Bee thanking you.....

I made this card for my sister Cindy and her family for having us out at their cottage last week. Her kitchen is going to be decorated with yellow/black/bumblebees so I thought this was appropriate for her! The base is yo-yo yellow and the stamp is from Stampendous. The flowers are from my "collection" of primas & the black brad is from the Dollar Store! I used Crystal stickles on the bee and the flowers and crystal effects on his wings. I scalloped the bottom of the card with my corner rounder. This card is
5 1/4" x 5 1/4"

Thanks for stopping by!!! :)

A couple High Hopes cards....

My jungle stamps from High Hopes were feeling a bit neglected so I thought I would sit and colour a whole bunch. I finally got to use them up. This first card is Stretch the giraffe. The card base is Really Rust and the other layer is More Mustard - sponged with Really Rust ink and run through the Cuttlebug with the Mesh folder. I used a jumbo eyelet with a Fire rhinestone brad inside (both from SU). Stretch is coloured with koh-i-nor pencils and gamsol. The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is inked with Really Rust.
This is Samson, also from High Hopes. He is coloured with koh-i-noor pencils and gamsol too. The card base is Garden Green and the DP is from Arctic Frog - Lilly Pad collection. The sentiment is also from High Hopes and was inked in Garden Green. I used a jumbo eyelet (SU) and some green thread I had in my scraps bin! This card is 5 1/4" x 5 1/4"

Retro Funky Tilda

This is a 6 x 6 card - thought I would try a different size card! The base is Taken with Teal (SU) and the DP is from TAC (Frutti Fusion). I also used Elegant Eggplant paper and Taken with Teal ribbon. The primas are from my HUGE collection! The rhinestone brads & others are from Michael's. I paper pieced her dress and coloured the rest of her with SU markers. The skin tone is a Tombow marker I just picked up on a recent "road trip" with my friend Lorinna (HI!!) After I took the picture, I realized she was "floating" so I added some grass under her feet.

A few pics from my trip!

Here are a few pics of my trip to BC. We were on Shuswap Lake. So much fun!! My sister and her husband have built a "cottage" out there, and spend most of their summer on the lake! Here is their cottage - not a bad little shack eh? They are so lucky!!!
This was our first "pit" stop in Golden, BC. This is me, my nephew, my sister Cary and their dog Sunny.
Here's me in the boat!
This is Margaret Falls, it was a little hike to it, but it was so gorgeous!!!
This is my sister Cindy and her son, trying to get to the cave in the middle of Margaret Falls....crazy! That was as far as they made it!! LOL This is my niece feeding a llama at a farm. They had little bags of feed for the animals.
Bear cub paw print on their garbage bin. We never saw a bear but apparently there were 2 Moms and they each had 3 cubs...glad we never ran into them!!!
This is me swimming from the boat to this really cool waterfall. We walked around it for a bit, exploring, but the water was COLD!!!! Brrrrrr Here is the waterfall we swam to. Neat eh? There were so many cool places to explore along the lakes - it was fun!!! We went to a Corn Maze in Salmon Arm, BC. It was incredible - 10 acres of corn, with a maze cut through it. It was pretty neat but the mosquitoes were terrible!!!

Hope you enjoyed the photos!!! :) Thanks for visiting!!!

I'm home!!! and THANK YOU!!!!

What a trip!! It was so fun, but I'm exhausted!!! The weather was great the first 4 days, then it was cloudy and overcast..but that didn't stop us from hitting the lake!!! We got a few wicked storms at night, but that just made the water warmer!!! I sure missed home, Tim, Brick and Tux!! Brick was so happy to see me, I got a zillion kisses!! I had about 257 emails to check, lots of snail mail, and am now starting to hit the blogs! I have to find my camera, upload 230 pictures I took, and then I will post some!! Glad to be home, and itching to CREATE again soon!!!

Thank you to all who have left comments on my blog while I was away, it was so heart warming to come home and read them all....you gals are the BESTEST!!!! I promise I WILL get back to blogging as soon as I get a good night sleep in my own bed without my 7 year old niece talking in her sleep all night long, and my 4 year old niece screaming out in the middle of the night!! (ACK!!)

Nighty Night!!!

Rainy Day thoughts and a golfer's notebook

Another notebook with Tilda! This image was given to me awhile ago too, but I think I must have her now too!! LOL The paper is Soft Sky Designer Series Paper (SU) & the hydrangea flowers are from Prima (I got them at Michael's...I'm soooo happy they are carrying flowers now!!) I used a storybook alphabet I've had for ages and added stickles to all the rain drops.
Thought I better make a "masculine" notebook & since I had an extra golfer image from the monthly swap, I decided to use him. The paper is from Creative Memories & the blue stripe is actually ON the paper...cool eh?? I coloured the golfer with my koh-i-noor pencils and gamsol. I didn't add any sentiments cuz you know MEN.....won't use it if it's too girly!!! LOL

Tilda with bluebells

I know the flowers aren't blue bells but they reminded me of the flowers that I used to pick for my Mom when I was little. Out at our cabin, they grew like crazy in the hills around us. We used to go for walks and I'd bring her back a bunch of blue bells and a bunch of Black Eyed Susans. She still has the ugly white plastic vase that she used to put them in....lol!!! The card base is Bashful Blue, the DP is Basic Grey (I think) and the ribbon is a scrap piece of baby blue. I coloured her with prismas and gamsol.

Another Rosy Tilda

Another card for the monthly swap I explained in the last post - I should have just posted these together...ahhh well!!!! Same paper, same DP, same stamp. I added Old Olive polytwill ribbon to a piece of Hodgepodge hardware, stamped the word Cherish and attached it. She is coloured with prismas and gamsol as well!!

If all posts go as planned, I am laying on the beach in Sunny British Columbia enjoying a cold bevvy and playing with my nieces and nephews in the water!!! Wheeee!!!!
