HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!!

Another challenge entry...woo hoooo! Look at me go!!!! LOL

I am entering this card in the "IT must be the MUSIC" challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz blog.

This image - Lady Victoria - was inspired by "My Immortal" by Evanescence.  I think this girl looks like Amy Lee, and it is one of my favourite songs!   I have coloured her with Copics & AT you Spica pens.  When I showed Tim this image & asked him what song he thought of, he said "Bow, chicka, bow bow"  (LOL) What a dirty dog eh????

The CS is Hero Arts layering paper and the flowers, ribbon & rhinestones are from my stash. The CS is from My Minds Eye - a beautiful life paper pack.

Sassy Studio challenge entry......

Well, I must say I LOVE rainy Sundays!!!!  I got to play in a couple challenges that I haven't in a long time! This weeks challenge at DARE TO BE SASSY is monochromatic yellow!!!

So I printed up Flapper Femme, from Sassy Studios  and set to work with all sorts of shades of yellow!!!! Monochromatic cards ARE my favourite, I try to get out of that "box" but I love them!!!!!  And when I'm told too, how can I resist???? I'm not crazy about her hair colour, but I love her yellow flapper dress!!!!  What an era - I would have loved to have lived then!!!  How fun!!!!

I coloured her with Copics and used a yellow crochet flower that I bought from Etsy awhile ago.  The ribbon is from my stash!  The CS is Bazzill and the DP is ???????????  (Guess is as good as mine!!! LOL)

I am also entering this in the Totally Gorjuss challenge which is Something Yellow! (thanks for the heads up Samantha!!!)

Love to Create - ANYTHING GOES!!

Good morning everyone!!! Happy Monday!!!!!

Here is my card for the week!

I have used FERGUS with bouquet from Wild Rose Studio.  I got this stamp from Care2Stamp, so be sure to check it out! Tell Kim I sent you!!!!!   

The CS is Taken with Teal (SU) and the DP is from a card kit I have had for EONS (I THINK it is My Minds Eye but not 100% sure!)  I thought I'd make a more masculine card in case I ever need one!!!  I have coloured him with Copics.  I am experimenting with outlining my images with grey to stand them out a bit...not sure if I'm doing it right, or if it looks how it is supposed to look, but I'm trying! Any pointers????

Incy Wincy Designs - Anything GOES!!!

I have made a chipboard album using a kit from BO BUNNY (Fall Family) that I have had sitting on my shelf for about 2 years!  I finally decided to use it & I'm glad I did, I love it!!!!!

These was lots of distressing, sanding and inking so I definitely got MESSY!!!!!  I bound the album together with organza ribbon - not sure its the ideal binding method but it sure looks pretty!!!!

SUMMER challenge entry!

Happy Sunday! I LOVE Rainy weekends! I get so much accomplished!!!!! I am entering this card into the challenge at  Just Magnolia - which is Summer colours. I am entering this into the Corrosive Challenge blog too, which is Summertime Girls!   AND LASTLY, I am entering this into Addicted to Stamps which is a sketch (I just flipped it!)

 I have used Chasing Tilda from the Chasing Butterflies collection (2009).  The CS is from Bazzille and the DP is from my stash! I just love bright orange and yellow - it makes me happy!!!!  The 3D butterfly is from my EK Success layering butterfly punch! I added some small red pearls to the butterfly, some flowers, ribbon & a pearl - all from my stash!

I have had to make several baby cards in the last couple weeks, so thought I would enter this one into a couple challenges.

Ooh La La Creations' challenge is BABY, BABY!

I am also entering this into Crafty Creations challenge, which is BABY also.  

Stampavie and More challenge is Something with Wings. 

I have used BARRY ANGEL from The Stamp Fairy & coloured him with Copics.  I added 3D Glittering Crystal paint to the cloud and Stickles to his wings.  The CS is Brilliant Blue (SU) and the DP is from DCWV - Nana's Kids.  The sentiment is from an old SU set that fits my scallop circle punch. 

It's Thursday, and that means I have only 6 days of teaching left until Summer vacation! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!   I SO need this break!!!!!

Doodle Dragon challenge entry

Hey everyone!!! I had a little time tonight to play in the Doodle Dragon Challenge this week! It is ALL TIED UP!!!  I wanted a simple Birthday card for a guy so I chose Dudley in his canoe!  The paper is from SPLASH - Echo Park.  I coloured Dudley with chalks and Copics- I wish you could see the shimmer in the water and the sky!  I finished it off with a piece of twine - more manly than ribbon I think!!!!

Sad day for me...

Hi everyone!  For the past 3 years, EVERY Wednesday I have had a Simon Says.... post!  Today is the first Wednesday that I am no longer on the DT and I am sadder than I ever thought I would be.  Simon has become a family to me and I will miss the DT terribly!!! 

I started buying from Simon Says Stamp when they were just a small ebay store - about 8 or 9 years ago I think!  It IS my one and only shop!!!  Heidi & I became fast friends and I felt part of the family.  I am fortunate to have been able to be part of the team for 3 years, and I know change is a good thing, but never easy!  It has been a lot of fun, I have learned a LOT and have challenged myself with things I may have never tried! So for that, I say THANKS!

I wish all the new girlies well...enjoy your time on the team, it is the best team in blogland!
