More Hanglar & Stanglar kids

I was on a roll with my new Hanglar & Stanglar stamps! Here are 2 more I created. This first one uses a Mojo Monday sketch from awhile back (I can't remember which one, sorry!) and I just flipped it. I used Elegant Eggplant CS and Almost Amethyst DP. I coloured her using my Copics - I experimented with giving her black hair, and I think it turned out alright! Does anyone have any tips for making black hair? Isn't she precious?

This one is a small 4 1/2 " square card I made for my sister to thank her for coming to Great Falls with me! I know she is holding a bird house and I put butterflies on the card instead of birds...whoops!! Oh well!!!! She is still cute eh??

Thanks for stopping by! AND THANKS AGAIN CHRISTINA, you are an ANGEL!!!!!! Big hugs!!!! ;-)

Squigglefly WELCOME BABY set

Wow, what a fun set!! And a great bargain! You get 15 digital images for $9.99 - you CANNOT beat that anywhere!!!!! Head over to Squigglefly and check it out HERE. And if you haven't tried Digital Images yet..you REALLY should!!! Squigglefly has 2 free downloads to try before you buy, so you have NO excuse!!!!
Not crazy about this card but Tim likes it, so I decided to post it. I'm not sure what it is - just not a "wow" card like I was hoping for!!!! The card base is a pre-made one from a box I got at Michael's EONS ago! Trying to USE up what I have!!!

I used my Baby Words cuttlebug folder for the background on this card. The little chipboard tag was bought on my shopping trip - from JoAnns - a whole little bag of them for $1! Can't go wrong with that either!!! LOL I am SO sad that Canada doesn't have a JoAnns or Hobby Lobby.....we are SOOOO ripped off in the craft store department!!!

I enlarged these blocks so that Baby Tingla could sit on them (the FUN of having digi images!) - I had a vision in my head how I wanted this card to turn out & this wasn't it!!! LOL It's ok, not my favourite! The DP is from an old pack I've had forever.
It's Monday, back to work for another busy week!!! Sigh!!!!! IF only I could share the "hassles" that are going on at work, but I can only say it is stressful and is making me want to work at a car wash for the rest of my life!! LOL I know it will get better, just right now it is extra stressful!!! UGH!!!! Ahhhh, enough of my belly-achin'....have a great week!!!!! Hope to have more to post for you tomorrow or Wed.
Thanks for stopping by!!!! I LOVE your comments & I do try to get to your blog if you leave me a comment, although the last couple weeks I haven't been so diligent!!! I will get better, I promise!!!!

Hanglar & Stanglar LOVE

I love love love these cuties! This girl is from the H&S Spring Kit that I received as a gift from a FABULOUS lady, Christina (Hi Christina!!!) - it's nice to have connections!!! LOL

The stamps in this kit are very cute and I couldn't wait to ink them up!!!

The sketch I used is from the Just Magnolias challenge blog last week or the week before, but I liked it so I wanted to use it!

The plaid DP is from My Mind's Eye - I had been hoarding it, and thought she would look really cute in a plaid dress! Her dress & hat are paper pieced. The sentiment is an epoxy sticker from Fiskars that I got on my shopping trip! I added a shiny red mini brad to her dress and a couple primas to tie in all the colours of the DP. The rest of her is coloured with copics.

Thanks for dropping in!! I was busy yesterday creating, so I will have more to show you tomorrow!!! And then a couple things I made for the Simon Says Challenge that I can't show you right away until we reveal the NEW challenge!!!

BUT, you still have time to get something made for the Simon Says...RECYCLE challenge - which doesn't end until April 29th! AND, you can win a $25 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp too...so hurry and get creating!!!! Go check it out - we'd love to see what creative ways you can recycle items!!!

Thanks for popping by!!!! Leave me a comment and let me know you were here!!!! Have a great Sunday!!!

Inky Impressions

I received my images from Nicole at Inky Impressions to make a card for the next step in her Design Team call and a sketch to follow (SCS 218). I sat down last night and made this card. It is very simple, not many embellies, so that must have been the mood I was in...simple and clean! I hope you like it!

So, isn't that image ADORABLE???????? I cannot wait to see the entire line - I've seen a couple of the girls and they are CUTE CUTE CUTE too! Shouldn't be long now - wheeeeeeeeeee!!!! Stay tuned to her website for the release of her brand new line of stamps!!!! Angelica & LiLi will be sure to steal your heart!!!!
The paper I used is all Crate paper from the Twirl collection (I think that is what it is called) but I bought that at Simon Says Stamp, so go check that out!!!!
Thanks for popping by! One more day till the weekend!!!

My goodies from shopping

FINALLY got off my butt and took the pics off my camera from my shopping trip to Great Falls!!

This first picture has some of the cool alterable containers I bought - the Tootsie Roll and Double Bubble containers are piggy banks. I bought 6 of those mugs - thought I could stamp them up and put stuff in them for little end of the year gifts for some of the ladies at work. The BIG clothespin clips are so cute too, I only bought 3 of those! LOL AND those little suitcases...omg, can you see it? It is soooo cute!!!!! I think I bought 3 of those too!! ALL of those things were only $1!! WHEEEE!!!!! The other things are all from JoAnns in the $1 section.

The lighting was terrible that day so these pics aren't so great - sorry! Here is batch #2 of the stuff I bought.....

some scrapbooking stickers/embellishments, rhinestones, metal dots, epoxy stickers, 2 DCWV packs of paper, ribbon, 2 suitcases to alter and buttons, tags, chipboard..........

Here is the 3rd batch of goodies...... I finally broke down and bought the rest of my Ranger Alcohol ink things I need to get started....at more than 1/2 the price they sell them here, how could I NOT???

more scrapbooking stuff, rhinestones, brads, charms - can you see those summer charms at the bottom...OMG, they are sooooooooo cute!!!!!!

NOW, if only I had time to create!! This week has been so busy - I only made 1 card (show you that tomorrow!!)

Here is a touristy picture we took...LOL...just to prove we were there and did something BESIDES shop.......

AND, a picture of the bags of STUFF we bought!!! LOL That is my sister! There was about 6 bags of stuff in the car already that we didn't bring up and 2 cases of beer!!!! LOL So, we had a pretty good haul!!!!

I wish we had taken a pic of the car loaded down when we got it all in!!!! My sister had to buy another duffle bag!!! LOL Anyways, it was a really fun trip - disappointed that Ben Franklin's was closed down, but had fun in JoAnn's for my first ever time!!!!! VERY disappointed in the Dollar selection at Target too!!! Ahhh welllll!!!!!

Have a great night!!!

Tilda hangin' out!

Here is a very simple layout of Tilda hangin out on the couch! When I met Tim, he had a couch in almost the same pattern, except it was DUSTY ROSE! And it had a huge grease stain across the top from where all their heads laid. GROSS EH?? LOL

Anyways, the papers are all from HAIKU, an SU series of papers. I paper pieced the couch and distressed all the edges and inked them with Chocolate Chip ink. Tilda is coloured with Copics.
Thanks for hangin out in my blog!!!

Gift set

I made this gift set last week as part of the Housewarming gift for my brother and his GF. There are 4 cards exactly the same, the card satchel and matching envelopes. I used Bareback, an SU set that I love!!!! And they are horse people so they will love it! The DP I used is Outlaw from SU. I distressed all the edges of all the papers.....my fingers are GROSS!!! LOL

Here is a close up of the card.

Here is the satchel and the envelopes. The satchel closes with a piece of velcro, the button is just there for looks!!!

Housewarming card - PARTY ANIMALS!!!!

Remember back in college, when a "housewarming" party really meant a "get drunk and trash the house" party? I never did that but I know people who did - they were never invited to my house!! LOL

Anyways, this card was made for my brother and his GF who are in the process of building their dream house on some acreage outside of Edmonton, Alberta. I am SO jealous, but so happy for both of them!!! It is going to be beautiful!!!
I used 3 of the High Hopes new releases which were farm animals and OH SO CUTE!!!!! I even used my STAMPAMAJIG!!! Yahhh me...I never use it unless I absolutely HAVE to!!!! So, cow is balancing on donkey and goat is dancing under cow.....don't they look like they are having a BLAST??? LOL
My sister and I must have spent about 45 minutes in the card aisle at Wal Mart listening to all the cards and dancing - this card plays "Celebrate" by Kool and the Gang (remember that song?? love it!) and it WAS a birthday card. I just covered the front and the inside with my own cardstock to match the colours of the base and VOILA - my very own singing card!!! LOL
Here is the inside sentiment I typed on the computer...it is totally cheesy but it fits so well with the animals, don't ya think? LMAO HORSE is supposed to be crossed out!! LOL

So the gift we bought them to go with this is a HUGE Cowboy boot planter and a plant (not bought yet, I will wait until they are actually IN their house before we do that cuz I might kill it!) Seriously, this cowboy boot is HUGE, like 24 inches tall and about 12 inches long. Tim was so embarassed when I was walking through the store with it...LOL...I love it! It fits their personalities and the decor of their house so perfectly!!!!
Thanks for visiting...I should be home from my shopping trip tonight sometime so will post tomorrow - maybe with some pics of the goodies I bought....wheeeeeeee!!!!

Tilda by the pond

I used 3 different Magnolia stamps to create this scene - a summer background, the log and of course Tilda. This is for the April Mingle on the Yahoo Group I run the activities for. The recipe was to use 3 flowers, 2 ribbons and 1 button. Challenging, and I thought of it...LOL Not sure who it is going to yet, but hope they like it!!!

Simon Says.......RECYCLE!!

This week it is my turn to choose the theme for the challenge over at Simon Says Challenge Blog, so head on over there to read more and to enter your card!!! The theme for this challenge is to RECYCLE!! Use something on your project that has been recycled - packaging, ribbon from an old chocolate box, a piece of fabric from a favourite pair of jeans, bubble wrap, buttons from old shirts, cookie tins, cello wrap, etc. Here is the card I made:

I used a ribbon from an old chocolate box and a button from an old shirt that went into the rag bin. The thread inside the button was found on the floor in the basement...LOL (yes, I need to vacuum) ...I'm sure it was on SOMETHING!!!!! Thanks for looking, now head on over there and check it out!!!! Thanks for your comments!!! They DO make my day!!!
