Whheeeee!!! I LOVE being on holidays!!!

That means I get to participate in challenges more than normal!!!! SO, today I have TWO for you, for a few different challenges!
This first card is for the challenge over at BEE CRAFTY - to celebrate the New Year, using a digi. I used this cute mouse from Phindy's Place. I coloured it all with Copics, then added crystal lacquer to the entire martini glass. It was still wet when I took this picture but it will dry clear! I used some Yo Yo Yellow CS and some DP from my scrap bin.

This second card is for the challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge blog....use HEARTS! Kenny K just released a bunch of new LOVE images so this is to celebrate the new release!! I have used Uptown Angel. I used a new paper pack from Martha Stewart that I just got today and some heart rhinestones I've had in my stash for awhile. The sentiment is from a Verve Stamps set that I've had for a really long time too! This card is 9x4.
Because my paper pack is new, I am going to enter this in the Paper Sundaes challenge too.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment! This year, I am going to try REALLY HARD to visit everyone who leaves me a comment......that is my goal!!!! So, leave me a comment so I can swing by your blog too!!!! Wish me luck!!!!

Karen's Doodles USA Challenge card.....

This week the challenge at Karen's Doodles USA Challenge blog is a sketch. Here it is! I think this sketch works great with Karen's images...it really showcases them!!! LOVE it!!!!!

And here is my card:

It is for my nephew who is having his Confirmation at the beginning of May, so Karen's Confirmation set was PERFECT!!!! You get 5 digi images (3 girls, 2 boys) for only $12! GREAT deal!!!! I also bought the Holy Communion set because many of my students have their First Communion this year so I thought I would make them each a bookmark using the images!
I am also going to use these images for the invitations to the Sacramental Lunch the school puts on for all the students who have had a sacrament in the last year!!!

The card base is black, with a Brilliant Blue layer. The Cross (Verve Stamps) was stamped on black with gold ink. I tried to cover it with Crystal Effects but it looked stupid....so this is the THIRD cross I stamped and cut out..ugh!!! LOL I am really happy with how it turned out, it is simple but perfect for a 10 year old boy!!! Inside it says "May God bless you on your special day" (SU) I coloured the boy with Copics and it took me a long time to get the hair colour right! It is still a bit too blonde for Brody, but that's ok, I am SURE he won't notice!!!!
Thanks for popping in!!! Wish me luck!!!!

My first EASEL CARDS!!!!

Alright, I jumped in and tried my hand at an easel card. The tutorial I used which was really awesome & easy to follow can be found HERE.

This one is a 4 x4 - first try, it's ok.....a bit small but I didn't want to overwhelm myself with my first one!!! LOL I used Riding hood red CS, the DP is from My Minds Eye, the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, and the hedgies are from a Penny Black clear set called Every Which Way.

After I tried a little one, I wanted to try a bigger one, see if I liked this type of card...well, let me tell you - I LOVED it!!! This one turned out SO awesome, I am very proud of this one! It is going to a friend who just had a baby!!!

Here is the front.......lots of bling and sparkles!!

and the side view to see the easel part, the button that props it up & the sentiment.
And here is the entire card - open in all its glory!! LOL

The flourish stamp is from Lizzie Ann Designs, the bunny and sentiment are from the set Practically Perfect from Verve Stamps & the paper is from My Mind's Eye. I coloured the bunny with my Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol & sparkled her up with my Sakura jelly roll pen (stardust) and stickles!
Thanks for looking at my very first easel cards - I think I will be making more of these!! They are fun and SO easy!!!!

Three challenges in one post......phewwww!!!! I was busy!!!!

I hibernated yesterday because it was snowy and cold so I got a few challenges done!!! This first card is for Challenge #73 at Spoonful of Sugar - using a sketch. Here is my take on the sketch -which was really fun!!!

I used an image of Tilda on a sled, which was mailed to me last winter that I finally got around to colouring & using! The cardstock is Pink Pirouette & is 6x6. The green designer paper is from a TAC stack that I got last spring (can't remember the name of it!!) The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set called Sending Sunshine. I added stickles to the snowflakes and randomly to the white stars on the green paper. I coloured Tilda with my Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol.

This next card is for Digital Tuesday Challenge, which was to make a Halloween card! I couldn't resist using this cute monster from Dustin Pike. I wanted him sitting on something spooky, like a tombstone, so I found the graveyard scene online in a colouring pages site - I just googled "tombstone colouring page" & got a TON!!! Amazing what is out there for free!!

I used the last of my Trick or Treat paper by Provo Craft for this card!!! Sniff sniff!! I coloured the sky with my chalks and the rest with Copics.I added crystal effects to the cross, the lollipop and his teeth!

This last card is for Mojo Monday - week 108!! I have always liked the Mojo Monday sketches so I thought I would try this one out!

I used the stamp sets from Verve Stamps called Practically Perfect (bunnies) and Beautiful You (sentiment) and the Happy Anniversary stamp is from Simon Says Stamp. I used blue bayou and the DP is from an Adhesive mat stack that my friend Tracy got me ages ago - it is almost all gone so I will have to keep my eyes open for more next time I'm in the USA! (they don't sell that kinda thing in Canada!!)

Thanks for looking! I will be entering these 3 cards into those challenges so wish me luck!!!!! Have a great week!!! I can't believe it is Wed. already!!!! Wheeeeeeeeeee!!!
