this one already coloured and was able to put together a card while I was "drugged" up! LOL   Love me some muscle relaxants! LOL    I have coloured her with Copics.  The swirl is an EK Success punch and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Nothing fancy since I had a hard time sitting up for any length of time without being in pain!!!

I have used Molly Throughout the Year - March, Fence accessory - June, and the Sun was a freebie. I have coloured it all with Copics.   The CS and the DP are from a card kit I had - I think the CS is Bazzill but not sure about the DP.  The butterfly is made with my EK Success Butterfly layering punch that I LOVE!!!!
