Enjoying my snow day!

So, like I said earlier, we got a lot of snow last night and today - a perfect day to stay inside!!! I spent the morning cleaning the house, and now I have lots of guilt-free time to play!!! I visited all my favourite challenge blogs and decided to play along!! I got 4 done today, sooo proud of myself!! This card is for TWO challenges: The Stamp Fairy (CIRCLES) and Do It With Digis (PINK & GIRLY).

With the new computer, I had to install new photo editing software and am trying out a couple different ones to see which I like best. This one didn't really show the colours all that great, but it really IS pink, I promise!! I made it for a friend who just had a baby girl last week!! I hope it is GIRLY enough for the Do it with Digis challenge!!!

The DP is Sunny Garden (SU) and the card base is one from a big box from Michael's. I used my circle Nesties and circle punches, plus the polka dot ribbon and DP adds even more circles!!! I paper pieced the bear to match the DP as well. The bear is from The Stamp Fairy, and he is called Chubby Angel. All of Gerda's images are SOOOO CUTE, I fell in love the minute I saw them & have several in my collection already!!!! I added 3D Glittering Crystal paint to his wings as well.

Here is a close up of the paper pieced bear:

Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate it!! AND I appreciate your comments too!!! Please let me know you've popped in!!!! THANKS!!!!

Paper Sundaes challenge

OOOH squeeking this one in under the wire!!! The challenge at Paper Sundaes is DISTRESSING, so I thought I'd get a head start on some Christmas cards! Here is one using a CC Designs image. I went monochromatic for this one, not sure why! I used some paper I had in my Christmas stash, a MS snowflake punch and some bling. I wish you could see the ribbon better, it is sparkly!!! I love it!!!!

Thanks for stopping by! I am having a "snow day" - staying in today - spent the morning cleaning the house which desperately needed it, and now I get to play!!!! Wheeeee!!!!!

Designed2Delight challenge....

This weeks freebie at Designed2Delight is BEARS BIG GIFT. Isn't he adorable? You would have gotten him free if you joined last week, or you can buy him in the store to get next weeks freebie!

I paper pieced his boots and the present with some scraps I had that fit into my printer, and coloured the rest with Copics. I just read Faith's blog, and realized she suggested paper piecing with polka dots or plaid....this was totally coincidental that I used polka dots!!! HONEST!!! LOL

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!!

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge - Winter Wonderland

This week at Incy Wincy Designs Challenge Blog, the challenge is Winter Wonderland! Winter is SO NOT OVER here in Canada, so this is pretty appropriate still!! I got an email from my sister in Australia, and it was +40 C....and here it was -32 C....BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR SO NOT FAIR!!!! I wish I was on the other side of the globe where it is summer because I don't think Jack Frost is done tormenting us yet! So, here is a money holder card that I made for my nephew for Christmas...for his Australian money for their new adventure! I'd say "trip" but its not really a trip - the kids still have to go to school and my sister still has to work...lol.

Here is my card:

I used an image from Robyn's Fetish, our sponsor this week, and a sentiment I've had forever. The paper is SU and the snowflake punch is from Martha Stewart.

And the inside:

Head on over to the challenge blog and check out the rest of the DT's creations! I know Heather was struggling with this one because she is in Southern Australia and is in the middle of a heat wave (awwwww, poor Heather!! LOL) and couldn't get into the "winter" mood!!! LOL I hope you will all join us this week!!!

The Corrosive Challenge Blog....RECYCLE

This weeks challenge at The Corrosive Challenge blog is to RECYCLE! I decided to use one of these empty Prima flower tins and recover it. (Notice I said ONE OF THESE - I have SEVERAL!!! LOL) They are nice and big, and hold lots of little things - jewelery, trinkets, embellishments, coins, etc.

Since our sponsor this month is Kenny K, I decided to use MISS THANG, from the Glam Gang. I colored her with Copics then used my circle Nesties to cut her out to attach her to the top of the tin.

Here is a side view of the tin. The paper I used is from SU - Brilliant Blue DP.

Head on over to the challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT has created with RECYCLED materials!!! Always good for the environment and it is fun to use up things that can be useful and pretty!!! I hope you will join us this week! Have a GREAT day!
