Family Portrait

I just got my Magnolia Ink magazine and in the back I noticed a Contest! The contest is to use Magnolia stamps to make a portrait of your family! I thought...oooohhh how fun!!!! I knew right away which image I would use for me, because I am a teacher & I wear glasses...and I used to wear pigtails when I had long hair, so this Tilda reminds me of ME!! Tim loves to fish, so I used this older image of Edwin fishing - only thing is, Tim is BALD, but that's OK!!!! Then I added our "kids" - Brick (on the left), Minty (white dog- she should be smaller but couldn't figure out how to do it), and Tux (our black & white diabetic cat!). You can get all of these images at Simon Says Stamp!!! They have a HUGE selection!!!

I think it is a pretty accurate family portrait, although I'm sure Tim would rather have Edwin racing RC cars...since that is his NEW hobby!!!! LOL

I cut out our name with my Cricut machine, added some ribbon and a flower! I am pretty sure it won't win, but hey, it was totally FUN to make!!!! I think I will try to find a long frame and frame it for our office wall!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!! If you've made a family portrait for this contest, I'd love to see them!! So leave me a link in the comments so I can go have a peek!!!!!

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge.....Music

This weeks challenge at Incy Wincy Designs Challenge blog is MUSIC! It is a fun challenge - open to SO many different interpretations!!!

This is my project for this week, a CD envelope. I got the tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. This is the front, decorated with UKELELE from Aspire To Thrive Children's Charity shop, drawn by our very own DT member, GREG!!! I have it popped up on top of another one to give it some dimension. I should have taken a side view pic......sorry!!!

Here is a closer view of the front. The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp sentiment set called "Simply the Best" Sentiments.

And a view of the inside pocket with a CD in it, ready for giving!!!

I hope you will head over to the challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT have created for you!!! AND I hope you will join us this week!!!! GREAT prize this week - $10 to spend at Aspire To Thrive shop!!!!

The Corrosive Challenge Blog....

The theme this week at The Corrosive Challenge blog is Black, White and one other colour. I made this card for my nephew to welcome his new dog that we rescued (I helped him get him!) I found this image online and decided to use it. I coloured his colour CAMO cuz that is what Bobby's collar looks like - Shawn got a kick out of that!!! The paw paper is digi paper I got from a free site ages ago and for the life of me, can't remember where! (ETA: The paper is a Freebie from Squigglefly!!!! Thanks Stef & Holly!!!)
I hope you'll join us this week!!

Here is a picture of my nephew Shawn and Bobby! Bobby is actually the dog we were going to rescue in November (remember me telling you about that?) but my friend wasn't ready to get rid of him yet, she had a hard time!! But when she was finally ready, we had already adopted Minty, and Tim wouldn't let me have 3 dogs!!! MEANIE!!!!! LOL Bobby looks a lot like Brick, just a lighter colour, and they have very similar personalities too!! Bobby is a little calmer though!!!! LOL
