Mish Mash variety of cards

This card was made for a Harvest card Mingle over on a Magnolia Yahoo Group. I am really pleased with how this turned out! I used the new Autumn paper from SU, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. I cut out the hay bales and layered them, and put Farmer Tilda on top. I used the pumpkin and gourd from Autumn Harvest (SU). I coloured it all with Copics...still learning which is why there is a big variance in the hay bales...I was trying to see which looked more "realistic". LOL. The "Autumn Wishes" sentiment came from Magnolia in the Fall Club Kit. Cute eh?
I can't remember if I posted this one or not...sorry if I did! I used Mojo Monday sketch 46, and the bear from a CTMH set (bad memory - can't remember what it was called). I covered the whole bear with tan fun flock to make him fuzzy wuzzy!!!
This is a calendar page I am doing for a Magnolia Calendar swap. I quite like how it turned out too - the "shy" Tilda getting flowers on Valentine's Day from Edwin...how cute is that?? I coloured it all with Copics, cut out Edwin and Tilda and popped them into the scene (SOOO much easier than masking!)
Here is a close up picture - don't mind my little glitch with the white signo pen on her dress....whoops!!!

Have a great weekend everyone! To all my Canadian friends, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, NO WORK on Monday!!!!! I love long weekends!!!!!

3 x 3 note card box and cards

WOW, I didn't realize that these were still on my camera...hmmmm!!! I made this box using the tutorial over on SCS HERE. It was really quite easy. I made the box, the lid, and 10 3x3 cards inside with matching envelopes. I used Soft Sky CS and Close to Cocoa DP. The stamp set I used was Simply Said (SU). The flourish is from another SU set - can't remember what it is called right now!
Here is the top of the box, tied on with Soft Sky ribbon.

Sideview of the box - I scalloped the lid under the DP.
Some of the cards that were inside, and I stamped the matching flourish on the envelopes.
A close up of the card.

A scrapbook page

My scrapbooks are very non-scrapbooky.....I scrapbook ALL my pictures I take (unless they are bad ones) and they are all chronological. Since Tim and I met in 2002, I have made 8 (12x12) scrapbooks FULL of our adventures plus 2 wedding scrapbooks, a HOUSE scrapbook with all the renos we've done and a fishing scrapbook for Tim. I'm sure people who scrapbook differently will cringe if they ever saw my scrapbooks, but I love them, and that's all that matters. I put 4 or 5 pictures on a page, I crop them, journal and put very few big embellishments on the pages - I use mostly stickers and stamps to decorate. I do use the computer sometimes for journalling or headings. I do whatever feels good, and I don't worry about matching paper and ribbons and tags and such! Here is a page I did last weekend of Brick. I had a few random pictures of him that didn't fit on any specific page. I used my spiral punch to create filmstrip type backgrounds for the pictures because he is a star (unless he pees on the floor like he did yesterday, then he's naughty!) Anyways, just thought I'd share a page - I don't normally take pictures of my scrapbook pages but I liked this one! Maybe I like it so much because Brick is so handsome!!! (Proud Mommy!!!) Thanks for looking!!!!

Fall Kit Magnolia

This Tilda is up there in my TOP FIVE FAVES!!! She came with the Magnolia Fall Kit, and she is very similar to Cuddly Tilda with is my all time fave! This card is a 4 x 4 base in Brilliant Blue. The DP is Prestwick by SU. I coloured her with Copics and used my colorless blender to make the lighter spots...definately need to work on that technique...anyone have any pointers on how to feather it out nicely so it isn't all splotchy???? The metal rim tag is from SU and the sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps (tag time)
The same Tilda, but in purple this time!! The paper is from Papertrey Ink (PTI), the dark one is Plum Pudding and the light purple is called Lavender Moon. The ribbon is also PTI. I used my Stylized Flower folder with my cuttlbug for the background, and added some purple prima's. The scallop circle punch is from SU and the sentiment is from PTI as well (can't remember which set!)
Same layout, same colours (just reversed) but a different Tilda. This one is called Tilda in Sark - I don't own this stamp (I know - SHOCKER!!!) but I would love to! She is so pretty in her jammies sitting there!!!

ARGHHH MATEY!! This be anudder post!

I made these 2 cards for the High Hopes Challenge over on their blog, but I forgot to post that I did them, so I didn't get entered in the draw...whoops!! Ohhh well, it was fun. I coloured them both with Copics - still learning so they aren't all shaded and gorgeous, but I like how they turned out all the same!!! I added stickles to the treasure chest to make it all sparkle!! The paper I used is Blue Bayou, and a piece of green Coredinations paper I got from Heidi at Simon Says Stamp.
Another one for the High Hopes Challenge - also coloured with Copics. I used Purely Pomegranate and So Saffron paper, and the DP is from my stash of scraps! I used my Marvy punches to make the frames and used a very simple layout!

Thanks for looking!!!

Finally a post!!!

Sorry about the delay - our computer crashed last weekend, and I've been trying to recover favourite websites and blogs, email addresses, etc. I also lost my Picture It which is what I use to edit my photos and add my watermark. My friend has the disk, I just have to go and get it! UGH! So, these photos are unedited and with out a water mark! OHHH WELL!!! I felt like I needed to post something or you 'd all leave me!!! LOL I have been busy though, trying to get ready for swaps at the Calgary Classic weekend in 2 weeks! So, today, I will show you a few more Simon Says Design Team cards! They went in the mail on Friday, so you should get them soon Heidi!!!
This card uses the caterpillar and sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp set called "Enjoy the little things - BUGS". The butterfly is from Studio G (Michael's $1.50 bin). The card base is Blue Bayou and the DP is from Creative Memories. I coloured the caterpillar with copic markers and added stickles to the butterflies wings.

Same paper as above, although I added a piece of Mellow Moss and Bravo Burgundy to this one. The spider is from BUGS by Simon Says Stamp and the sentiment was from a grab bag I received a few years back (maybe StarvingArtistamps, but not sure!!)
This stamp set is called A Little Birdie Told Me from Simon Says Stamp as well. I used Close to Cocoa, Berry Bliss DP and my Marvy punches. I coloured the birds with Copic markers (I'm still learning - bear with me!) and added some stickles to their bellies!

Thanks for stopping by! I should have more cards tomorrow!!!
