Karen's Doodle's Challenge UK....

This weeks challenge at Karen's Doodle's Challenge UK is Monochromatic, and I've been on a purple kick, so here is my card for this challenge. I hope there is enough purple to be considered monochromatic!!!!!

Here is a close up of the top butterfly - it is 3 layers to make it look like it is flying off the card!!! LOL

Sweet Caramel Apple

As a kid, I used to LOVE Caramel Apples! Every year at the Calgary Stampede, that would be our treat to take home with us.... yummmyyy!!!! Of course we HAD to take it home cuz we were literally SICK with JUNK.....corn dogs, french fries, cotton candy, corn on the cob, mini donuts, lemonade, rootbeer....LOL....ugh!!!!!

So when I came across this template at My Favorite Things, I had to print it out and give it a try!!! The paper is Real Red and Creamy Caramel (SU) and the DP is some scrap SU paper. The image is a C.C. Design stamp which I got from Simon Says Stamp Superstore. It was really easy & really fun!!! And, it is a nice change to the regular A2 cards!!!!

Simon Says.... THINGS with WINGS

This week, the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog is THINGS WITH WINGS!!!! The Design Team are showcasing C.C. Designs stamps this week as well!! You don't HAVE to use C.C. Designs for your creation, but if you got 'em...why not use 'em??? LOL Seriously, THAT is not mandatory!!!!

For my card, I used Leisel, one of the Swiss Pixies...isn't she cute?? You can get her at Simon Says Stamp Superstore!!! PLUS a LOT more....they have a GREAT selection!!!! The paper is all Basic Grey and the rhinestones are from SSS as well!!! I coloured Leisel with Copics and added stickles to her wings and her boots!

Paper Sundaes Challenge.....No people

This week is the 14th week of challenges at Paper Sundaes challenge blog! The theme this week is NO PEOPLE! I made this card using Tulip Trio from Fred, She Said (digi images). The sentiment is an old foam mounted (yuck!) stamp that I got EONS ago but love it so haven't gotten rid of it yet!!!! I coloured them with Copics, used my D'vine swirl CB folder and my oval Nesties! I will be starting up my table at the Farmers Market again in May, and it seems that Sympathy cards go as fast as birthday cards!!! So I need to stock up again!!!

Karen's Doodles UK Challenge....Things with wings

This weeks challenge at Karen's Doodles UK is THINGS WITH WINGS. I wanted to do something different than all the fairies and angels that were out there, so I used Herbert and Bigsby, TIME FOR TEA. It REALLY isn't a cop out for things with wings....I wanted them to have butterflies all around them as they were having tea in the park!!!

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge - Black, White and ONE other colour!!!

This weeks challenge at Incy Wincy Designs is BLACK, WHITE AND ONE OTHER COLOUR!!!
We were fortunate enough to get to work with a really cool silhouette digital stamp from Stampin Dragon Designz at Stitchy Bear Stamps! You can win 3 of her designs if you enter our challenge!!!! Here is my card:

The cardstock is a white base, black layer then a Pixie Pink layer. The ribbon and flower are from my stash! Inside it says "Happy Anniversary to a great couple!" Silhouettes are great to work with, - there is no colouring involved!!!

Paper Sundaes Challenge blog....

ETA: I was having blogger issues so I emailed my entry to Paper Sundaes...hope it still counts for the challenge!!! EEK!!!! Bad Blogger!!!

I just discovered a GREAT challenge blog, with AMAZING prizes!!!! You really should go check it out....actually, no don't, cuz then I won't win!!! LOL It is called Paper Sundaes and it looks very fun!!! So, I am joining in for this weeks challenge! Squeaking it in at the very last minute!!! LOL

The theme this week is Make a Scene, so I made this Pirate scene using Dustin Pike images, High Hopes sentiments and the new Pirate Edwin and Pirate Tilda. I forgot to take a picture of the inside...but inside there is a Treasure chest overflowing with jewels and coins and a pirate map. The sentiment says "May your birthday be brimming with treasures". The pirate ship, message in a bottle, the barrel and the sword are Dustin Pike images (as is the treasure chest & map inside). The Magnolia stamps can be purchased at Simon Says Stamp!!!

I am also entering this into the Magnolia Stamp Lovers challenge blog, they have a theme of Create a Scene too! LUCKY ME!! Thanks for the heads up Mindy!!!

Also, Paper Sundaes is having a Blog hop to celebrate all their amazing sponsors - it started on the 11th and is running until the 30th so you still have time to participate!!!! The Corrosive Challenge Blog - PAPER PIERCING

I love paper piercing and quite often I forget how much it adds to a card! Sometimes it can make all the difference!!!! This card is for The Corrosive Challenge blog and I have paper pierced around the label shape. The cat is a die cut from Die Cut Dreams, I just added some shading with my chalks and a white gel pen. The sentiment is from a sentiment set from Simon Says Stamp. The flowers are from an SU flower punch and the rhinestones are from my stash.


Now, pay close attention to the Cuttlebug background...it is called Forest Branches....isn't it great?? You're thinking...OK, ya what is the big deal?? Well, let me tell you...THIS particular CB folder..... my HUBBY bought for me!!! ON HIS OWN, without me asking...he just showed up with this one and a set of borders folder...neither of which I owned (which is hard to do!!) LOL Tim NEVER buys me crafty things because he says he doesn't know what I don't' have (k, seriously.....what does that say about my craft room?? LOL) but he did this time, and he did AWESOME!!! I LOVE HIM!!!!
