Welcome Baby Dragon!!

I made this card for our friends who just had a baby boy. We bought them a gift card from Toys R Us & it had a dragon on it, so this card works perfect! The stamp is from High Hopes & the sentiment is from a mini clear set from Inkadinkadoo. The DP is Jersey Shore from SU and the CS base is Brilliant Blue.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to enter to win my Friday Freebie - see yesterday's post to see the great stamp set you can win from Simon Says Stamp!!!!

Have a great weekend!!!

My first Scrapling....

I know they've been out there for a long time, I just never got around to making one! I have been on a kick lately (as you know) about using up my scraps, so this is perfect. I found several measurements for Scraplings but this one is 3" x 5.5" - a little bigger than most I've seen but really....are there ANY rules in paper crafting??? It's a good size for a little girls birthday!

I used LiLi's Stuffed Bunny from Inky Impressions and a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp. I coloured LiLi using my Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol.

Very simple, very plain & very pink!!!

Simon Says... Christmas in August!!!

Ok, I have to admit that I had a HARD time with this challenge - mentally! We had snow in JUNE, had a hot July and a rainy August. Before you know it, we will have snow again.....boooooooooo hooooooooooo!!!! The sucky part about living in Canada is that we have 2 seasons really.....winter and spring! LOL Ahhh seriously, it isn't that bad, you get used to the crazy weather!!!! I just hope this coming winter isnt' as LONG and as COLD as last year!!! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

So, our challenge this week is CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST!!! Make a card, layout, project, etc. with a Christmas theme! Link up your project at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog and you could be the lucky winner of a $25 shopping spree from Simon Says Stamp!!!!! One lucky winner will be announced next Wed. so you better get creating!!! CAN'T wait to see what you create!!!! AND, it puts you one Christmas card ahead for this year!!!!

Here is my project:

I used Sitting Alva - a stamp from the Magnolia "Jingle Jangle" collection. I used some SU DP from who knows how long ago......but it all worked together & I liked it!!! I used a layout that was on a card on my bulletin board that my SBS4 sister gave me (HI DEB......hope your move went well...miss you!!) The sentiment is computer generated cuz I did not want to dig out all my Christmas stamps.....YET!!!!

Can't wait to see what you all come up with this week!!!! Merry Christmas in August!!! LOL

Thanks for stopping by!!!! Have a great rest of the week!!!!!

GIANT flower!!!

I got this really cool Paper Flowers kit by K&Company from Costco a few months ago & finally ripped open the package. Inside was a tube of glitter, a tube of rhinestones and a tube of brads, some wackytac tape & a refill and a paper pad of 578 pieces to make flowers & leaves. They are precut and perforated so you just pop them off the page, fold on the score lines, layer, embellish & your done!!

I made this GIANT one and didn't really know what to do with it, so I turned it into a card. I used 3 layers, some leaves and a center piece from the kit, and added my own giant pink brad. I added a Hanglar & Stanglar image that I had coloured from a long time ago, and a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp. There are pop dots between the layers of petals to give them dimension & my little Hanglar girl is popped up too!

It's very different for me, very "out of the box" but I really like it!!! I have the PERFECT person to give it to too!!!! I hope she likes it!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Phebe is the owner of The Town Scrapper, and I have bought many stamps from her - she is awesome! These stamps you see in this BLOP (Blog Hop) are her designs...how cool!!! Sooo happy for her!!!! Please go check out her Design Teams creations, get a sneak peek at the new images coming out, and enter for many chances to win some BLOG CANDY (6 chances & a Grand Prize!!!)

Bookmark for my sister (I know...original title eh??)

I wanted to make a bookmark for my sister, who loves to read. So, here is what I came up with! I used LiLi's prayer from Inky Impressions.

I went hog wild with the distressing & I LOVE the effect with the browns and the DP (which is from a pack of 4x6 papers I got at Wal Mart AGES ago!!) I put crystal effects on her bracelet, earrings and her eyes to give them dimension. I coloured her with my Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol.

Thanks for stopping in.....have a great week!!!!
