This card was made with a die cut of a birthday card, some candle brads and some scrunchy ribbon. I go them all from a Paper Wishes card kit package. I added Tilda to the card as well as a sentiment to finish it off!

Seriously, nothing fancy today!!! .....lol

Dreaming Pixie.....

I made this card with a new digi Pixie image I got from Charmed Cards & Crafts. They have some really cute images!!! She is called Dreaming Pixie & you can get her as an actual stamp or in a digi download pack of Pixies (pack #1). Isn't she beautiful????

I didn't have any purple flowers so I spritzed some white ones with Glimmer Mist. I got the white flowers AND the Glimmer Mist from Simon Says Stamp! The swirl and the sentiment tag are from my Cricut - Storybook cartridge, and I spritzed them with Glimmer Mist too!!

Birthday Cards....

I made 2 more birthday cards - for my sisters 50th birthday and my niece's birthday. They both share the same birthday - pretty cool eh? Not sure I'd want to be giving birth on MY birthday but hey....what a gift!!!!! I got to hang out with them on their actual birthday! - we went to Jubilations, which is a dinner theater place. It was really fun! There were 6 of us!

For my sisters card, I used Herbert Turtle Birthday Set. It comes with Herbert with a cake on his back or a cupcake, plus all the numbers and balloons and stuff! I couldn't decide on just one, so I had to have it all!!! LOL Thankfully Karen has a nice little pack deal for ya!!! I had to figure out how to get the #s on his cupcake using Microsoft Word because I don't have a fancy PhotoShop program...and I did it!!! I was SO proud of myself!!!!!

I am entering this card into the ANIMAL MAGIC challenge at Karen's Doodles UK this week!!! I think Herbert qualifies!!!!!! Wish me luck!!!!

For my niece's card, I used Kiki La Rue with her puppy (you can get her at Simon Says Stamp), since Carla just got a puppy for her birthday from her fiancee! Lola is a Puggle....and very very cute!!!! Carla's favourite colours are pink and brown, so I decided to go with those for her card!! The sentiments used on both cards are from "Simply the best Sentiments" from Simon Says Stamp!

Karen's Doodles Challenge USA

This week at Karen's Doodle USA Challenge blog, the theme is Mom/Feminine......which is perfect for this image called "On the road again"...isn't she great! I love her feather boa!!!! I wanted Rosie to have a shiny red sports car so I added some crystal lacquer to it & her shades!! Its hard to tell, but her car is REALLY shiny in real life!!! This card is for my sister who just turned 50.

Paper Sundaes Challenge

This week at Paper Sundaes, the challenge is to "Build a paper sundae: 3 scoops of ice cream (3 patterned papers), 2 toppings (2 different card stocks) and 1 cherry on top (single flower)"

Soooo, this is what I came up with! I found a layout that used a lot of layers and then found 3 different DPs that worked together. These are all from an Animal Stack (DCWV) I got at JoAnns last Easter when I was in Great Falls! The image is from Limited Runs, and it is a freebie, so if you head to Nikki's blog you can pick him up, but you better be quick...he might run away!!!! The sentiment is from my favourite sentiment set from Simon Says Stamp!!! And coincidentally, if you enter the challenge at Paper Sundaes, you can win a $15 shopping spree at Simon Says Stamp!!!! Wheeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

The Corrosive Challenge Blog....CHARMS

This weeks challenge at The Corrosive Challenge blog is to use CHARMS!!! I have a ton of charms and I love using them, I just often forget to use them!!!! This image is called Beach Umbrella & it is by Creations by Penny. What a great scene....makes me LONG for summer! Or a vacation by the beach would be good too!!!!!

I have coloured it with Copics and added Crystal Effects to teh birds and the umbrella to give them dimension, although it is hard to see!!! The sentiment is from a Gina K set I've had for a really long time!! I've had this sun charm for a VERY long time, I think it was one of the first charms I ever bought - at the Dollar Store mind you!!! Now I buy all my charms from Simon Says Stamp because they have such a GREAT selection!!!!
