Janet's Corrosive Challenge #22

This week over at Corrosive Challenges Blog, the challenge was to make a project that was JEM inspired. For those of you who grew up in the 80s you will know who JEM is!!!! I love the 80s - the music, the TV, cartoons, the clothes (ok, maybe not so much the clothes - LOL), and the innocence of life!!!For this card I used a digital image from Squigglefly called Disco Daze & I GLAMMED her up!!!! LOL I used stickles galore and wild colours to match the DP! Wish I looked this good in glitter!!! LOL Inside it says.... "Dance like no one is watching"
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!! Have a great week!!!

Mini Album

I got this mini chipboard album at Michaels in the $1.50 bin a few weeks ago. I'm not sure what possessed me to work on this, when I had a million other things to do...but I like how it turned out. I used Cosmo Cricket paper called Honey Pie for all the pages. There are 10 pages in total. I didn't "fruff" it up much so it could be used for a boy or girl album, although maybe the butterflies and flowers might make it more girlie. I am going to try to sell it at the Farmers Market next week! Wish me luck!!!

Anyway, here are a few of the pages.

The other pages I didn't take pictures of are decorated in a similar fashion!!! I traced the shape, cut out the paper, glued it down using Tombow Mono Multi glue, sanded the edges then distressed them with Chocolate Chip ink. I did that for ALL 10 pages!!! Completely destroyed my sanding block.....oops!!! LOL Ahhh well, it was worth it!!! What do you think??
THANKS for popping by!! Have a great week!!

Inky Impressions Challenge - MASK IT!!!

This weeks challenge over at Inky Impressions Blog is to MASK IT! We are to make a scene using the masking technique. I think masking was one of the first techniques I ever learned. I started out using post it notes then I broke down and bought some Eclipse Masking Tape which I like using - I just don't use it enough! So this challenge was perfect for dusting it off and putting it to good use!!!

We would love it if you would join us in this challenge so head on over to the INKY IMPRESSIONS CHALLENGE BLOG and check out what the other Inspirational Inkettes have created for you to see & join us! If you don't have any Inky Impressions stamps, head to the STORE to get yourself some!!!! You will be happy you did!!!!!

I masked Angelica onto the swing - I think she looks so cute sitting here waiting for her friend to meet her at the park. After I took this photo, I realized it needed some sky in the background so I chalked in some sky and clouds. I love her little pink sneakers!!!!

Paper: Kiwi Kiss; Green Tea DP

Ink: Copics; Kiwi kiss

Stamps: Angelica's Heart Socks (Inky Impressions); Swing (Magnolia)

Accessories: prima flowers; rhinestones; sakura gelly roll pen

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are all having a SUPER week!!!!! Remember head on over to the blog to check out the other FABULOUS creations!!!!!

You are special to me....

Somehow, I thought this sketch was from last week but apparently I am about 10 sketches behind!!! LOL I am not sure how that happened, but I like this sketch regardless!!!! I made this card using SC224 from SCS. I used Pink Pirouette for my base and EVA paper from Basic Grey (my 2 fave colours!!!) and they coincidentally matched LiLi which I had coloured a few days before making this! This is LiLi's Prayer from Inky Impressions. Isn't she ADORABLE? I think she is in my TOP 10 faves!!! LOL

So, click on the INKY IMPRESSIONS blinky and head over to the store to see the rest of the LiLi and Angelica stamps that are available...they are to die for!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute!!!!!

I added a little charm I picked up at Michael's in the wedding section (I got a TON of great things in that area!!!) and some rhinestones from my stash!!! I coloured her with my Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol - my favourite way to colour these little cuties!!!

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!!!

Simon Says.....Summer Fruits!

I LOVE summer, and nothing beats the fresh fruit you can buy in the summer! So, to honour that, the challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp is to make a card or project using summer fruits or summer fruit COLOURS. I decided to pull out my House Mouse stamps - they were getting a little dusty (I know....SHOCK!!) & I forgot how much I love these little guys!!!!! AND, I wanted to make something different so I made another A2 card box - this time I filled it with cards! It was so easy and soooo fun!!!! This is the second one I made!!! LOL (see earlier Inky Impressions post!)

Here is the whole package - inside are 4 cards & 4 envelopes.

Here is the top of the box:

And the 4 cards that are inside the box:

A stitch in time.... Inky Impressions Challenge

The challenge this week at the Inky Impressions Challenge blog is A Stitch in Time...... you can use real stitching or faux stitching on your project.

I made an A2 box - the tutorial is on SCS and it was really easy!!! I love it, makes a great gift!!!! So, here is my project, an A2 box full of BLING!! This gift is going to someone who reads my blog, so I can't say who it is for (shhhhhhhhhhhhh!!)

Here is the top view:

I used faux stitching because I am too chicken to thread up this little mini provo craft sewing machine that I have - 3 people have told me how hard it is to thread, and so it sits on my shelf!!! UGH!!! Any tips on threading this little baby??? LOL

And - the side view so you can see the pretty little scallops & butterflies!!

PLEASE join us over at Inky Impressions Challenge Blog for this week's challenge! We would LOVE to see what you can stitch up for us!!!!! While you are there, check out what the other Inspirational Inkettes have stitched up for you!!!!! You will LOVE it!!!! If you don't have any of these cuties, you should head on over to the store and get yourself a couple!!!! THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOO adorable!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!! HAVE a great rest of the week!!!!

Janet's Corrosive Challenge #20

This week's challenge on Janet's Corrosive Challenge Blog is DOGS! Well, I had a HARD time picking a dog stamp....I have about 100 to choose from!!! LOL I hadn't inked this one up in a very long time, so I thought I would use this image from High Hopes! Such a cute image! AND Tim loves to take Brick fishing with him, so it reminds me of them (although Tim has no hair!!)
Paper: Pacific Point; CTMH DP
Stamps: High Hopes; sentiment - Our Craft Corner
Accessories: linen thread; fish dies from Cuttlebug; crystal effects on bobber
Here is the inside. I'm not crazy about how the saying turned out (not an even semi-circle) but it will be ok!!!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great week!!!!
