Christmas Planners

I bought these journals from Michael's last year, hoping to cover them and sell them at the Farmer's Market. When I took off the cellophane, I realized there were Christmas images printed on each page...so I had to think of something FAST!

I decided to make a Christmas Planner notebook, somewhere people could make a list of people to buy gifts for, send Christmas cards to, wish lists, spending costs, what you bought for who (I do this cuz I ALWAYS forget!), etc. I hope it's a good idea?!?!?!

I also added some tabs so people could label them and attach them wherever they wanted - make it more personal. THAT was Tim's idea...isn't he smart? I was just going to attach them in random places in the journal!! The insides and outsides of both front & back cover are covered & the pen matches each journal. I take the journal completely apart, recover it, decorate it, then put it back together! My poor little fingers after taking the coils off of these ones!!! LOL

This is Christmas Moose from Rachelle Anne Miller. I don't actually own this stamp but someone sent me a bunch of images so I thought I would use one cuz he is soooo cute!!!!

The paper is called Snowed In from My Mind's Eye and the image is Lizzie with Muff by Whiff of Joy. Again, this is an image that was sent to me, I don't actually own this stamp!

This is Melinda Christmas Angel. I DO own this stamp - LOL..... The paper is some retired SU stuff - can't remember the name of it though, sorry!! The rest of the paper is Purely Pomegranate, a colour I miss - wish it didn't retire!!! booo hoooooo

More paper from Snowed In by My Mind's Eye. I added stickles to the die cut tree at the top and a snowflake brad to the tag. No stamping on this one, the paper was too pretty to cover up!!!! I love that bird!!!!

Simon Says....ORIENTAL

This week at Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog, our theme is ORIENTAL. I just got 2 great sets from Simon Says Stamp that are so cute! I've had a lot of fun using them!! Here is a notebook I made using "Oh Happy Day Asian Flair" Cute hey?? I paper pieced the boys outfit and the girls outfit with matching paper. The DP is called Green Tea from SU (I think it is retired) I added a dragonfly charm for extra GOOD LUCK! The pen matches the journal too. You can purchase this stamp set at Simon Says Stamp!!!

Baptism card

I made this card awhile ago, and figured I should probably post it. It is a CASE from a card on SCS - I can't remember who's card though!

I used a Stampin Up set called Special Blessing. The paper is Shimmery white and Pink Pirouette. The ribbons are pink taffeta & a white organza. There is a little pink cross charm made out of some kind of shell, attached to the ribbon - but it is really hard to see against the pink paper! It's there, I promise! Very simple and pretty for a baby girls baptism!

Whoa....blurry picture or what?? Sorry bout that...not sure what happened there!!! LOL

I made this card awhile ago, just haven't had time to post it! I used Tilda with Bee - which you can get at Simon Says Stamp, AND the sentiment is an EXCLUSIVE Simon Says Stamp set called Simply the Best Sentiments. The paper is from SU - not sure the series..... Jersey Shore maybe?!?!?! Anyone know??

sniff, sniff....I smell something funky.......

I made this card for my sister to give to a co-worker who is struggling with a family of skunks living under her deck! She wanted something with a skunk & I instantly remembered this set of skunks from TAC that I had NEVER inked up!!! OmG eh???

Nothing too fancy on this cards, some bling and a some flowers, and a charm. I coloured the flowers with a blender pen & Groovy Guava ink (to match the DP)

Inside it says "Hope your day is stinkin' big" which is a sentiment from Cute Critters from Clear Dollar Stamps.

Anniversary Birds

An anniversary card I made for my parents in August...they have been married for 55 years....crazyyyy!!!!! I used "Anniversary Birds" from Verve Stamps - I totally forgot I had this set, and I'm SO glad I pulled it out!!!! The little heart charm is from Michael's (in the wedding section!)

Now, my project for today!!!! I bought these gift card tins from Michael's for $1.50 & they sat in my "box of alterables" for a VERY long time! I needed a gift card holder so I thought I'd pull one of these out and cover it. I tried using Ranger Alcohol Inks on it, but the inks weren't dark enough to cover the pattern that was on the top so I covered it with paper and ribbon along the sides. It was a first trial of covering this type of tin, and I'm not 100% happy with it, but I think the next one will be better! I used Tangerine Tango DP & CS and Tilda with Sunflower is coloured with Copics.

Inside the tin is a little plastic insert that holds the gift card.

Simon Says....Heidi's Choice challenge

About a month ago, Heidi sent the entire Design Team a box of goodies for us to use in a challenge of her choice! Everything inside was so right up my alley, so my style and was very well thought out! I loved EVERYTHING inside & I couldn't WAIT to get started on something for this challenge!!!! I've already used several things from the box for previous projects!!! LOL (I couldn't help myself!!!)
