I'm leaving on a jet plane....don't know when......

HAHAHAH!!! Ok, seriously, you don't want me to finish singing for you!!!! BUT I am leaving tonight for ............ AUSTRALIA!!!!!

As some of you might remember, my sister & her family are living in Cairns, Queensland as she is on a teacher exchange! Well, I am headed there TONIGHT!!!!

Soooooooooooooo excited & so nervous! I've never flown that far! I am headed there with my other sister & her hubby. Tim is staying home with the dogs - I wish he were coming but he isn't much of a traveller & 16 hours on a plan is wayyyy too much for him!!! :(

Anyway, I have most of my DT stuff done and scheduled to post so hopefully Mr. Blogger is on top of things while I'm away! If I get a chance I will update with some pics here, but it depends how much fun we're having!!! LOL

Here is my card for this weeks challenge:

The Cardstock is a lime green I had in my stash and the DP is Grade School from DCWV. I have used several stamps from the set called SCHOOL DAYS - the school house, the sentiment and the apples. You can get this all at Simon Says Superstore The Copics that I used to colour it are also from Simon Says Stamp! I added crystal lacquer to the apples to make them shiny! The ribbon is from my stash, but it matched so perfectly, I had to add it!!

Simon Says Stamp has SO much to offer, it's incredible!!! Every day new items are arriving and it is so much fun to see all the new stuff coming through!! Go have a peek if you haven't already!!!

The Stamp Fairy Challenge.....Try a NEW technique

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN, this is my 3rd post for today! THANKS!!

Hello everyone! This is for The Stamp Fairy Challenge Blog, and their challenge this week is to TRY A NEW TECHNIQUE!! I have wanted to try a Side Step card, so I thought this was a perfect opportunity. I found a tutorial that looked pretty easy to follow, and it wasn't - so I "winged it" and this is what I came up with!!

The paper I have used is Basic Black (SU) and the DP is from Basic Grey. I have used PIRATES 1 and the SKULL FREEBIE. The treasure map and bottle are from Dustin Pike and the sentiment and parrot are from High Hopes. It is all coloured with Copics and crystal effects added to the bottle, the parrots beak, and the skull on the map (which is why they are really shiny...they must have caught the light from the flash! OOPS!)

Karen's Doodles Challenge - Summer Fun

This week's challenge at Karen's Doodles is SUMMER FUN. I am heading to Australia in THREE DAYS, and I 'm so excited I can hardly sleep! THAT is MY Summer fun!!!!!

The image I have used for this card is Cannonball. I coloured him with Copics & the water is with Pebbles Inc. chalks. The CS is Tempting Turquoise (SU) and the DP is from Nana's Kids (DCWV). The water splash brad is from my stash and the sentiment was made on the computer!

The doilie was a gift from a friend.

I have used Donny Ladybug 1 - who is probably the CUTEST ladybugbear I've ever seen!! LOL

I had a horrible time with the bow....does anyone have any good tips for making pretty bows???? I even have that bow maker and they turn out terrible!! LOL I'm "bow-challenged" LMAO

This week's challenge at Karen's Doodles is to use more than 1 image. All of Karen's Doodles come in JPG & PNG format which make it easy to do, even if you don't have Photoshop or any other fanyc photo editing software.

The images I have used for this card are Computer girl and Phone a Friend. I coloured them both with Copics. The CS is a bright green I had in my stash (might be Bazzill?!?) and the DP is Basic Grey. The flowers and ribbon are from my stash & the sentiment is from High Hopes.

I have coloured the bunny with Copics, and added Crystal Stickles to the butterflies. The button is from CURIO from Basic Grey. The ribbon is from my stash.
