This week, the freebie this week is a Spring bouquet from Designed2Delight. I had a vision for this card and it didn't quite come out how I wanted it to! Ummm, not really sure what is up with this one....LOL... all I know is I don't really like it. Sorry! I THINK it might need a piece of DP between the light green card base & the pink layer, that might tie in the scallop ovals.

Incy Wincy Designs challenge .... COLOUR ME WONDERFUL

This weeks challenge at Incy Wincy Designs is called COLOUR ME WONDERFUL. We are asking you to colour with your FAVOURITE medium - whether it be Copics, Promarkers, pencils, Twinkling H2Os, watercolour, distress inks, chalks, etc.

For my card, I coloured with my Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol. This parrot is from Aspire to Thrive Children's Charity and you can get him for only $1.50. Isn't he great?!?!?

I made a gate fold card - which was actually a pre-made card from a pack I got at Michael's. I just added some scrap DP to the sides and a sentiment!! Here is a picture of it opened:

Karen's Doodles - Animal Antics

This weeks challenge at Karen's Doodles is ANIMAL ANTICS!!! I decided to use my new image of Bigsby and Belinda, called Bigsby's in love! They are coloured with Copics and stickles are added to the roses. Inside, the sentiment says, "You have the key to my heart".

The cardstock is Elegant Eggplant and the DP is from a DCWV Valentine pack I've had forever (actually, this was the VERY last piece in it!!). I used my Labels One Nestabilities from Simon Says Stamp, and my Word Window punch from SU, and a button from my stash.

The Corrosive Challenge Blog - SKETCH TIME!!!

This week at The Corrosive Challenge blog, we have a great sketch for you to try! Here is my card using a SWALK stamp called MY SISTER. You can get it at Simon Says Stamp. There are 4 stamps, unmounted, for only $4.99....and they are all SOOOOOO cute!!!! I have a few, and I really like them!!! More are on my wish list!!!

The card base is a pre-made one from a box from Michael's & I just found card stock bits to match. I coloured the sisters with Copics. This card is for my sister who has moved to Australia, so I kept it pretty simple and flat for easy mailing!!

Kenny K Valentine card

Well, this card WAS for last weeks Kenny K challenge but I"ve just been informed that this weeks challenge is CIRCLES, so I kinda sorta qualify for that one!! LO So, I"m gonna enter it anyway..what the heck!!!!!

This is Racey Roxie, from Kenny K's Krash Kittenz collection. I coloured her with Copics then cut her out and pop dotted her in the oval. The DP is from that Martha Stewart mat pad I bought awhile ago. Kept it simple with no "froofie" things since this is for Tim for Valentine's Day!

Simon Says....Anything But a Card

This week at Simon Says, we have an awesome challenge for you! If you head to the CHALLENGE BLOG, you will find out that the challenge this week is ANYTHING BUT A CARD..... and the Design Team's fabulous creations are there too!!! The Design Team is showcasing Tim Holtz...and holy man, there are a TON of options for using any of Tim's products - and Simon Says Stamp has it ALL!!!!!!

Here is the notebook I made:

IT is not a "typical" Tim Holtz-y project but that just isn't "me"....but I used a LOT of TH stuff!!!! I used Tim Holtz RETRO GRUNGE Designer paper for the base & insides (it really is green, although it is hard to tell!). The orange is a piece of SU paper from Sunny Garden DP. Then, I took a piece of Tim Holtz's Grunge Paper and ran it through my Cuttlebug with a Labels One Nestability. I spritzed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Lily Pad). The image is Magnolia, and I coloured Midsummer Tilda with Copics. The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz set called Odds & Ends. The rhinestones are also from my stash! You can get ALL of those supplies from Simon Says Stamp Superstore! How awesome is that?!?!?!

Here is the inside - I completely dismantle the notebook - coil, paper & both covers; then I cover them completely, so it doesn't matter how ugly they are underneath....they become beautiful when I'm done!!

This weeks freebie (& bonus image) from Faith at Designed2Delight is called "Kittens big heart". I just used the heart image for this card, and printed it quite large. I coloured it with Copics then covered it with Crystal Stickles. The paper is from a DP pack from K & Company called Life's Journey. I was on a bit of a roll with that paper so you might see a few cards with this paper - its so pretty!!!

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge - LOVE

I used a round card base that I got from Michael's in the $1.50 bin - I liked the colour; it's not really red but not really pink either! It matches the DP from K & Company perfectly. I coloured Cookie with my Koh-i-noor pencils and Gamsol. The sentiment is from a TAC set and the rhinestones are from my overflowing stash of bling!! LOL

I used DP from a DCWV pack called Nana's Kids. It matched perfectly with stripes and polka dots in all the right colours!! Wheee!!!! The image is Ollie & Olga, available at Karen's store HERE. I used an old sketch from a Karen's Doodles challenge that I really like, and the ribbon is just from my stash too.
