Simon Says...Coffee & Cream

This week at Simon Says, we have an awesome challenge for you! If you head to the CHALLENGE BLOG, you will find out that the challenge this week is COFFEE & CREAM!!! Yup, a colour challenge!!! Yahooo!!!! I have used Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel CS (SU) and some ribbon I found on my rack that is coffee & cream colours! Yeahhh me for being a hoarder!!! LOL

The image is from Whiff of Joy, which our DT is showcasing (you don't have to use WOJ to enter the challenge though, but if you have them, why not?) This one is called CELEBRATING DONKEY and you can get him at Simon Says Stamp Superstore!!! I added crystal lacquer to the balloons for dimension too, and ran the Chocolate Chip CS through my swiss dots CB folder and the circles are my standard circle Nestabilities.

Simon Says....SPARKLE (& Heat Embossing if you dare!!!)

This week, the challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog is Sparkle & Heat Embossing!!! The Design Team are showcasing Whiff of Joy (WOJ) images that Simon Says Stamp sells, so go check out the GREAT selection!! You don't have to use a WOJ image but if you have them, why not show them some love??



Here is my card, using Maid Charlotte. The cardstock & ribbon is Kiwi Kiss, and the DP is from SU but not sure which paper pack (it was in my scraps bin!) The sentiment is heat embossed with pink EP and I added stickles around the image and sentiment and Hero Arts rhinestones on the flowers for some extra sparkle! Charlotte is coloured with Copics.

This is a Dustin Pike Image. The marshmallows are liquid applique.The DP is from SU! and he is coloured with Copics. The sentiment is from a sentiment set from Simon Says Stamps Exclusive sets!


This is a Whiff of Joy image that I received from a friend (Thanks Shana!!) and the DP is from Basic Grey (Nook & Pantry) available at Simon Says Stamp! The sentiment is from a Hero Arts cupcake set and the strawberry charm are both available from Simon Says Stamp as well!!!!

Corrosive Challenge..... Let's go to the movies!!!

This weeks challenge at the Corrosive Challenge Blog is LET'S GO TO THE MOVIES! So, you have to base your card or project on a movie theme! This one was easy & hard at the same time!!! I have so many movies that I like, but it was hard to pick just ONE!! LOL
I love this image from Whiff of Joy and when I coloured her, it reminded me of the beautiful red dresses & capes the ladies wore in "White Christmas". Since Christmas is coming up, I decided to base my card on that movie, which is one of my Mom's favourite movies! We used to sit & watch it EVERY year!!!!!

Simon Says.....SKETCH time!!!

This week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog is to use a sketch. We have a FABBY sketch by our very own LOVERLY Domi!! Thanks Domi - I LOVE this sketch!!!!

Here I used Musing Melinda, from Whiff of Joy (available at Simon Says Stamp) and some papers from SU. The cardstock is Melon Mambo and the DP is from the Razzleberry Lemonade series. I added pink flower, pink brads and pink buttons!!! I coloured Melinda with my Koh-i-noor pencils and gamsol, and added stickles to her pink wings!!! She looks so sweet sitting there!!!!

Last week we had ALMOST 200 participants again - think we can do it this week??? LET'S go for it and try!!! So come on everyone, I KNOW you love sketches!!!! I do!!! Takes the guess work on days when I can't think creatively!!!! And it is so fun to play around with different elements on the sketch! So, what are you waiting for?? GO PLAY!!! I can't wait to see what you create with this sketch!!!

Christmas Planners

I bought these journals from Michael's last year, hoping to cover them and sell them at the Farmer's Market. When I took off the cellophane, I realized there were Christmas images printed on each page...so I had to think of something FAST!

I decided to make a Christmas Planner notebook, somewhere people could make a list of people to buy gifts for, send Christmas cards to, wish lists, spending costs, what you bought for who (I do this cuz I ALWAYS forget!), etc. I hope it's a good idea?!?!?!

I also added some tabs so people could label them and attach them wherever they wanted - make it more personal. THAT was Tim's idea...isn't he smart? I was just going to attach them in random places in the journal!! The insides and outsides of both front & back cover are covered & the pen matches each journal. I take the journal completely apart, recover it, decorate it, then put it back together! My poor little fingers after taking the coils off of these ones!!! LOL

This is Christmas Moose from Rachelle Anne Miller. I don't actually own this stamp but someone sent me a bunch of images so I thought I would use one cuz he is soooo cute!!!!

The paper is called Snowed In from My Mind's Eye and the image is Lizzie with Muff by Whiff of Joy. Again, this is an image that was sent to me, I don't actually own this stamp!

This is Melinda Christmas Angel. I DO own this stamp - LOL..... The paper is some retired SU stuff - can't remember the name of it though, sorry!! The rest of the paper is Purely Pomegranate, a colour I miss - wish it didn't retire!!! booo hoooooo

More paper from Snowed In by My Mind's Eye. I added stickles to the die cut tree at the top and a snowflake brad to the tag. No stamping on this one, the paper was too pretty to cover up!!!! I love that bird!!!!

Whiff of Joy Design Team Call

Ok, here I go again....an entry for another DT call. This one is for a 2 month stint on Whiff of Joy's DT. If you are interested you should hurry on over there - it ends March 5!

I used an image someone sent me of Melinda - I don't own this stamp but it is on my wish list! I have a few WOJ stamps & I just got the Spring Kit in the mail last week. I haven't even inked them up yet cuz I don't have any EZ Mount (it's on its way!)

I used Perfect Plum & Rose Red CS, and Basic Grey "euphoria" DP. This card is 5x5.

A few more random cards

I was playing around with my Nesties - curved rectangle set & came up with this card. I just love this House Mouse - it is SO how I feel most days at work!!!! Inside it says "Don't ask, it's been one of those days!" LOL

Another House Mouse card - this image was sent to me from Lena, from SCS - she sent me a whole SCHWACK of HM images....can't wait to colour them all!!! I made this one for my niece, she LOVES pigs!!! I added Crystal Effects on the bottle to give it dimension, stickles to the flowers and my sakura gelly pen to the handle of the bucket.

This is Jack - he is Mimi's friend from Pink Gem Designs in the UK. I just checked out their website and they have some CUTE stamps!!!! Hmmmmmmmmmm

Another one with Willow - nothing fancy about this one, I was just in a Riding Hood Red/Bella Rose kick and this is another one I made!!

Some new cards - just for fun!!!

I now have a few extra cards on hand JUST IN CASE!!!! I got new stamps yesterday from Phebe at The Town Scrapper in Ontario. She is the only one in Canada selling these stamps from Pink Gem Designs in the UK. This first one is Mimi and Snowman, and I used a Z fold. The snow is Glittering Crystal 3D paint - it is similar to Liquid Applique and way cheaper! I coloured them with Copics.


This is Winter Mimi, from Pink Gem Designs too. Coloured with Copics too!
Here is Willow again, from Whiff of Joy. The snowflakes are embossed with Iridescent Ice (SU) and Willow is coloured with Copics. I added some Crystal Effects to her mug to make it shiny.

Just when you think you're done,.....

You remember a ton of other people to send cards to!! OY!!!!

I made this one for a good friend - but I can't tell you who cuz it's in the mail on it's way to her!!!! I hope you love it!!! This is Willow with hot chocolate, from Whiff of Joy...my first WOJ stamp & it is great!! It is deeply etched rubber and so fun to colour!!!!

Another Tilda scene card! The background scene is from The Stampin Place - they have GREAT stamps too, lots of fun background stamps that work SO well with my beloved Magnolias!!! This is a new Tilda from the Christmas collection - Tilda with bell!! LOL

I'm going to make about 10 more cards to have on hand in case I've forgotten anyone else!! You see, what happens is...every year I say "I'm not sending Christmas cards this year" but I end up deciding at the last minute to do it, then I make a half-assed list in my head and forget all the important people....then I make a REAL list and realize that the gazillion I've already made, aren't enough!!! UGH!!! LOL It's a good thing I LOVE making cards!!!
