Seize the Cupcake!!

I made this card awhile ago, I just forgot to post it!!! The picture is so blue - I think it is because I had my OTT light on while taking the photo...oops!!! I can't even take another picture of it because it has been sent away!! ANYWAY, the CS is Tempting Turquoise and the DP is from SU, I just can't remember which series! The sentiment is from Hero Arts CUPCAKE set that I got from Simon Says Stamp. I also got this Tilda with Cowberry Muffing from Simon Says - so head on over there and check out their great selection of MAGNOLIA stamps (that I hand picked and ordered JUST FOR YOU!!!!!)

Have a great weekend!!!

I found a new Digi Image site....

It is an Etsy store called Digital Stamp Oasis & Ellie has the cutest little squirrel images!!! This first one is Sammy - cute eh??

I used Real Red CS, and some DP I had in my stash - not sure who makes it, but I love it!!!! The sentiment is from Verve Stamps - one of their Valentine sets (can't remember which one though....sorry) I coloured him with copics.

This is Susie Squirrel watering her flowers!!! Isn't she cute?? The sentiment is from Digital Stamp Oasis too - a freebie for first time buyers!!! Nice eh?? I coloured her with copics too!! The CS & DP are Brilliant Blue & Bashful Blue & I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder on the white piece.

Thanks for stopping by!!!! If you have time, leave a comment - it totally makes my day!!!! :0)

GOOD NEWS to share!!

I was going to share this earlier, but I wanted to have some cards to post along with my news!!!! ARE YOU READY FOR THIS????????

I was chosen to be a DESIGN TEAM member for SQUIGGLEFLY!!!! I am so excited!!!! For those of you who aren't familiar with Squigglefly, head to their website and check it out! They offer a WIDE variety of digital images that are SO EASY to download!! You can resize them, flip them, print them out a gazillion times!!!!

Here are the cards I made with the images they gave me to work with: This image is called Little Bo Peep & she was really fun to colour! I used my copics although I'm going to have to put them away until I can get a refill for my colorless blender!!! EEK!! I don't know how it ran out without me knowing....whoops!!! I used Bashful Blue as my base, and the DP is some sparkly stuff I got at Michael's awhile ago. I used 3D puffy paint on the sheep (like Liquid Applique but cheaper and easier to find at Michael's!!) The charm I had in my stash and the ribbon is blue taffeta from SU. I printed the sentiment on the computer!

I used the Whimsical Ballerina on this card, flipped her image and pushed her as close to the other one as possible. I made this card with my 2 nieces in mind - as they are both dancers & they both LOVE purple!!! Their recital is in a month or so, so I thought this would be perfect to go with the flowers we get them! I coloured them with copics and the sentiment is from Great Expectations by Verve Stamps. I added stickles to their tutu's - can't have a tutu without sparkle!!!! LOL I used Lovely Lilac and Almost Amethyst papers and a prima, pearl and ribbon from my stash!!! They are coloured with my copics.

Another Whimsical Ballerina - this time I made a 9x4 card. I used Pacific Point CS, DP from Michael's and bits of purples to accent the purples in the DP! She is coloured with my copics too! Here is the inside of this card:

The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp exclusive set called Heather's Dance Ballet Tap Jazz & is a really great set for little dancers in your life!!!

Thanks for looking - and head on over to Squigglefly and check out their new images - I just noticed some new ones there this morning!!! There is one called Wit's End - and that was TOTALLY ME on Monday!!!! I was frazzled to the bone - work, family, life...you know!!!! LOL

STAY TUNED for MORE NEWS soon!!!! I can't tell you YET, but it is GREAT!!!!! hehehehe

Craft Critique

About 3 months ago, I came across a website that amazed me!!! IT compared different crafting products - not just paper crafts or scrapbooking - EVERYTHING! It was really cool - they explained both products then gave a Pros and Cons list for each..what a great site for someone starting out, or if you are in the market for buying something new!! It saved me from buying something "stupid".....I just wish I had seen the site BEFORE I bought several of my USELESS tools!!!! LOL Anyways, it is CRAFT CRITIQUE's 2nd anniversary and they are giving away an AMAZING blog candy - check this out:
So, get on over there, check it out, and add them to your Google Reader or whatever you use to follow blogs - it is WELL worth it!!!! BUT don't enter to win the blog candy cuz IT'S MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mwahahahahahah (kidding!!! But wouldn't that be amazing?!?!?)

Inky Impressions Design Team Call cards

Well, here they are! I am trying out for the DT for Inky Impressions - wish me luck!!! Nicole wanted us to showcase our colouring, our colour matching abilities and creativity!
This first card is a HAnglar & StAnglar image someone sent me that I had coloured up a couple weeks ago. The DP in the back is from My Mind's Eye, and the layer of polka dots is from SU. I coloured her using my Copics. I coloured the flower with my Spica pen to give it some shimmer. The little saying is a brad I got from Michael's the other day! The ribbon is red grosgrain. I also decorated the inside with the same DP.
This is the second card I made. She wanted us to be able to think out of the box which is why I chose to make a CD envelope shaker card. It's not your regular A2 card or square card that you see so often!! You HAVE seen these from me before!! I JUST love them, they are so fun to give, and to receive!! I know the kids (& big kids) I've given these to, just love playing with them!!! The shakers inside are little purple X's and O's - I should have shaken it up better before I took a picture. The Rhino, tree and sentiment are all from High Hopes. The leaf is from a camping set I got AGES ago as a gift, but I unmounted them all, so not sure the company name.
I coloured these ones with my Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS so I could show her that I CAN colour with different mediums. I had to dust off my pencils but when I coloured these, I realized how much I LOVE to use them!!! I think I might put my copics away for awhile and get back into my pencils & OMS!!! I love how they blend!!! The ribbon is silver and purple to match the colours in the CS and shakers!
I spent about 3 days fretting about these cards - I hope they get a passing grade!!!! LOL
