Squigglefly Colour Challenge on SNR

I was finally able to join a Squigglefly colour challenge over on SNR Card Universe - yahoooo!!!! I'm so proud of myself! The challenge was two-fold : to use shades of yellow and to have something POPPED out of your card.
I made TWO....wheeeee!!!! The first card truly followed the challenge, but I think I might have cheated a bit on the second one!
I used a new Shy Bears image that is available from Squigglefly - they are soooo cute, I am SO in love with them!!!! I should have bought them ALL!!!! I popped out the bear, his hat, some leaves and the apples, and there is DEFINATELY yellow on this card!! LOL I used Crushed Curry paper and ribbon from SU - and a prima flower that matched it perfectly!!! The star paper is from a Heidi Grace Halloween set but it worked!!!!

Here is proof that it REALLY is popped out. I coloured and cut out 2 bears and used SU dimensionals to pop them up! The hat is popped up one level higher with a thicker dimensional I got at the Dollarama!

Here is the second card I made - I didn't pop anything out on dimensionals, but I made some things "dimensional"...LOL..does that count??? The mashed potatoes are Liquid Applique, so they are puffy and sticking up....I added crystal effects to the apples, peas and gravy, as well as the salt & pepper shakers.....that should count too eh?? LOL I really think this card needs a sentiment in the bottom right corner before I send it off - what do you think?
Anyway, thanks for "popping" in to say hi!!!! Have a great week!!!

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge

This week's challenge is "FOR YOU" - this is an EASY one so I would LOVE to see more people over there joining in!!!! Now that I am on the Design Team, you will be seeing these challenges every Monday - so I hope you will head over there and support our tiny little challenge blog so it can GROW into something big and wonderful!!!!!
Here is my card:
I used Chelsea, a digi image available at the Incy Wincy Designs shop. I shrunk her down so she would fit in the kitchen scene from Alota Rubber Stamps. This is my third try at this card - I was NOT happy with the first 2, so I pulled them apart and ended up with this one! I am happy with it for the most part, although I feel it could be better! I coloured it all with Copics, added Crystal Effects on the clock, jar, pump, bowl and handles to give it some dimension. The picture is really blurry - sorry about that, not sure what happened this time!!!! OY!!!!

I would love it if you could join us over at INCY WINCY DESIGNS CHALLENGE BLOG for this week's challenge!!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!!

Time for some "BRICK" action

For those of you who don't know, Brick is my dog! He is a bit of a wild man, as you will see in these pictures! He was a rescue we got about 6 years ago and he has kept us on our toes since then. He has some "issues" that has caused many a grey hairs, but thankfully he is DANG CUTE cuz that has saved his hide more than a few times!!! LOL Who needs kids when your dog is as needy, if not more?!!??! LOL

I wanted to take a little crafting break and share with you some pictures of our swimming trip last weekend. Brick LOVES to swim, as you can see by the intensity in his face waiting for me to throw the stick. It was COLD this day but he didn't care one bit!!!

Here are a few "LAUNCH" pictures - the lake was deep so there was no "wading" in for him, it was JUMP full bore to get that stick (we had a ball first but he put a hole in it and it sank!) He must have jumped at least 6 feet out!!!

This one cracks me up....he looks like Superman!

Belly flop!!

I'm flying!!!

Our big swimmer!!

Here is a short video we took too. (hopefuly it works!!!)

A2 Gift Card holders - you gotta check these out!!!

These cute little A2 gift card holders were bought from Taylored Expressions - I had to decorate them, but I bought the card - does that make sense?? Go to Taylor's store and check them out HERE!!!! You'll see what I mean!!!! Sure beats making your own.....I much prefer decorating ones that are already cut out!!!! LOL I bought 10 bright yellow and 10 chocolate brown. I wanted to get some neutral colours for guys and girls, so these are what I came up with:

Chef Edwin

Hanglar & Stanglar girl

LiLi

Cowboy kid

Deer

Sugar Nellie
I have showed you before what they look like open - they are quite neat eh?? They have little slits inside to hold the gift card and a little tab to hold them closed! Well worth the 50 cents each!!!!! I might have to buy some other colours!!!!! I plan to sell these at my craft sale - was thinking $3 or $4...what do you think????
Thanks for stopping by!!!!
Chris
