ABC Challenge - Photo Inspiration

This week at  ABC Christmas Challenge  our letter is

Isn't it gorgeous?? LOTS of choices here folks!!! No excuses!!! LOL

AND here is my card, using Ornament Mouse from Meljen's - our sponsor this week! I took my inspiration from the gorgeous silver and blue wreath in the bottom right corner...so pretty!!!! I used Bashful blue and some silver glitter paper, my snowflake embossing folder and some sheer (is that organza??) ribbon I had on my ribbon wall!!!

Cozy Winter Owl

This is a scrapling card turned on its side, measuring 5.5 x 3"  - these are fun to make, and its good to know you can use up that little strip when you make a 5x5 card!  The mint green paper is actually sparkly -ifyou look close!  The rest of the paper is Handsome Hunter and Glorious Green from SU.  The image is Cozy Winter Owl and I have coloured him with Copics.  The snow is Glossy white 3D paint and his hat has Glittering Crystal 3D paint


I am entering this card into the Meljen's challenge, the Corrosive Challenge blog and Challenges 4 Everybody which are Anything Goes.  Glitter & Sparkle challenge blog has a ribbon and/or lace challenge this week so I'm going to enter this over there too!  Challenge up your life has a First Snow challenge...I hope that the snow that this cute owl is sitting on counts for this one!!!!  AND I'm going to enter this into The Craft Place challenge blog, which is NO SQUARES (I used rectangles!!!)

I love Zombies!

Ok, let me clarify that!  I NEVER ever ever ever liked zombies until I was coerced into watching The Walking Dead....I don't know about you, but I was HOOKED within the first 15 min.  Sure, there are some gross parts but MAN, is it crazy good!!!  Anyway, that's not why I'm here today.....lol......even though it is on tonight!

I wanted to show you a card I made for my nephew that I'm entering into the Meljen's TEAR IT UP challenge!  I completely stole the sentiment from one of Meljen's designers (thanks Dianna) but it fits SO amazingly with Zombie Bunny!  LOVE this image!!!  Nothing too fancy with this layout, just a lot of ripping and distressing - do you find some papers distress better than others? The blue paper was FRUSTRATING! It kept bending, not shredding...I wonder if my Tim Holtz distresser tool is dull?!?!?!  Hmmmmmm!!!!

I have used Monkey Toes  and have coloured him with Copics. I went with a monochromatic card for some reason...I never PLAN too, they just happen & I seem to always fall into that comfort zone!  The CS is Bashful Blue (SU) and the dark blue is from Core'dinations.  The buttons & ribbon are from my stash, and I used the Spots & Dots Cuttlebug folder for the background!
