Designed2Delight challenge

This week at Designed2Delight, we got a really cool image called VINO - I had a lot of fun with it!!! I made this card using up some scraps I had on my desk and I really like how it turned out! I added Crystal Lacquer to the bottle and stickles to the flowers. The sentiment is from a sentiment set from Simon Says Stamp. Squigglefly Challenge - It's Christmas!!

Well, this is my first official Squigglefly challenge card! The theme at the Squigglefly challenge blog this week is CHRISTMAS!!!! I think this reindeer was one of the FIRST Squigglefly images I ever bought, cuz he is so cute!!!! The papers I used are digital papers from Fred She Said and I added little rhinestones in the center of them all. A very simple card but I liked the paper so much that I wanted to show as much as I could!!!! I hope you will head to the blog to check out what my other team members have created for you!!! Incy Wincy Designs Challenge Blog - Distress it!!

This weeks challenge at Incy Wincy Designs Challenge blog is to DISTRESS IT!!!! I love distressing, and I had a FUN time with this image! This is Nico from IN STYLE STAMPS, which is our sponsor this week!! I coloured Nico with Copics to match the Really Rust SU! paper, which is my card base. I then added a layer of "distressed" black, and a layer of "distressed" More Mustard under the image. The map is a stamp I got on Ebay a reallyyyy long time ago, and I heat embossed it with black EP. I smudged distress ink all over it and distressed the edges of that layer too. The pirate ship is from a Jolee's pack of pirate stickers, and the 2 sentiments are from a free set from my Simon Says Stamp DT teamie, Martine. You can check it out HERE!!

Karen's Doodles USA Challenge Blog - Christmas in July!

This week at Karen's Doodles USA challenge, we are challenging you to make a Christmas card!!! It is only 160 some odd days until Christmas, are you ready??? I'm NOT, never am!!!LOL But I have made afew Christmas cards as a start!!! This image is called Emma & Snow Scene and you can get it HERE. I dry embossed snowflakes on my DP,and coloured Emma & the bird with Copics. I used 3D Crystal glaze on the snow and snowflakes, you can see it closer up here:

The Corrosive Challenge Blog - Sketch time!

This week at The Corrosive Challenge blog, we have a sketch for you! It is a nice simple sketch that allows for larger images that you want to be the focal point. I chose this stamp called Wine & Cheese from Inkadinkado which I got from Simon Says Stamp.


I coloured it awhile ago, using a technique I got from the Simon Says Stamp blog...THANKS to Heidi & Steph for helping me find it, you can find the video tutorial HERE!!! It was making me CRAZY cuz I couldn't find it in the archives...I'm SURE I passed it 15 times!!!! LOL

It was really easy actually.....it is embossing powders. So what I did was, using my Versamark pad, stamped it on a part I wanted a specific colour (let's say the grapes) - then sprinkled purple EP on it, then heated it. Then I stamped with versamark on the cheese, sprinkled yellow EP on that part & heated it. I did the same technique for the wine, the glass & the background. It gives a neat "Van Gogh" feel to it!!!! Go watch the video...she explains it much better!!! And her work is GORGEOUS!!!!
