ABC Christmas challenge - G for guy or girl

This week at  ABC Christmas Challenge  our letter is
G for "GUY" or "GIRL"
The DT have interpreted this challenge in a variety of ways.....some say it has to have a GUY or a GIRL ON the card, some say it has to be FOR a Guy or Girl....Sooooooooo, whatever way you want to interpret this challenge is totally A-OK!!!!  Just have fun!!! AND Good luck!!!

Here is my GIRL:

I have used HEIDI from Wee Stamps and coloured her with Copics.  I sponged the clouds with chalk and added some 3D glittering crystal paint to the snowflakes.  The papers are from a Recollections pack from Michael's  that I've had forever - but love the unconventional colours!!!  You can get this stamp at Stamp and Create - where our lovely Lacey has a SUPER AWESOME selection of stamps for sale!!!!

Thanks so much for popping by!!! Remember with this challenge, you have TWO WEEKS to enter! So why not get a head start on your Christmas cards for next year???  I'm excited to have a good stash of them done for next year.....less stress!!!! Wheeeeeeeeee!!!!
Have a great day!

Chris

Love to Create challenge - TAG, you're it!

(PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY!)

Good morning everyone!!! Happy Monday!!!!!
This week the LOVE TO CREATE Challenge is
TAG, you're it!!!
So let's see your tags, or your creations WITH tags on them!!!

Our sponsors this week are Eureka Stamps & The Stamping Chef.  I have used Rocking Retro by The Stamping Chef.

The sentiment was a freebie, but for the life of me, I can't remember where I got it from!! I wanted to keep it fairly simple so you could see my background.  The rainbow ribbon is from my stash.
The tag is a manilla tag from Tim Holtz and the groovy background is the SHAVING CREAM TECHNIQUE.  I put a glob of shaving cream on a plate, dropped in a few drops of SU reinkers (blue, pink, purple, yellow) and swirled it around with a chopstick!  Then I dragged the tag through the shaving cream, scraped off the excess & let it dry!!! This one was actually my 2nd try - the first try I put way too many drops of purple...I like the effect and will use this tag, but it didn't look right with the image!  Here it is so you can see it:

Thanks for stopping by!!!
Head on over to the challenge blog to check it out!!! HOPE to see you joining us!!!!!
Hugs,
Chris

I have chosen   National S'mores Day

When: Always on August 10th
S'mores are a favorite campsite treat for young and old kids. If you're at a campfire, chances are, there's S'mores. Sticky and gooey, and loaded with sugar and carbs, S'mores are nothing short of delicious. Who was the first person to create S'mores? We don't know. But, we're all sure glad they did!
National S'mores Day celebrates this tasty summer treat. It's appropriately placed in August...campfire prime time. But, don't limit your consumption of S'ores to the campfire. They are popular with kids year round, and can be baked in the oven or microwave.
The origin of S'mores dates back to the 1920's. It's believed the recipe was created by the Campfire Girls. Girl Scouts soon discovered it, and found it to be chocolatey delicious.  Before ling, S'mores became a campfire staple for everyone. S'more folklore suggests that S'mores got its name right by the campfire. After eating one, young kids chanted "gimme some more!"
While much is written about National S'mores Day, our research has been unable to verify that this is an officially recognized national day (which requires an act of Congress). Don't let that stop you from celebrating this day with a few S'mores.

And here is my card:

Our sponsor this week is Doodle Dragon Studios and Dustin has graciously given us all images to use for this FUN challenge!! SO many to choose from!!  I added white puffy paint to the marshmallows and then when it was dry, I coloured it with brown Copic (E33) to make them lightly toasted!!!  The ants look like they are enjoying their S'Mores!!!!  YUMMMMMM!!!!!  Best part about camping!!!!!  :)   I have used a bit of magic mesh and some camping themed DP.

Be sure to check out Dustin's amazing digis in his SHOP!!!
And then, head on over to the CHALLENGE blog and see what the rest of my teamies have done!!!!

Have fun and good luck!!! I hope you'll join us this week! If you do, you could win a GREAT prize this week!!! WOOO HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
