Another farewell....

There is going to be a few of these in the next little while!!!! I have 4 to make for sure that I know of!!! Sad, when we have such a small staff!!!
This card is a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock folded in half so we can all sign it!!! I used an image from Spesch Digi stamps called Kei with flower, isn't she cute? I wanted a hint of another colour so I added some purple behind the sentiment to match the flower! Lots of gems on here to give it some sparkle!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Farewell....

It is that time of year again, when teachers start moving schools and getting other jobs! I tend to make the cards for those who are leaving us, so here is one of them that I made. The entire staff has to sign them, so it is an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet folded in half. This teacher loves birds, so I hope she likes this card! The images are from CC Designs, and it is a set called Olivia's Birdies. The papers are all from my stash, as are the flowers and ribbon!

I am entering this into the Spoonful of Sugar challenge this week, which is celebrations. I think this card is a celebration type card, don't you?

I am also entering this into Digital Tuesday Challenge because their theme is CUTE PEOPLE...and I certainly think Olivia is cute!!!

Thanks for looking! Don't forget to come back later today to see who the winner is of my Fabulous Friday Freebie draw!!!!

Simon Says.....Colour Challenge!!!

This weeks challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog is a colour challenge. We would like you to use Pink (or Blue), Green & Brown. This week the Design Team is showcasing Penny Black - you don't have to use Penny Black but if you have them, why not ink 'em up?? This is RAMBLING ROSE and you can buy her at Simon Says Stamp Superstore.

I used pink foil paper on a pink card base, then I layered green under the image and used a brown ribbon across the card. The flowers I used are from the clearance section at Michael's and I am almost out...... booo hooo!!! BUT, I have a whole bunch of great colours coming in my order from Simon Says, so I'll be ok!!! LOL Those butterflies are from Simon Says too..they are Jenni Bowlin 3 D embellished butterflies - aren't they pretty?? You get 5 in a pack for $3.99....HECK OF A DEAL!!!! AND they come in different colours!!!! I also used my Martha Stewart branch punch which I ALSO got at Simon Says!!! Can you tell I shop there a LOT?? LOL....I do!! I love it, great products, great people, great service!!!! Can't beat that anywhere!!!!

Housewarming card for my nephew....

This card is for my nephew, who just bought his first house, at the age of 20! What a feat!!! He is a welder and finished school and saved up enough for a down payment! Gosh I remember when he was little - puking grape pop all over my bathroom!!! LOL

The image is a Shy Bear from Squigglefly and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. I coloured it all with Copics and added some crystal lacquer to the mirror, tail light, the birds eyes, the lamp and the light on top of the truck. The paper is Denim cardstock from Michael's - I think it is called the Paper Factory, and the DP is SU!

Have a great week!

Karen's Doodles UK challenge....

This weeks challenge at Karen's Doodles UK blog is to make it MASCULINE. I needed a 40th birthday card for my cousin's husband so I thought this image of Bigsby and Herbert was perfect! It is called Bigsby the King! I coloured it all with Copics, then used crystal lacquer and glitter for their crowns...it gave it a neat dimension, and of course I have glitter EVERYWHERE!!!! LOL I used Real Red as the card base and the DP is some stuff I had in my stash! The sentiment was made on the computer. I used At You Spica pens for the flowers and leaves.

Here is the inside:

I hope this is masculine enough!! Wish me luck!!!!!

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge.....BUTTON UP!!!

The Incy Wincy Designs Challenge blog has a great challenge for you this week....USE BUTTONS on your project! I LOVE BUTTONS!!!!! I had to walk away from about 9 large pickle jars FULL of buttons at a Garage Sale on Sat....LOL...that was probably close to 10,000 buttons!!! LMAO Tim would have killed me!!!! Here is my card for this week. I used the 3D Penguin, which is available from Asprire to Thrive shop. These 3 D sheets are amazingly cool - you get the image, plus anywhere from 3-10 pieces to layer - like decoupage!!! So much fun!!!! Go check out the GREAT selection they have!!!

Here is a side view to show the layers....it looks really cool in real life!!! HONEST!!!!

I used a black card base and layered bashful blue and white to create a "winter" feel! The white layer is dry embossed with the Snowflake folder for my Cuttlebug!! I attached sparkly blue ribbon and a snowflake charm (which I got at Simon Says Stamp), buttons with silver thread, and blue rhinestones (also from Simon Says!). I coloured the penguin with Copics.

Thanks for looking! I hope you head over to the Incy Wincy blog to join us this week!!! The prize is $10 to the Aspire to Thrive shop - so YOU can get your own 3D images to play with !!! HOW FUN!!!!!!

Have a great week!!!! Today is a holiday in Canada, so I'm going to enjoy the day with my dogs and Tim. Back to work tomorrow!!!!
