Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Challenge - Punched shapes or die cuts

I am trying REALLY hard to join in more challenges - I find it keeps my MOJO flowing!! I do have commitments to my Design Teams so of course those come first...but if I can, I try to do a few challenges. The "CHALLENGE" for me, isn't getting them DONE on time, it is getting them photographed, edited and uploaded on my blog in time!!!! So quite often I do the challenges, but don't get them entered because I'm pokey on the tech part!! LOL

But not this week!! Wheeeee!!!!

Dare U 2 Digi Stamps challenge #22 is to use punched shapes or die cuts along with a Digi image (of course). I just bought these CUTE digi images from Pink Cat Studio so thought I would colour them up!!!! I used 2 Martha Stewart punches (bat, pumpkin) for my punches. The DP is some Halloween paper I've had FOREVER!!!! So I figured I better use some of it!!! It's kinda "busy" but it is for my neice who is "busy"....so it fits her personality to a T!!!

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge - Autumn Colour Challenge and good news!!!

For my second week of Guest Designing for Incy Wincy Designs, I chose the theme - AUTUMN Colours. So, for your project, please use AUTUMN colours!!!! I love the Fall & I love all the earthy colours that go with it!!! Here is my card for this challenge:

I used Chelsea, available at Incy Wincy Designs, and illustrated by Inger Harding. Isn't she cute??? The "orange" in the picture didn't turn out so great, the weather is kinda crappy so I didn't have very good lighting. It looks pink, but it is really a pale orange!!!! The AUTUMN colours in the paper are green, yellow, orange and black. I paper pieced her pants to match the DP and coloured the rest of her with Copics. I used the sketch again from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps challenge blog cuz I liked it sooo much!!!

Outta this world!!!!! (edited to add a funny story)

These are digital images from MyGrafico - sooo cute! You should go check them out!!! I made this card first for my nephew who is turning 5 this year!

The card base is black & then there is a layer of thin shimmery paper that my good pal & Simon Says DT sister, Lols sent me for my birthday - it is from Papermania in the UK & is called Luxury Voile Shimmer paper - it is so thin & shimmery & has a really neat texture to it!! It makes a perfect "space" background!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! I'm just sad I used up all the black (& pink, & yellow, & green....LOL)

I coloured all of the images with Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol and added Crystal effects to the ship, the aliens eyes and the space boys helmet. I popped out the space boy to make it look like he was flying through space. The little stars I had in my stash, so thought I'd add a bunch to this for a more SPACEY feel!!!! LOL The sentiment is done on the computer.

This second card I made for my niece. Same idea, just a little smaller & minus an alien!!! The sparkly paper is a yellow piece out of the Papermania pack that Lols sent me!!!

I HAD to add this FUNNY story about my niece who opened this card today.....she opened it and squealed.... "I'm an ARSE-TRO-NOT" and of course everyone laughed & then she said..."No, I said ASS" .... OMG, we laughed even harder!!!! Coming from a 6 year old going on 16 - it was PRICELESS!!!!!

I am so in love with my Magnolia stamps - they are just the cutest things and so much fun to colour!!!!! I used my copics to colour this one, and used up the last of that Funky Flowers paper from My Mind's Eye. I wanted to tie in the colours of the flowers on the DP so I used Tangerine Tango, Ruby Red and Regal Rose.

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps challenge

This is the second post for today, so please scroll down to see the other post!!!! THANKS!!

I decided to join in on The Sweet Stop challenge this week. It was a Sketch with a spin. We were asked to follow this sketch & add a colour challenge to it! It was a GREAT sketch, so how could I pass that up?? AND an opportunity to use my Sweet 'n Sassy stamps!!!! Here is the sketch:

I did decorate the insides with matching DP & Kraft paper, then stamped this sentiment inside. I couldn't take a picture of it, because I had already written in it, and I didn't want the recipient to see (ruin the surprise, ya know!!!) The stamp set I used is My Little Chickadee by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I used all SU paper, not sure the names of the series' though!!!

Is it the end of gardening season already??? BOOO HOOOOO

I made this card one day after I came in from tending to my garden - I am NOT a gardener by any means, I have a few flowers, a sad little tomato plant and a stick that is supposed to be a raspberry bush! I try, but I just can't seem to get things to FLOURISH!!! Ahhh well!!!! Anyway, on to the card.......it's an interactive one today!! It was fun to make!!!!

The card from the outside (this is a 6x6 card), door closed....... (see the little garden shovel??)



And open the garden shed door and there is Tilda, collecting her lilacs!!!



I even decorated the inside!!! I rarely do that!



The paper is from a pack I got from TAC awhile ago, can't even remember the name of it!!! The garden shed is from Alota Rubber Stamps & Tilda, of course is from Magnolia! The little garden shovel charm was bought a long time ago - I THINK from Stamping Bella, but don't quote me on that one!!! I popped the shed up on foam so that Tilda looked like she was far away, cut open the door with my craft knife, then added some flowers to complete the "garden" feel. The felt flowers & buttons were in the is little box of flowers & buttons (I think from Making Memories) that I got from my friend Lorinna for my birthday.....such pretty colours!!! Oh, I coloured the shed and Tilda with my Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol & added Crystal Effects to the pots for some dimension!! That's it, that's all!!

This week I used "Oh Happy Day" set, a Simon Says Stamp exclusive set. I paper pieced the umbrella to match the sky blue paper (which I stamped the lanterns onto to make my own DP). I added some bright pink flowers and sponging - this colour combination kinda happened by accident but I LOVE it!!! I added a little dragonfly for good luck too!

Incy Wincy Designs challenge - "NIGHT"

For my first week as Guest Designer for Incy Wincy Designs, the challenge was "Night" - and a challenge it was!! For some reason I couldn't come up with much! Finally, I got an idea!!!

The card below is made using Big Bug - I had in my head "Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite" but wasn't sure when or why you would send a card like that....LOL...so I added the sentiment "Sweet Dreams" - isn't he the cutest bug ever?? You can get him at the INCY WINCY DESIGNS store. The DP is some 'bug wing' paper I have had for literally 15 years - I don't even remember where I got it or why, but I found it when I was cleaning out my classroom last spring!!!

The "a-ha" project I came up with for the Night theme was a night light! So, off I went to the store to find a night light I could alter!!! Found one!!! I rushed home, and got busy!!!! I used the same Big Bug from Incy Wincy Designs, and lots of Stickles!!! Here is the result:

You're SEW sweet!!!

I made these little sewing kits to sell at the Christmas Craft Market. I got the pill bottles from the pharmacy, and the sewing essentials from the Dollar Store. Inside there are 2 spools of thread, a little tube of needles, safety pins, buttons, snaps, a needle threader, straight pins, and a measuring tape. I attached the mini scissors to the outside with ribbon. I stamped little flowers on the outside of the bottle with Staz-On ink, attached a topper (says "You're "sew" sweet") and .... VOILA...instant stocking stuffer!!!

These are great for in your car, your purse, trailer, desk at work......anywhere! They sold really well last year, so I'm going to make lots of these & sell them for $2. Tim thinks I should sell them for more, what do YOU all think??? $3???
