Spinner cards

I had SO much fun making these - I giggled the whole time!!! My idea first came when I sat down with my "Frogs Jumping for Joy" set by Simon Says Stamp to make some Design Team cards. I wanted a way to make the frog appear to be "jumping for joy" - and then it hit me...I remembered seeing a card that had something that "rolled" across the front - NO idea what they were called so I sifted through all the tutorials until I found it!!! The SCS instructions were confusing so I did a Google search and found a tutorial here - much easier to follow!!! Anyways - I had FUN!!!!

Here is the first one I made - not 100% happy with the front, but it was the test project!! BUT I had to show you cuz the frog actually JUMPS across the card!!! I wish I knew how to do a video but if you've ever made one of these, you know what I mean!!!

And the next one I made, just cuz!!!

Thanks for looking!! I head back to work on Monday so my crafting time will be less but I will still be around!!!! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Our handsome boy

I took these photos yesterday when Brick and I were hanging out. It was so beautiful out, we went for a long walk and played in the snow!! He LOVES the snow, until his feet get so cold he wimps out & wants to go home!!! Tried booties, but he won't keep them on!!!! Sound like anyone's kids???? LOL BOYS!!!!
Frosty Face!!! He roots in the snow trying to find his stick or frisbee - because it was so cold, all his slobber froze in little icicles on his eyelashes and whiskers! Sooo cute!!!
I was a bit warm scraping the ice off the steps and front walk so I wrapped my scarf around his neck - I think he looks so DAPPER - LOL!!!
Here, he just looks ANNOYED!!!! But dang, he is a cute dog - despite his peepee on the floor fetish!!! ARGHHH!!!!
Have a great day everyone!

Roses on Paper challenge cards

The Roses on Paper challenge blog put out a sketch challenge and it looked like a fun one.
Go HERE and check it out & play along - you have until Jan. 4!!! Anyways, here are my two submissions for the challenge: (the third isn't a submission.....read why beside the dragon card) ALL are coloured with copics.
The sentiment is from Verve Visuals set called "Beautiful You", the paper is SU - cameo coral, but not sure which series the DP - it was in my unmarked stash! This card is 5 1/4 inch square.
I made a boy birthday card to have on hand using the sketch too. This is a regular A2 size card. The paper and ribbon are SU, but the buttons are from CTMH, and the sentiment is from Verve Visuals set called Thoughtful Phrases. I'm not sure I will qualify for this one as I didn't put an embellie in the top right corner - but I didn't want to as it seemed too crowded already! Oh well!!!
This card isn't an entry because I didn't use the right stamps, but that's ok, I think he is cute anyway & I like the sketch. The dragon is ACE from High Hopes. I used the ROP sketch too, and added some buttons.

Thanks for looking!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!! I hope you all had a fun, safe New Years Eve. Tim & I had a quiet night at home, watched "The Assassination of Jesse James" in front of the fireplace, and went to bed early! LOL

**Blog Candy Alert - I will be giving away blog candy when I hit my 300th POST!!!!! I think I am at 275 right now with this one!!!! More details coming soon!!!! **

Card submissions for Kelly's Design Team

My friend Kelly has a new stamping and scrapbooking store - HERE - and she is looking for Design Team members to help her out with some samples! Here are my submissions for it, I hope you like them Kel!!! You really should check out her store - she has GREAT deals, lowest prices I've seen on a lot of things and she is always throwing a deal or two your way!!!
I paper pieced Tilda's dress to match the DP. I distressed and sponged all the edges with Chocolate Chip, and added stickles to the rose. I think she is so pretty with her little pony tail!!
This was the Christmas card I gave my DH using Tilda and Edwin kissing. I popped out the mistletoe and Tilda & Edwin, then added some Christmas primas.

Here is Tilda with a newspaper - I envisioned her with her newspaper & Tim Hortons coffee, off to a job interview. I used Chocolate Chip and Purely Pomegranate paper & ribbon. The DP is SU, Berry Bliss I think, but not sure cuz it was in my scraps bin. The ribbon slide is from CTMH - chipboard slide that I coloured with copic marker R59 & then added stickles.
I took Kissing Tilda & Edwin and made a lovey dovey card - Valentines Day, Anniversary, or just cuz I love you card! I used Chocolate Chip and pink pirouette cardstock and the DP is from my scrap stash. The heart punches are from the new SU heart punch that I got with the Love you much bundle.
I popped them out and sat them on the ribbon, and decorated the inside with some more pink heart punches.

And the last one for my Design Team try outs - an anniversary card for some friends! I used purple and blue to match the Paisley paper (Making Memories) and used my heart nesties. I'm not crazy about the white lines in their hair - I was TRYING to add highlights - guess I need to work on that!!! LOL (ignore that part!!!)

I hope you like these Kel!! I'm sure you have a tough job ahead of you to decide!!!!

Baking Tilda

I was using up some more of those card kits from my workshops and this was one of them - a shaker card using the CD envelopes. The inside of the shaker is the kitchen background from The Stampin Place, coloured with Copics. Baking Tilda is popped out on the front. Inside the card is little flower confetti.
